flexeril and vicodin

Flexeril is a muscle relaxant. Sweetie, I would ask your doctor about something like that before taking anything. You never know if you will have a reaction to a medication and if it was not prescribed to you and you received it from someone else that person could potentially be in trouble with the law. I do not believe Flexeril is addictive. But, please call your doctor instead. That's just my two cents! WTG for being clean from vicodin for 3 weeks!!! AWESOME!!!

Hi again has anyone tried Flexeril (muscle relaxant)? Any bad side effects and did it help pain , I have I guess myofascial pain. Any trouble with withdrawal gettnig off of it?

Generally with spinal injuries, or neurosurgery, if a patient is looking at back surgery Flexeril (muscle relaxers) and Vicodin (pain killers) are the main medications used to help with the pain. If he has chopped the pills up, then he's most likely NOT abusing them. The reason I say this is because he would be taking several pills WHOLE. He probably took one and realized he was really sensitive to them, so cut them up so he could take a smaller dose so he would not be so tired.

prescribed Medrol which I finished taking over a week ago. I have also been taking Vicodin and Flexeril. The Vicodin seems to be constipating me (bonus). The pain intensifies when I wake up and try to get out of bed, but it is not isolated and remains constant throughout the day. I've tried ice packs and heating pads. I haveHave had this for about 6 weeks. Just wondering if anyone can give me advice or a magic cure. I stopped boot camp two weeks ago.

Well, I have checked out this forum quite a bit. There is a lot of valuable information on here. So here I go again. I have been down the ct withdrawal route before. It is really tough this time since I was taking more mg's a day this time around. About 80-90mg of vicodin. I went about 24hrs and was about to die ( I thought) from the stomach cramps. I did taper down just a little bit over the past couple of days. I was in so much agony today I broke down and aquired 3 more tens.

What I am wondering is, has anyone used Flexeril to help them sleep at night? My husband has some, and I am just remembering how hard it was to sleep. I will have to use something to help sleep at night because I work Mon-Fri 8:00-5:00.

t sleep because of these constant muscle contractions in my legs and back. Last week the dr. gave me Flexeril, the muscle relaxer to help sleep. It works well but leaves me so groggy the next day. the last few days I have only been taking 1/2 or even 1/3 pill, it takes longer to sleep, but still works. Last night I tried without one and the muscle spasms were worse. Does anyone know if the Flexeril is actually causing these to last longer than they normally would?

Wry neck? That what Dr. said. Medrol dose pack twice. vicodin flexeril. C collar . massages and traction. Chiropractor. Cured! Now........It is starting up again? I don't want to go through all of that again. What is making my neck go WRY? A physical therapist at work said sleeping under a ceiling fan. Any thoughts?

I have been on vicodin for a nexk injury since February. I started to see a pain doctor but I keep coming up short. It's ruining my life. I have kicked a worse addiction to oxyir several years ago. I have some klonopin 0.5mg, tizanidine and flexeril. I cant keep living this way. I'm not strong enough to taper down. Does anyone have any suggestions on things I could take. Last time I used neurontin but I don't have those this time. I haven't gotten the pain yet but I can sleep.

Before I went in for my appointment I went to urgent care and they gave me an rx of flexeril and vicodin. Will that show up on my new doctors computer, or does she have to dig for that info?

I got in my car to go to work, was looking for my wallet in my car consol, and there it was, a 5/500 vicodin. I took it. Didnt do a thing for me. Still felt like **** and was so tired from not sleeping the previous 3 days. Physically, i feel fantastic. i forgot what this felt like. Still some trouble sleeping, alot of broken sleep. But nonetheless, there is sleep occuring. Wake in the morning with major cravings, but they pass as i get on with the day.

My fiance still has his vicodin from getting his tooth pulled and i have not an ounce of desire to take one. then i was involved in a car accident and was prescribed flexeril 7 days ago. the palps started 30 mins after the first pill. i just thought it was stress from the accident and "oh great, the skips are back"...until they became debilitating, and my bp dropped to 90/50, where as it is usually 115/75.i went to the dr. My big fear is epilepsy Oxy use to make me shake and bite my tongue but since i been on 200mg Lamictal it has stopped I read Flexeril may cause seizure but then I also read the opposite. Even if I am not epileptic I like to play it safe as my Doc is out, and the pharmacy worker never seems to know anything. So does Flexeril increase seizure risk or is that just for (diagnosed) epileptics? I don't want to add it to the oxy and have a attack.

So I was taking 1 vicodin and 2 ultracets in the morning, 3 ulracets in the afternoon, 1 vicodin 2 ultracets in the evening and 3 ultracets in the night! I been taking flexeril for years because of muscle pain due to Lupus and for the last 2 months have been being treated for severe indigestion as a side effect of the med Verapimil. I was wondering if the flexeril could relax the sphincter muscle that is involved in GERD? See if your doctor can write you a prescription for some Requip for restlessness, Neurontin is a great help for anxiety and malaise, some Flexeril or Soma for a few weeks for muscle spasms and maybe some Seroquel low dose for sleep. Clonidine regulates blood pressure, creepy-crawly feeling and will make withdrawals easier. Please don't start taking the opiates again as it will only throw you back into withdrawals once you stop again, or make you relapse.

Thanks - yes, I did flush them. I've tried lyrica and cymbalta and they both raised my controlled hypertension to uncontrollable, so no luck there. I take klonopin & flexeril for sleep and they work fine. I just started about a week ago on effexor, I know it won't help with the pain, but hopefully it will help with my attitude. I stretch and swim which helps with the stiffness, it's just the pain in my joints is horrific at times as you know and it hurts to just barely move.

I used flexeril for back pain, and to be honest it did nothing...The doctor told me it was going to make me sleepy and it did not...It is a muscle relaxent... I ws on the 10mg dose.... So then he switched me to zanaflex, and i can only take it at nite because it makes me knock out....I don't take it all the time, only when my back is hurting as i think that one can be addicting i am sure others will give you their experience on it!

I've had bad lower back, tailbone, and pelvic pain. My doctor prescribed flexiril and pain meds. I take them as needed, I usually take half of a muscle relaxer though cause they make me so sleepy!

I am assuming that your family doctor has x-rays. You need to see a physical therapist and strengthen your inner core. There is nothing the doctors can do to fix the problem. The operation is far from perfect and usually results in more pain. The muscle relaxants do help some people, but can't help people with severe problems. You do need to see a neurologist and get an MRI. They will work with you, even if you don't have insurance.
