I took a 10 panel std test prior to the test I was taking Cefdinir although I stopped taking it 5 days before testing would the cefdinir affect the results which were negative.
Now have a possible sinus infection and doctor gave me Cefdinir. Two days into the medication, my neuropathy symptoms have increased. The burning, needle like sensations and numbness. I do not want to go through that nightmare again. So I stopped taking the antibiotic and am waiting to hear from my doctor for an alternative drug. Is this considered an allergic reaction or a severe symptom. Anyway to know which antibiotics I can use and not have this reaction.

was just diagnosed last wednesday with the flu, and then yesterday 5 days later was diagnosed with a sinus and ear infection. for the last couple of days i have had really bad vertigo wether I am standing or sitting, feels kinda like I am drunk all day long, and really spiking my anxiety. i'm on the following regime for 1 month and have a follow up to see how i'm doing. the supplements enhance the effectiveness of the antibiotics and the 2nd antibiotic (cefdinir) is to go after the lyme.
He diagnosed me with bronchitis brought on my the sinus issue and scheduled an appointment with an allergist. Than ran the allergy test with negative results. Yes, all 58 pin pokes in the back were negative and then 17 injections under the skin of my forearms all came back negative. I have the septum surgery, that was 4 months ago. That was last Tuesday and since that time, I have been taking the antibiotic cefdinir that had been perscribed to me as well as keeping my leg elevated above my heart level. Gradually, the swelling began to subside, as did the redness and pain. I've been fighting a battle of diarrhea for the past four days with no end in sight.
Yesterday I went to the hospital because I began to experience sever dehydration.
I was also worried because three weeks prior to experiencing this diarrhea I had laparoscopic surgery to repair a very large hiadial hernia.
Last night at the ER they could see no reason for my symptom. The only symptom being sever diarrhea.
I've had a sore throat for about 3 weeks now. I originally went to the doctor with overall feeling of malaise, headache, fever, slight sore throat and abdominal pain. I was tested for strep and mono. Strep came back positive (Strep C) and negative for mono. I was prescribed amoxicillin and was feeling much better on day 3 until I developed a horrible yeast infection. I was then prescribed the one dose of fluconazole and the yeast infection was cleared.
I just had first root canal #14 through dental crown. Endodonist said there was pus -- infection. I have had allergic reaction to Levaquin and AzitheraI and have had side effects diarrhea and lightheaded from Cefdinir and Cephalexin so he prescribed Cipro 500mg. Said he doesn't usually prescribe but given that it have taken Cipro 250mg in the past (or urinary tract infection with no side effects. Is Cipro as effective as other antibiotics for dental infection?

I'm a female and 5 days after giving oral sex to a male I came down with a sore throat and puss pockets went to dr and was put on z pack. That didn't clear it so I was put on cefdinir pus pockets are gone and my throat is no longer sore, however I have whitish grey flat patches in my throat on both sides just behind my back teeth. 2nd dr I went to tested me and I tested positive for yeast she gave me Nystatin for 10 days and patches are still there.

For the past 7 months, I have been battling with severe anal itching after taking Cipro for prostatitis. The itch began while I was on the drug back in June, and has never let up.

Our 6yr old has been sick since Dec. 16, '07. He started out with bronchitis and was put on Azithromycin for 3 days. Once he was off he had high fever and still coughing. We took him back to his doctor and had x-rays taken. He then had pneumonia in his right lower lobe and was put on Cleocin for 10 days. Once he was off the Cleocin he started having fever again and still had his cough. Took him back to his doctor and had more x-rays. He had pneumonia again, but in his left lower lobe.

About three weeks ago had unprotected sex with a stranger. Two days later i had severe burning in urethra and frequent urge to urinate. I have not noticed any type of discharge. At the time i had a sinus infection and completed a course of Azithromycin. The Azithromycin did not clear the sinus infection so i was put on Cefdinir at 300 mg twice a day for one week. My hope was that if i had anything one of these two antibiotics would clear it up.
He was congested and having pain in the front of his head. My doctor thought it was a sinus infection and put him on cefdinir he was having terrible stomach pains so the doctor switched him to azithromycin for the remainder of his perscription. He now complaines of headaches, stomachaches, back pain thoughout the day on and off. Went back to doctor he thinks it's not sinus because of the two antibiotics. He asked me to give him Zyrtec (allergy med.) for two weeks to see if he has allergies.
