I was just diagnosed with an autoammune disease and don't want to take plaquenil just yet. Doctor said to take celebrex and a muscle relaxer. I have been taking 1 mg of xanax for 3 weeks and before that it was about twice a week as needed. I was having such anxiety and sleep issues rhemy said to take it every day. Now 3 weeks later she wants to try the new coctail of celebrex and muscle relaxer.
I voted 5-10 but I don't take meds specifically prescribed for fibro. They are for the stuff that goes along with it....

After being seriously overmedicated for 4 years before my dx....I'm also very careful about what meds I take and how they interact. I didn't have any luck with flexeril, amitriptyline or cymbalta. I took vioxx for years and felt great on it....
prescribed Medrol which I finished taking over a week ago. I have also been taking Vicodin and Flexeril. The Vicodin seems to be constipating me (bonus). The pain intensifies when I wake up and try to get out of bed, but it is not isolated and remains constant throughout the day. I've tried ice packs and heating pads. I haveHave had this for about 6 weeks. Just wondering if anyone can give me advice or a magic cure. I stopped boot camp two weeks ago.
For short periods these are great but long term use not only causes liver damage but NSAIDs used long term(over 2 wks) can cause kidney damage. If you have pain and take narcotics as perscribed or less, the likelyhood of becoming dependent are between zero and nothing.A Dr. once told me that we are only trying to lessen my pain not eliminate-make it bearable.
u should not only for the reason that everyday forward puts another day between you and your addiction so i say you keep moving forward, you can not expect to not have any w/ds, and you and you can not use every time you start to have them or you are never going to be clean, theres no magic pill thats going to take your w/ds away, and if you pick up a pill everytime w/ds get rough you are never going to get clean.. .taking pills=not clean....

Can you tell us a bit more about your usage with Vicodin? How much you were taking etc? Where are you now with your usage? Have you stopped? If you can give us a bit more history, it's easier for us to help you. Most of us here can not do the taper either and many went the cold turkey route, myself included so it can be done. The one positive I read is that you began in Febuary. 6 months is not too long so it will likely be a bit easier than the Oxy. How long were you on the Oxy before?
I am currently trying to taper off of Lortab after a failed C/T attempt and am having sleep issues. I was wondering if any of you know if you can take Wellbutrin and Melatonin at the same time. I took Wellbutrin for a Post-Traumatic Stress situation last year and then stopped once my depression was mostly over and then I started using it again about two weeks before I decided to quit the pills in the hopes that it would help the depression that i knew would happen.
Flexeril and soma are both muscle relaxers....doesn't seem as if teking both each day would be of any benefit...flexeril is the safer of the two as far as addiction....there are some warnings posted as far as anti-depressents and some of the aminos...I was on lexapro (anti-depressent) during detox...nuerontin, I also take flexeril rarely but it can help you sleep..I followed the recipe without difficulty...
