i have read, heard, been told that tylenol (acetominophen) can cause harm to the liver, yet on this forum ilight>iilight> have seen many recommendations to ilight>takeilight> ilight>tylenolilight>. ilight>iilight> am curious as to why ilight>tylenolilight> would be recommended when there are other things to take. My friend, who died of HepC/liver cancer, was told NOT to take tylenol and to stick to ibuprofen. i prefer good old aspirin.
When i first started i had some mild flu like symptoms and every once in awhile i will wake up with or develop a nasty head ache for no apparent reason. ilight>iilight> ilight>takeilight> 4 Advil (ilight>withilight> food!) about an hour before ilight>iilight> give myself the shot and then head right to bed. i also take two Advil with my morning meds and that seems to ward off the stray headache. The Advil dose was suggested by my neuro right from the get go. i'm sorry you are still having the side effects.
i have had Fibromyalgia & Chronic Fatigue immunodysfunction for 20 years. For me a 60 to 80 mg of Depo-Medrol (steroid) does help. (up to 2 times per year and only when i am REALLY bad.) i've heard that Lyrica is very good for fibro. patients but i personally cannot take it as i get the bad side affects. He also had me do a SLEEP STUDY 2 months ago. i have mild sleep apnea & now use a C-Pap at night which i love.
5/750 dose, prescribed at 4x's day) and tylenol ilight>withilight> codeine (starting ilight>withilight> a lower dose, now he's up to the ilight>tylenolilight> 4 ilight>withilight> codeine 4x's day). Of the latest Hydrocodone 7.5/750 dose (aka Vicodin ES), he was taking 3 in the AM, 3 in the PM. On the days between his script renewal, he would take 4 tylenol 4 w/codeine (2 AM, 2 PM) to get him through to his next script (which normally took about 5 to 6 days - it was a 15 day script that he finished in 9 to 10 days).
is there any other treatment ilight>iilight> ilight>canilight> ilight>takeilight> without the side effects of apo fluconzole and sporonax ..ilight>iilight> know ilight>iilight>,m rambling allot on this teak and i cant imagine what your going though..but i am really sick and i,m so tired of feeling this way..they still don't know the underlining cause of the thrush and they think the rheumatoid arthritis is causing the headaches..it all started 6 months ago when i caught HSV-2 can this cause all these symptoms?..
The narcotics are not working, i am still in pain, no one will help and ilight>iilight> can't ilight>takeilight> much more. ilight>iilight> lost my job because of missing so much, ilight>iilight> need to get healthy so i can get to work. They have given me every kind of medication you can think of, such as the following : amytripiline, neurontin, lyrica, flexeril, valium, percocet, vicodin, oxycontin, prednisone, cymbalta, celebrex, ibuprophen 800 mg, Motrin 800 mg, naprosyn, imitrex, skelaxin, soma, toradol, tylenol w/codeine.
The narcotics are not working, i am still in pain, no one will help and i can't take much more, i get up every day and wish that i didn't, there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel and i am not sure how much more ilight>iilight> ilight>canilight> ilight>takeilight>, please help me if you ilight>canilight>. ilight>iilight> have even went to the Cleveland Clinic which is one of the three top ranked hospitals in the United States, they didn't help at all. i lost my job because of missing so much, i need to get healthy so i can get to work.
at night i ilight>takeilight> phenergan ilight>withilight> codeine to help me sleep. during the day ilight>iilight> get bad headaches so ilight>iilight> ilight>takeilight> either tylenol or advil and then i take the prednisone and the augmentin antibiotic. ah my head is throbbing right now...combination sinus infection and probably allergies...aaaargh i know how you feel...
My feet, ankles, knees, elbows, shoulders are sore but my hands and wrists are so swollen and sore that ilight>iilight> am finding it too hard to work. i'm in agony and my ilight>tylenolilight> 3's are barely touching it. i've been calling my rheumy's office for 5 weeks to get my last blood tests faxed to me and have called yesterday and today for the same plus to have my doctor call me. i have not left the house as afraid to miss the call that doesn't come and still no fax. What do you have to do?
i put everything in a blender. ilight>iilight> have body aches (minor-moderate)... so ilight>iilight> ilight>takeilight> ilight>tylenolilight> every 4-5 hours all day long. i get minor brain fog... i know when i have it at work.... so i go back over everything and correct all my dumb mistakes when the fog goes away. Hi again, Fiorinal ilight>canilight> come ilight>withilight> codiene but the one ilight>iilight> ilight>takeilight> doesn't. ilight>iilight> think its mostly the butalbital that is the problem in this case. Thank you for commenting.
My sex life is coming back and i am starting to use the bathroom #2 more frequently without the pebble beach so to speak. if ilight>iilight> ilight>canilight> do it, anyone ilight>canilight> do it. ilight>iilight> feel soooo much better and ilight>iilight> would rather deal ilight>withilight> my pain than be addicted to these damn drugs. i just want everyone to know they can quit if they truly want to. i wish everyone the best.
