Avatar f tn My son had been taking Tysabri for 3 1/2 years. During that time he’s had at least 3 blackouts where he has had very bizarre behavior but does not remember any of it. The neurologist said it wasn’t caused by the Tysabri, I disagree. This past June he went off of Tysabri and in August started taking the pill Tecfidera. Last week he had another blackout! Again the neurology office said it wasn’t the med that he should call his PCP. I really think it’s these medications causing the blackouts.

Avatar m tn HI rumpled when my sister use to experience it more frequently she was under alot of stress and ever since her stress has gone down the frequency of the blackouts have gone down but its still happening so can it be relator to strss or tension? i kno i have looked up her blackout symptom to the brain tumr and it does not match to any of the sympotms for the brain tumor so my guess the brain tumor symptom is less likely?
Avatar f tn This really isn't a back problem. Two years ago I leaned over to pick something up and a new and very large can of hairspray came off the counter and hit me on the base of the skull and I blacked out and layed on the carpet for several minutes. This repeated itself as a blackout and my dr.
Avatar n tn t find anything. After a good nights sleep he is back to himself and has no memory of the day before. They say it isn't his heart, there is no evidence of a stroke or dementia. Do you have any ideas?

Avatar f tn Okay, I have posted here before about blackouts and drinking but I've noticed a new problem arising. Since my last post I have tried my best to heed to warnings and severely limit my alcohol intake. I'm at a point now where I may have a glass of wine once in a while. However, I have still been experiencing blackouts but these occur during the day when I'm not drinking at all, or haven't drank in days.
Avatar m tn Recently, on Saturday night I was drinking very very strong beer, (9% alc) and had a few shots. I remember most of the night, except the time I usually have problems with, how I arrived home. I fear that I might have been taken advantage of (eventhough I am a straight male) by another male. I will freely admit that I have irrational OCD problems/thoughts and disease phobias.
Avatar n tn cold sweats, uncontrolable shaking, diarrhea, fainting, blackouts, hear heartbeats, ringing in the ears. what are these symptoms from?
Avatar m tn Why do I only loose my memory of heading home? I remember every detail, like the drinks I had and the conversations etc of the event. Seems strange its only when I stand up and leave. Does food/mixing drinks change anything?
Avatar n tn Hi, and thank you for responding! The results that I receieved today say that there is a "polypoid lesion in the right middle turbinate causing left nasal septal deviation." Is this serious, or something that I shouldn't worry about? Could it be the cause of the blackouts, or is it just a coincidence? Thanks again!
1673424 tn?1304007191 m having sharp shooting pain through out my entire head, short blackouts and sever dizziness. I also feel somewhat weak , and have not had much of an appetite. I have tried every over the counter medicaton there is. What could this be, and should I go to the E.R.?
151462 tn?1359172276 This causes my autonomic system to lower my blood pressure and heart rate, but instead of slowly dropping the two, I bottom out....and BAM unconcious...usually just for a minute or two...but it is impressive. Anyway...they considered a small pacemaker to keep my heart rate from dropping too low, but meds took care of it, so that was never done. I want to stress that the pace maker was NOT because of a heart condition. It was NOT because I was going to drop dead from heart attack.
7412561 tn?1390729433 Hi There, My husband (38) who is epileptic has now been suffering from what i call mini blackouts 1-2 times a week. He takes Epanutin tablets one 300mg per day and hasn't suffered from a full blown seizure in more than 7 years. He was driving one day though and had a mini blackout. It was like his vision was blurred.
Avatar m tn Sorry Hi, My question really is about memory loss. I am only 24 years and I feel like I am too young to be experiencing this kind of memory loss; I don't know what you want to call it but I just think maybe it's getting worse? I always had a little hard time remembering things but recently I think it has reached a level now where it is impacting me and my surrondings. Less than a week ago, I lost my iphone, (or so I thought) when going at the post office.
Avatar f tn In high school and university I used to party (not too much, just regular) and did not have blackouts with the exception of one time, but the amount of alcohol consumed was extreme... Recently, in past 3 month I attended two parties (bridal shower and wedding of my friends) and both times i don't recall what happened at the end of the party. My husband had to take me home. He tells me what I was doing but I have absolutely no memory about those events. I don't drink.
Avatar f tn If you do not have any other neurological signs, any tingling, numbness, memory problems, blackouts, etc then this could be a familial trait and other members in your family either in this generation or previous generations must have had it too. The other possibility is that there is a brain infarct or localized demyelination etc in the brain and in such a case you could be having localized or generalized neurological symptoms. Please consult a neurologist regarding this. Hope this helps.
