Avatar f tn Your doctor may have an explanation to account for your symptoms but, if not he/she may have to empirically prescribe another drug, one not in the category of bactrim and Cefdinir. It would also be reasonable for you to ask your doctor to contact the pharmaceutical manufacturers of these drugs to find out if reactions such as yours have been reported.

Avatar f tn I took a 10 panel std test prior to the test I was taking Cefdinir although I stopped taking it 5 days before testing would the cefdinir affect the results which were negative.
Avatar f tn It probably takes a couple of days for the antiboitics to get out of your system. You might wanna use a second form of protection just in case.
Avatar m tn Third, what are my odds of catching Syphillis give it is more prevelant in SE Asia and Thailand. My final question is that I visited a doctor in HK and he prescribed Cefdinir 300mgs, 2x a day for 2 weeks to treat possible STDs like gonorrhea, chlamydia or nongonococcal urethritis (NGU) and he also indicated this could treat Syphilis. After spending some time online, I am confused and not certain that will treat the above issues.
Avatar f tn Different docs use different combinations of meds, so there is no absolute right/wrong on these things. I was on: -- Mepron (generic: atovaquone) and Zithromax (azithromycin) for Babesiosis; then I was on: -- Biaxin (clartihromycin) and Omnicef (cefdinir) for Lyme. However, I have seen references in various places online to Flagyl being used against babesia. If you search "babesiosis flagyl" you'll find what I did. Take care!
Avatar m tn hey wanted to share with the group a visit with my new LLMD in NYC who is well known for this as well as other hard to diagnose/treated illnesses. the consultation was north of $1000 so y'all get it for free ;) i'm on the following regime for 1 month and have a follow up to see how i'm doing. the supplements enhance the effectiveness of the antibiotics and the 2nd antibiotic (cefdinir) is to go after the lyme.
1831920 tn?1320857757 I suggest you look up some articles on crate training and have your husband read them. We are not talking in humane crating here. He probably has visions if puppy mill dogs. Many of us here are experienced and "humane" dog people. Dogs are basically den animals. All my dogs have usually gone in their crates on their own to nap, my little one is in her crate now. I leave the door open. If your dog is ill or injured, the crate comes in handy.
Avatar f tn Also, keep the area dry, moisture can cause a problem in that area. If you use wet wipes to cleanyourself, stop. They can cause irritation.
612551 tn?1450022175 like myself who is also a (human) medical technician (nurse) said that he has had success with Benadryl Topical liquid on his dogs. I know the fact that it is safe/recommended for human use is not proof it is safe or effective on dogs. Still I'd like to give it a try. On the ears there is no way he can lick/ingest the stuff, on the feet he may get some ingested and perhaps that is a different issue.
Avatar m tn t be coming from the phenobarbital. The usual side effects in canines from phenobarbital use are lethargy, polydipsia (increased thirst), polyuria (increased urination), polyphagia (increased appetite), anxiety and weight gain. From the symptoms I think your vet is probably right on the money with the diagnosis of a mass in the brain, but I doubt that the tremors signify pain because you said they are of short duration.
1627010 tn?1299446388 and since your baby is use to getting meds in her eyes i am sure she will be fine with it.You can also have it compounded into drops if drops are better then the ointment.I use the compounded drops it seems to last longer than the other.I put 2 drops in twice a day.I hope your baby is feels better soon.
Avatar f tn For the last or two years when the weather changes or anything the right side of my face would swell and I will be in pain but every time I go to the dr or ER over it they tell me it's a toothache but my teeth don't hurt it only hurts up beside my nose and by my eye like it's my sinus..
Avatar f tn It could also be a fungal infection, which is more common in dogs with floppy ears. The ear fold keeps in more moisture than in pointed-eared dogs. It would be a good idea to have your vet take a look so you're not blindly throwing things at the problem that may not work, or may make the situation worse. It's also a good idea to occasionally check for, and remove, any ear wax that is visible. We swab ears with a Q-tip about once a month.
Avatar f tn There are times that human medications may be prescribed for you to use in your dog, but ONLY after a thorough physical exam and possible diagnostic testing to determine what is causing the problem. When laxatives are used in dogs or cats without the proper supervision, they have the potential to cause SERIOUS problems. Definitely seek out your veterinarian's help for your girl.
Avatar f tn This comes as a complete surprise to me, since we were in a committed relationship. He told me he thinks he’s had it for several months, but only recently went to a dr for testing and diagnosis. Here’s my question: after several internet searches, the only “symptom” I can find that I have is the spots in my eyes, and a very, very slight discharge. I asked my ex if he was sure and he confirmed that yes, his test came back positive.
Avatar f tn for the last couple of days i have had really bad vertigo wether I am standing or sitting, feels kinda like I am drunk all day long, and really spiking my anxiety. I was put on cefdinir but have not even been on it a full 24 hours yet. I was wondering two things. is the vertigo/dizziness normal with these infections and how long until I can expect some relief from this medication?
Avatar n tn These are my symptoms as they occured in order. My boyfriend preformed oral sex and he has a beard we think this may be the reason for these symptoms. Avatar m tn Just recently I had contracted i bad bout of cellulitis in my right leg. That was last Tuesday and since that time, I have been taking the antibiotic cefdinir that had been perscribed to me as well as keeping my leg elevated above my heart level. Gradually, the swelling began to subside, as did the redness and pain. As I have never had cellulitis before, I was naturally worried when I actually found out the seriousness of this condition, especially if left untreated.
Avatar f tn I was not tested again for strep but was given cefdinir. I realize I am only day 3 but my throat hurts worse than it did to begin with. I'm having trouble swallowing and have a consistent stabbing pain in my throat. I'm curious if anyone else has had similar symptoms or knows if this could be a continuation of strep or something else.
Avatar m tn I just had first root canal #14 through dental crown. Endodonist said there was pus -- infection. I have had allergic reaction to Levaquin and AzitheraI and have had side effects diarrhea and lightheaded from Cefdinir and Cephalexin so he prescribed Cipro 500mg. Said he doesn't usually prescribe but given that it have taken Cipro 250mg in the past (or urinary tract infection with no side effects. 851294 tn?1239015716 Unless he is having cluster seizures, in which case he should be taken to an emergency bet, do not home-medicate your dog for seizures. A singular, isolated seizure can indicate anything from low blood sugar to idiopathic epilepsy and should never be medicated for at home until a veterinarian has examined the dog and has given his opinion on what the cause was and whether or not treatment is even necessary. Just hang in there until the vet is open and call the office as soon as you can.