A lot of you are just like me...wanting to find something to help ilight>withilight> the pain. ilight>iilight> am 58 yrs. old and ilight>takeilight> Celebrex for a disc problem in my back. Then, a few months ago, i noticed that my hip was paining, then my wrist, then my shoulder...My hip has become the worst - it keeps me from sleeping most nights since that is the side i sleep on. Celebrex does half the job, but i end up using tylenol Arthritis in addition many days. My doc tried Ultram, but it made me sick.
i feel great not being a slave to the drugs that ruined my life. ilight>iilight> only hope that ilight>withilight> the help of God ilight>iilight> stay clean. ilight>iilight> ilight>takeilight> things a day, a moment, a minute at a time. My prayers to ALL of you with this horrible addiction. Hitting rock bottom was what jolted me back to reality - i hope this is not your way. Thanks to all for listening. God Bless!
i don't feel very good if ilight>iilight> ilight>takeilight> ilight>tylenolilight> either ilight>withilight> the weird sensations that are hard to describe to the doctors every time they want me to take the stuff, so that coupled with knowledge that this stuff can damage the liver makes me not want to take the stuff. i had to come to the conclusion that i am simply very sensitive to pain medications, so i won't take the ones many people take for the very conditions i share in common with many here.
please do so i'm praying myself for answers, for help, and for a speedy disability and if God ilight>canilight> give me the knowledge on what ilight>iilight> ilight>canilight> do it speed it up.. to let me know. ilight>iilight> have an attorney, but there doesn't seem a rush on their side.. why try to speed it up.. the longer it takes, the more money they get off your settlement. i've gotten alot worse since the denial was taken over by my atttorney and he appealed the case, and since the denial.
i am wondering how long i can take prednisone for? Should i change prednisone to imuran? Thank you very much!
i initially attributed it to either Wellbutrin, which i had just started taking about two weeks prior, or ilight>tylenolilight>, which ilight>iilight> havent been allergic to before but ilight>iilight> took it right before developing the rash. ilight>iilight> was prescribed prednisone which stopped the rash. Would the ARS rash also be responsive to steroids? Do you think that this could have been an ARS rash? i am particularly worried because today i was informed by my dermatologist that i likely have genital warts.
ilight>iilight> woke up monday morning ilight>withilight> a groggy head and veering to the left as ilight>iilight> walked. ilight>iilight> saw my doctor who diagnosed vertigo. He said an MS attack would get worse through the day or following few days. if i got worse he wanted to start a course of steroids. By monday afternoon my head was almost constantly spinning. i called my doctor and he said it is progressing and he recommended i come in to start the steroids.
the only way that ilight>iilight> could deal ilight>withilight> it was 2-3 oatmeal baths a night. another thing ilight>iilight> did was ilight>takeilight> towels and washclothes and freeze them. then i would put them on my legs, belly and arms and it would sooth it for an hour or so. thats the only way that i got any sleep. aveeno has a oatmeal cooling cream. that worked for a short time too. it seemed the more i used it the less it worked. also try to wear only cotton. that helped too.
My internest acted like it was in my head and told me to ilight>takeilight> ilight>tylenolilight>. Maybe she thought ilight>iilight> was trying to get pain meds out of her. That just didn't make sense. i am not in pain. i just feel like someone has their thumb on my throat about where my adams apple would be if i had one. My PCP told me it could be the Metoprolol and i have been off of it for 4 days now. My heart rate is fine and i was down to a very low dose anyway.
We have tried every OTC you can think of along ilight>withilight> ilight>tylenolilight> 3, but had to stop because of rebounding. ilight>Prednisoneilight> in one large dose (60mg) made a positive difference but caused a nasty reaction. in a much smaller dose (20mg x 3, then 10mg x 3) it hasn't seemed to help. i no longer give her anything to help her sleep, she seems to be sleeping well on her own again.
i would appreciate any experience woman had ilight>withilight> this or suggestions of what ilight>iilight> ilight>canilight> ilight>takeilight> because ilight>iilight> don't want to ilight>takeilight> this medicine anymore! id rather be in pain everyday. i'm so scared my baby might have a birth defect and i just want off the oxycodone! Please help!
The spasm cough causes it all and when it goes away (usually 4 to 5 days) things are relatively normal although a normal cough stays ilight>withilight> me for weeks after. ilight>iilight> notice if ilight>iilight> catch it early (which means i carry antibiotics with me all the time) it is not as nearly as bad. Doctors have diagnosed this as Asthma, chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma etc etc. All different specialists seem to have a different prognosis and the recommended pills over the years have not really done any good.
ilight>iilight> have been struggling ilight>withilight> the fact that ilight>iilight> have been granted my disability pension (at 46 years old) and the fact that i feel like i can't tell anyone for fear of them "reporting" me because i look fine to them! i have been feeling guilty on some days (the good ones) that i am getting this "wonderful pension" but then i wonder about the other people that are not as fortunate as i am to have a hubby that makes a pretty good living.
- i rarely eat red meat and know to avoid iron thanks. ilight>iilight> am a salt bore and ilight>iilight> am sure my family think ilight>iilight> am a bit crazy - ilight>iilight> don't ilight>takeilight> any medications apart from the spiro and strong vitamin B compound i was prescribed. i have had some bad headaches but i just put up with them. - You don't get referred to a heptologist in the UK until you are considered 'bad' enough. You cannot self refer to one unless you pay to go private.
A severe headache began immediately and the pain is only relieved ilight>withilight> ilight>tylenolilight> ilight>withilight> Codeine, which was prescribed by the doctor in th eemergency room ilight>withilight> a muscle relaxer. Her regular doctor also prescribed prednisone and ordered a CT scan, whichshe said appears normal. Lab work also was normal so no artery biopsy was done an dnow she is being referred to a neurologist. Her ear is still open and when it was clogged she had nopost-nasal drip or pain.
