t an upper respiratory infection which she will need medication to clear it up. Our second cat had an upper respiratory infection and she needed veterinary medicine to clear it up. We are all pet parents here on this forum and we all attempt to help each other with our kitties often with much success. I wish you and your kitty well.

I have allergies im wondering if i can buy certain pills or what do you do when u get them??

we just got a kitten, and although i lived all my life in my partents house with a cat, i seem to have developped a pet allergie. i have itchy eyes, sneezing, easy headaches,difficulty in breathing, sensation of a burning nose. i started taking some allergie stop medicine and use some spray to decongesionate my nose. they work, in big lines, very good, my question is: for how long can i still use this medicine? do not want to abuse it. how expensive are the allergie stop shots?

I will be 31 weeks exact tomorrow and was wondering what medicine is good to take for allergies? I also have this cough with allergies but i dnt know what to take that is safe for baby.

How do y'all deal with cat allergies?!?!? I've just recently become super allergic to my best friends cat's and I wanna be able to go see her without her cats killing me!!! (or me wanting to kill myself for that matter!) It's really bad, and my eyes, ears, throat, nose and basically whole body have really become anti-cats lately :( What should I do?!?!?! My cat was diagnosed with ulcer on his eye. The vet prescribed some medicine and said it should heal in 2 weeks but it has been over a month or more and the results are very small or almost non existent. Allergies aren't hereditary but they can come and go. Some people outgrow allergies and others get them when they are older. My little brother had a lot of allergies when he was a kid (including pet dander) and outgrew them, while I didn't have them as a child but became more prone to them as an adult.

I have had cat allergies all my life which is a REAL bummer because I'm an animal lover and love kitties! My main symptoms? Itchy eyes. I get one cat hair near me and my eyes turn red, swell, start watering and then itch horribly. This is a common allergic reaction to cats. If it is a new cough, I'd say it's likely a virus and coughs linger with that. Once the air way is irritated, the cough will stay for a bit. But all allergies I suffer and my son involve itchiness.

sensitive commonly to a preservative or ingredient in dry kibble type food. grain allergies are common in cats and most cat foods are full of unnecessary grains just b/c they are 'cheap' fillers for the manufacturer, they do absolutely nothing for the diet!!! there are some 'grain free' diets on the market that may be a worth a trial. EVO, Wellness and Natures Variety are a few. cats can also suffer from environmental allergies....such as what you decide with your kitty.....

This morning I ran to the store, bought some cat shampoo and allergy medicine and came home and bathed first the long haired one, then my other cat. It did seem to loosen up a lot of hair and such. Maybe that will help some with the hair and dander. I'll try to vacuum more too. Not sure what else I can do at this point but I will check into that air filtration and cleaning the ducts. I take Zyrtec 10 mg tablet daily im allergic to my cat/ seasonal allergies etc.

over the next couple weeks i started getting vertigo whenever it felt like my ear was starting to open it would last 2 hours to 10 hours, not getting any answers from my doctor, i went to the emergency rm.

Some vets will recommend benadryl to cats with allergies. Usually, those allergies are presented by a cat scratching, not a swollen throat and paw. Talk to the vet first. You need not make an apointment. Call the vet and ask him if 1 ml one or twice a day is good for her. Good luck with your kitty.

You could get a lot more years out of him that way. Our cat coughs and snorts from allergies, more towards the fall and winter. Did they definately rule out allergies for yours? I know what you mean about having a hard time getting him there, and them being scared while they're there, but keep telling yourself its for his own good, and he's a lucky cat because he's getting so much care.

I was told with my first they don't develop allergies until the age of 1 or 2 yrs. I can't remember which. It's been 5 yrs ago lol. Having a cat will actually help build up their immune system.

(like fleas) can cause allergies. Not saying your cat has fleas....just saying you might want to double check :) Good Luck.

hey guys, I'm 4 weeks pregnant and the whole time I've been getting sinus allergies from mine and my partners dogs!!

Last night I had some allergy issues. This is not unusual because I have a cat that I'm allergic to. Anyway, my eyes got all itchy and watery like they do. I put a cold pack on it for a few minutes then took my allergy medicine and went to bed like I've done many times. When I woke up this morning the eye is still more red than normal, it's watery, and it still feels puffy. I know it's not night allergy since the cat doesn't come in the bedroom.

Do you have a good mattress cover to prevent dust mites? I know my asthma is worse when my allergies are acting up. Do you have any food allergies? Have you considered allergy shots for pets, etc? Hopefully this helps. Good luck fellow asthma sufferer!

When I went home I played with my cat and the allergies returned. What could have caused this and should I adopt a new cat if I somehow now have cat allergies?
