celebrex

Ime really worried about taking these etoricoxib even tho i was assured by the receptionist that they are not in the same family as celebrex and meloxicam..I really do believe that the celbrex caused you to have the bowel obstructions as with me it caused me to lose the lining of my stomach and also a huge flare up of ulcerative colitis which as soon as my own doctor the visited me i was rushed in and he told me i should never even of been given them..Anyway just be careful what you take.
Mobic wasn't really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex. After they denied me 4 or 5 times, they finally approved it. So now I take 400mg of Celebrex a day and it's a lot more effective than any other NSAID i've been on.
) Any relationship between Celebrex (or) meloxicam and these new issues?? am also practically falling asleep all day. Any concern in taking either of these meds after having a resection? any help, pls...
and DDD cervical and lumbar pain with radiated inflammation. I have recently had Celebrex 200mg andthe newer Meloxicam (Mobic) to trial and compare. Mobic "seemed" to give more relief in quelling some of the mind invading searring burning in arms, legs, back of skull and face .... along with redness and swelling as inflammation grows ....especially once vertical and walking or typing like this. Do you know anything about the long term risks of daily bd 7.5mg Meloxicam ...
Would it be safer to go back to Meloxicam or ask my Dr. about something like Celebrex instead? Thanks very much!
Although I am Vicoden free since February the pain that was being masked by the drug is prevalent and constant. Been to the doctor and prescribed various pain killers such as Celebrex and Meloxicam but when the weather is rainy and humid the pain is constant. Guess I just have to live with it. Losing weight is a problem even though I walk about 5 miles a day and usually watch the calories. 216 in February and 210 now but should be in 170's.
Meloxicam is just an NSAID like Ibuprofen or Celebrex. It might help with some aches and pains. The Elavil might help with the depression aspect, but it would take several weeks to kick in. I wouldn't expect much help from either.
I've done the OTC meds and that's what took me to Mobic/Meloxicam. My doctor did the preauthorization and that's what was denied. I don't even know if Celebrex is going to bet miracle. I will go to their website and see if I can get some discount coupons. Just for general information to anyone that cares..... I have seen a top gastroantonologist (spelling) who killed the myth about Tylenol and liver function. His words were " Tylenol is the better OTC for people with liver problems.
I am in a lot of back and joint pain. I am going to see my pain management doctor today. I take meloxicam for arthritis and I think I'm going to ask for a change. I have been told that Celebrex and Indomethacin is a good non narcotic combination. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.
1 mg, Celebrex 200 mg, Alrex Eye Drops, Fluoxetine 20 mg, Omeprazole 20 mg, Meloxicam 15 mg, and Lisinopril 20 mg. With these as our regular daily subscriptions, can you recommend a Drug Plan that would be the most economical? We have been using Walgreens for many years and are looking for a program that will give us a reasonable price if we can continue with Walgreens. Thanks for any help or suggestions you can give us.
The area becomes inflamed, puts pressure on the nerve, then I start walking around in pain / like an old man. The docs eventually put me on NSAIDs (Celebrex and then Meloxicam) and I praise their name every single day since.
I go back in Feb. and he wants to drain my knee and inject it with steroids which I really don't want him to do. Mom wants me to keep taking the meds but after I ran out I refused to keep taking them. What should I do?
I am getting pains, that come and go, right between my scrotum and my rectum. It feels liek someone is stabbing a knife into me. The first two times it happened it was bareable but still hurt like a mother. It happened on time when i sneezed and happened one time when i jumped off a step to the ground. It was only like a 2 foot drop though but that really hurt. This last time it happened i was driving and it was the worst yet.
My doctor has had me on a trial perscription of pms-meloxicam, having already tried celebrex and naproxin. The meloxicam has been excellent for my feet and elbow but over the past two weeks my knee has taken a turn for the worse. As a matter of fact I found this forum this morning because I am home from work after being up all night with a throbbing pain and my mobility this morning is terrible. Even putting pants on was a challenge. I was wondering how quickly your knee pain progressed?
I have been suffering with restless legs, headaches predominantly in my forehead and eyes for about 3 and a half months, everyday, I also have had pains and tingling in my legs and arms with burning sensations, dizziness, like a spining in my body and often lose balance and stumble, memory loss and a mental fogginess. At one stage my legs stopped working properly for a couple of days.

