Mild enlarged but non pathologically enlarged Left level 2a lymph node is noted. Additional small lymph nodes in the left jugular. Internal chain are noted Bilaterally. About 3 weeks ago I noticed a mobile rubbery lymph node that was swollen to my groin which went away in about 3 days. Then I started to develop a couple of swollen lymph nodes in my neck - most have gone but there's still one there that is tender movable and feels rubbery. It's been there for a little under 2 weeks now. Shortly after the lymp nodes started showing in my neck I experienced a very intense fatigue that lasted about 3 days. I feel back to baseline now.

Over a week ago (09/01) my son brought my attention to his lymph nodes along his jaw line that were really swollen, they didn't seem to hurt to the touch nor did they deem warm, but had no other problems, symptoms, or fever. When I took him to the E.R. the doctor asumed that it was an staph or something and sent us home with an antibiotic. The next morning (09/02) the lymph node up by his ear was swollen, on the same side as the jaw line ones.
It started with really dry mouth like i was choking and lymph nodes in my throat began to get big and red. The doctor i went to said i had post nasal drip and to take allergy medicine and i have for quite some time, it isnt helping. My dry mouth seems worse and i looked at my nose with a flashlight and my sinus look really inflammed, could this all be because of a sinus infection? And what can i do? Im going to go to the doctors again on monday but id like to go in ready.
That is not to say yours is anything other than a lymph node. the fact that you had a fever and dizzy with the lymph nodes suggests you got an inner ear infection from swimming. Try using ear plugs. I had the same problem swimming in a gym pool and kept getting ear infections (which I had never had in my life). So, it can happen.
after taking the antibiotics my doctor told me it could take 8 or 9 months for the lymph nodes to go away---he was right...what caused your swollen lymph nodes?...i guess it just depends on what causes the lymph nodes to swell as to how long they will stay that way....i recently had swollen lymph nodes in my neck and armpit, but they went away after a couple of weeks and i had no apparent infection or anything---sometimes our bodies do strange things...
There was no cat scratch, although my daughter was watching someone's cat for a week but she is very certain there was no scratch.
Dermatologist put her on a very strong steroidal cream to be used twice a day. She still has the swollen lymph nodes. Dermatologist said the nodes were movable. Doesn't think there is a connection between the rash and the swollen nodes, though. As I said before, her white count is 3.4. She's not tired, works out three times a week.
Usually, lymph nodes swell when your body has a reaction to a bacteria or virus. But they have to be a certain size like 10mm to be considered actually significant not pea sized or really small. Nathan, I was actually diagnosed with cat scratch fever at age 4. Swollen lymph nodes, fever, sore throat, although I don't really remember a lot, just that I felt bad and had to stay in the hospital for about a week. I know I got a lot of shots ( I assume antibiotics) while I was in the hospital. I've often wondered if you can get it again if you've already had it. Did you get any blood tests? Maybe it hasn't cleared your system. Hope you feel better!
After that I started to get swelling in my neck and ears started to clog up.. so I went back to the doctor they did a cat scan and notice my left lymph nodes and parotid gland was a lil bigger on left side but said it’s nothinh to worry about.. he said that he couldn’t feel anything in my neck and if it got bigger to let him know he just think it’s allergies and anxiety.. so I took his word and relaxed for a few months and it went away .. not all the way away but 90% percent ..

One doctor told me he thought it was allergies but I am not sure if that causes lymph nodes to swell cause my ENT doctor said that allergies wouldnt cause my lymph nodes to swell. My PCP says that I could test my allergies to see what allergies I specifically have but I am already on Zyrtec and Veramyst nasal spray that seem to help for my allergies and that would not solve the lymph node problem.
problem started 2 years ago i woke one morning feeling really unwell and have never felt the same since, symptoms was, swollen glands, muscle weakness and spacey feeling, wnet to doc they said virus, few weeks later all lymph nodes in body were swollen, went for scan on my spleen . nothing looked fine, 2 months after that went to a blood doctor t he said it was due to an over-active thyroid gland..

I recently had a second MRI of my left shoulder following a car accident this past August. The first MRI showed enlarged axillary lymph nodes. My doctor couldn't feel anything and all my blood work was fine so we just let it go. Well after continuing shoulder pain I just had a second MRI which still showed enlarged lymph nodes. Now my doctor is concerned that I might have breast cancer! I'm only 29years old and otherwise healthy...just a sore shoulder.
There are 2 enlarged left-sided Laparoscopic lymph nodes. The largest one measures approximately 1.5 cm in diameter. There are additional shoddy lymph nodes throughout the neck (left greater than right) which do not meet strict size criteria. There are innumerous subcentimeter nodules within the premalar subcutaneous fax (right greater than left). Findings best seen upon axial images 26-32.There is a prominent jugular vein in the region of the patient's palpable abornmality.
