155701 tn?1230047101 I would consider seeing a Naturopathic physician and/or exploring homeopathy. I've had better experiences with homeopathy than I have with all of these drugs prescribed by my physicians ! There is also saline nose drops that work wonders for me... they are called "J's Nose Drops" and you can purchase them over the internet. Good luck !
1844975 tn?1318900277 Thanks for the suggestions! The whole Gluten-free revenue is still tricky for me because it seems like I'm allergic to every substitute and the substitute for that. But I will definitely take a look at the recipes. I'm not allergic to latex, thank goodness. I wouldn't want to add anything else onto my list. Besides food allergies I have environmental allergies like wasp, hornet and bee stings, grasses, trees and mold/pollen.
Avatar n tn I will second the homeopathy suggestion. My son's allergies turned out to be from adrenal insufficiency, so the hydrocortisone he must now take is controlling his symptoms. However, it was not until after I took him for treatment by a homeopathic doctor that he began to have relief. Do you have digestive disorders also, or is it more nasal and throat reactions? Also, I believe Enzymedica has an enzyme formula called Allerase, designed to reduce allergy symptoms.
Avatar m tn ve also tried quercitin and have had some success, but have had much success with homeopathy. I even wiped out a couple of my allergies, using homeopathic remedies alone ! The key is finding out what you are allergic to and then getting the right remedy and not just guessing.
Avatar m tn You should consider homeopathy for your food allergies. And yes (after reading your other post), food allergies can definitely cause bloating and it is common for your heart to race after being exposed to a food or chemical that you are allergic to.
Avatar n tn My cat has been sneezing and having nasal discharge for a month now. She has no other symptoms. She plays, she eats well. Just sneezes and has nasal drainage. Her eyes are good. No swollen or runny eyes. Is this allergies? I noticed she usually only sneezes when her nose touches objects or she sniffs. Sometimes mucous comes out with the sneeze.
1232362 tn?1333135406 I was hoping you would come along and answer - thanks FM. Don't you also give Akira a little Zyrtec?
458072 tn?1291415186 Well the queen of England so I have heard takes it and she comes from a very long lived family .and uses Homeopathy so did her Mom ...
Avatar m tn Please can you help me. My cat has cerebellar hypoplasia (although he is quite mobile) and he is obsessively attached to me. He follows me everywhere, to the point of chasing me if i try to get away - he is not being aggressive, he wants me to pick him up and cuddle with him. Sometimes (often) he has a terrible smelling behind, which leaves and awful smell on clothes when you pick him up - hence i do not always want to do so until he has been cleaned with wet wipes (he doesn't wash).
Avatar m tn over grooming is usually due to allergies, can be contact allergies..and the back legs are mostly incontact with -litter or carpets. change the brand of litter you are using and be sure its NON scented. If you use cleaners on the floors....stop and use natural products for cleaning such as vinegar. try a different laundry soap(since you say he spends alot of time on the bed)...and NO dryer sheets....try the dryer balls..less chemicals.

Avatar f tn How do y'all deal with cat allergies?!?!? I've just recently become super allergic to my best friends cat's and I wanna be able to go see her without her cats killing me!!! (or me wanting to kill myself for that matter!) It's really bad, and my eyes, ears, throat, nose and basically whole body have really become anti-cats lately :( What should I do?!?!?! Thanks for the tips and suggestions friends!
Avatar f tn Allergies aren't hereditary but they can come and go. Some people outgrow allergies and others get them when they are older. My little brother had a lot of allergies when he was a kid (including pet dander) and outgrew them, while I didn't have them as a child but became more prone to them as an adult.

Avatar f tn over the next couple weeks i started getting vertigo whenever it felt like my ear was starting to open it would last 2 hours to 10 hours, not getting any answers from my doctor, i went to the emergency rm.
Avatar f tn I was told with my first they don't develop allergies until the age of 1 or 2 yrs. I can't remember which. It's been 5 yrs ago lol. Having a cat will actually help build up their immune system.
Avatar f tn hey guys, I'm 4 weeks pregnant and the whole time I've been getting sinus allergies from mine and my partners dogs!!
Avatar n tn When I went home I played with my cat and the allergies returned. What could have caused this and should I adopt a new cat if I somehow now have cat allergies?
Avatar m tn Greetings! My name is Tom and I suffer from severe non- food related allergies. Although they can be controlled, I find that my allergic reaction to dogs is so strong that drugs have little effect. The obvious solution is to take immunotherapy (allergy shots). However, when I contacted my allergist's secretary she said that they do no have one. I would like to rebut her claim, but in order to do so I need proof that this exists.
7165624 tn?1395647767 I have allergies im wondering if i can buy certain pills or what do you do when u get them??
Avatar m tn ve had an allergy test this is why you know that you are have animal dander allergies. Do you have a dog, cat , bunny or hamster as a pet ? Just wondering. Be well.
Avatar n tn Hi Kiki, My cat was just dx'd with herpes in her eyes. For years, we too, thought it was allergies, but no. According to my vet, herpes is very common in cats. The way I figured out what was possibly going on with my cat was to google "feline herpes conjunctivitis." Some sites will give you pictures to look at and compare as well as descriptions. Discharge from the eyes have many possible dx's, but a simple blood test will confirm whether your kitty has herpes or not.
Avatar f tn My daughter has eczema from 3 months. She has lot of food allergies, environmental allergies. She developed wheezing at 2 yrs. Her skin improved when we avoided the foods that she was allergic to. When she was 3 1/4 yrs (it was winter) her skin became very itchy and looked like prickly heat and none of the soothing cream helped - the doctor prescribed Elidel - it healed the flare ups but I had to use elidel everyday which we did not prefer.
Avatar f tn ve tried Feliway, and Amitryptlene for one of our cats that would spray, and neither of them worked. He has been a basement/outdoor cat for the past two years, because every time we let him upstairs with the other cats (6) he sprays on everything. He is neutered, and had a health checkup, so it has to be behavorial. Has anyone tried Floxetine on their cat for spraying, and did it work. Did you have to keep him on it permanently, or just for awhile?
Avatar n tn I have been diagnosed with allergies and a "reactive airway" for years now. Recently I have been working with Hospice and have to go into homes of smokers. I find that since working for Hospice that I have recurrent bronchitis (severe) with fever, chills, malaysia, about every two months or so. Is there any naturopathic treatment that would help me keep from getting sick so much? I realize this topic could cover many areas of ENT issues, but any response would be appreciated.