I've been reading a lot about how birth control can cause depression and anxiety even after being on it for quite some time. Lately I am so anxious and depressed it's ruling my life. I can't make it through the day without crying and have since become afraid of being by myself in my house.
I currently have " Undiagnosed Joint Pain". I am seeing a doctor and am in the midst or working through blood tests and what not, to determine the cause of my joint pain. From the way things are looking, She indicated I probably have Rheumetoid Arthritis. In the meantime, until a diagnosis is confirmed I have tried a few different medications to help me get through the day. Yet, none of them are helping... I have tried Prednisone, which was terrible and made me feel a lot worse.
) I don't want to trade the constant ache and occasional sharp stab for muscle pulls... I had tried Celebrex and Mobic prior to this but, that was in conjunction with the narcotics. The Celebrex wasn't tolerated well but the Mobic worked great along with the Oxycodone for intolerable moments. Anyhow, like I said, all of your input is much appreciated. I have a very good repore with my pharmacist (Across the street, literally.
Celebrex and Daflon 500. •And NO IMRPOVE in this Stage. •The Second Doctors Visits. •On 02/April/2013 start using Meloxciam 15 mg for 2 weeks and I felt like I am 100% treated. •After I quit Meloxicam the swelling and pain return back.

I took meloxicam daily for a year and noticed that it elevated my blood pressure. The trouble with these NSAIDS (non-steroidal anti-inflmmatory) meds is that they all increase the risk of stroke and other cardiovascular events, although naproxen (Aleve) is thought to be less risky. I read that diclofenac sodium (aka Voltaren) is considered one of the most toxic NSAIDs. I have found that getting more exercise helps relieve my back and neck pain and water exercise is the best. Have you tried it?
These were perscribed in place of Flomax and Celebrex in the hopes of reducing the inflammation and opening the neck of the bladder to release the urine now being held in my bladder. Should I take these meds even though the Flomax (tamsulosin) is not approved for women? Also considering my past medical history Im scared to take either meds, should I?
I've had RA since age 5 and never had a problem with blood pressure until I was prescribed Vioxx, the non-sulpha cousin of Celebrex. My BP popped up and has never gone down by itself even though I went off the Vioxx. I take a daily BP med and my NSAID, which is meloxicam (Mobic) doesn't affect my BP too badly. What you also have to be careful of is OTC cold and allergy medications. The only one I can safely take is Mucinex, Coricidin, or prescription guaifenisen (sp?).
The meloxicam and the cymbalta. Meloxicam helps stiffness and pain,Cymbalta helps headaches, sleep, concentration, and nervousness. Heating pad helps back.

He also explained that basically there are 2 groups of NSAID's, one of which uses COXX 2 inhibitors. Vioxx is one of these; Celebrex is another, and there is a 3rd... and that all of these are probably going to be pulled from the market. In case anyone on Vioxx has not heard, it's been pulled off the market worldwide (Thursday) because it has been found to double the chance of strokes or heart attack AFTER 18 MONTHS OF USE. If you have taken it for shorter time, don't freak out!
I was diagnosed 12 years ago with Fibromyalgia and have dealt with the terrible pain and fatigue associated with it - It was only last year that I began having all these new symptoms of numbness, buzzing, tingling, weakness, facial pain, twitches . . . So I am wondering . . . does this sound like the typical course of FM? Is anyone else's FM getting worse with time? I have always had a healthy lifestyle regarding diet and exercise - plenty of rest too . . .
I stopped working just over 2 years ago so I could stay home and suffer out of public view. I still try and do what I can with maintaining the house and such, taking care of the hubby and the 2 teenage daughters. I did apply for SS disability, but have been awaiting a verdict on that for quite some time now. I’m getting ready to turn 43 in September and I can’t believe where I’m at during this point of my life. How much worse am I going to get? So far no one seems to know.
This is based on both personal experience, family experience (my brother is in a lot more pain than me, and had the worst year of his life on Celebrex), and finally, via a Celebrex sales slime. This person is related via marraige to me, and told us that she was aware of the almost valueless pain management equation concerning Celebrex, but it was her job to push it to Doctors.” – Blog name, Broom, http://www.medhelp.org/forums/addiction/messages/30733.
