I've have dry flaky skin under my beard and eyebrows pretty much all the the time. I apply moisterizer after my showers and in the mornings before work...to no effect. It doesnt itch or burn...just flaky and embarrasing because i look like i've been eating glazed donuts or soemthing. I drink plenty of water daily and i take multivitamins as well. not sure why i mention that but if that informations helps. Is there any suggestions as to what i can to do solve this problem?
Soon after, I started noticing this bumps spreading to my other arm and chest area as well as to my beard and scalp. The bumps are small in size, round (red/pink with white center) and look like a small blister under the skin, After a few days, they increase in size and begin to raise out feeling hard and waxy. If broken, they produce a sticky clear-yellowish substance that dries hard and waxy again, but does not seem to wash off.
Hi, Ingrown hair is a condition where the hair curls back or grows sideways into the skin. It may or may not be accompanied by an infection of the hair follicle (folliculitis) or "razor bumps" (Pseudofolliculitis barbae). Anything which causes the hair to be broken off short with a sharp tip can cause ingrown hair. Shaving is the leading cause. The embedded hair causes a localized inflammation (sometimes painful) response in the skin.
This has been a nightmare for me for years - and at times left my face a warzone and me not wanting to face the world. I'm not in a job where I can grow a beard. I really don't want to pick (i.e I'm not obsessive), but I know that if I leave them they only get worse.
I'm only 15 years old and i have tried everything under the sun about shaving bumps i have them everywhere i shave and i mean everywhere it is sooo annoying i cant ever wear shorts i get them so bad i think its more like a rash but it only happens when i shave! I thought they were ingrown hairs from shaving the area, but haven't noticed any small hairs under the skin of the bump. I use a high quality beard trimmer to trim the area, not using a bare razor. The bumps sometimes get a tiny scab on it as well. Also, I recently have noticed a red bump on the rim of the tip of my penis. It has a small scab on it. I have not noticed any bumps on my shaft. What could these red bumps be?
I am desperate and have dealt with this my whole life. I have itchy bumps on my entire arm/shoulder area which leave horrible scars. I am unable to wear short sleeve shirts most of the time. The bumps will start out as red welts, which turn into tiny, tiny white heads. These things itch uncontrollably! Sometimes they fill up with with the pimple like puss. If I squeeze them I get some relief. Dermatologists state this condition is eczema, I do not believe it because A.
How do you treat or prevent the bumps and dark discoloration in the beard/under chin area from shaving (typically found in African-American men).
I keep getting these small bumps that can only be felt by my tongue. They are under my tongue in the corners at the base of the gums and on the inside of my "Lower" lip. The worry is that it is some sort of cancer. I was a closet smoker (one pack a week or less) over the years, on and off, and occasionally burned a little reefer. If I put some rubbing alcohol on in it go away like magic but the skin feels a little puckered afterwords, that doesn't bother me.
Doc, I have had these small white bumps that look like white heads on my neck for a couple months, i thought they were white heads, but they dont go away, people have said they are ingrown hairs but everything iv tried for that hasnt worked. They came after shaving one time, they are in a small patch under my chin, they wont pop and they arekind of hard. Any help pleeease?
No diet change but I noticed that the town water changed .
Whenever I place a hot towel (with hot water) on the area concerned, it itches and relieves it temporarily. I cannot see any visible spots under the beard but sometimes after I shave, it leaves a trail of bumps (not red or white), within the skin. Please help as I have had this problem for years. I use anti-septic soap to wash my face once-a-day and shampoo once every-few days.
They are not bumps. If I rub the area w/ a towel they do not rub off at all. I tried to remove one with tweezers, and it was very tacky (as in sticky) and clearly goes deep under the skin. Part of it broke off but I could still see that the pore was plugged and a day or two later top of the plug was sticking out again. i can't find ANYTHING online that looks like it.
Please note – I am very hygienic but for the purposes of showing the problem in my beard, did not wash the beard for 2 days. http://www.imagebam.com/image/40e38c217620 http://www.imagebam.com/image/d10b6a217621 http://www.imagebam.com/image/1a794f217622 http://www.imagebam.com/image/21c81e217623 http://www.imagebam.
Every once in awhile I get a large knot under the skin (usually on my face but sometimes on my neck). I shave often but notice that I get them sometimes in my beard, when I grow it out). They become larger and more sensitive after a couple of days. The skin around the area becomes smooth with no hair pretruding out. The area turns red and a large (marble sized) free-moving bump can be visible seen.
i travled africa and south america and after coming back i noticed little bumps of clear liquid that formed a circular pattern if youthink of connecting the dots. that was about 5 years ago. they have been on my left foot popping up and going away but sometimes random and not in a pattern. now after all this time it started on my rt palm. little bumps forming a connect the dot ring. it is now peeling my skin away from my palm so bad at times it bleeds.
Hope all is well with everyone. When I shave the little bumps on my face gets really ichey, I do put the gold bond on but it doesn't help much. I see iceboy , spacecoast4, mauka and others are still not posting. I hope they are alright? The last we heard iceboy's HGB was between 4.8- 5.2 and that's not good as we all know. Hope all have a great day.
I also had two small patches on my left palm which had bumps on it and when i press on it i can see red spots under the skin this started at about 6 weeks and no longer has bumps on it but still red patched s, these red patches kept peeling over and over at first, i work as a welder and is wondering if maybe the sweat, dirt and friction of my colar could have started the rash, also a little before i got the rash while shaving my beard i noticed the shaving cream was black when i would shave fro
Often it doesn't go any further because once they see me in person and see my beard the calls stop or if they continue its far and few between and they only want me to fill their sexual needs. For a long time I took it as this is how it is going to be and this is what I am worth, so I've had cuddy buddies/late night creeps. Now I am 28 and want different.
The general rule is to shave in the direction of the beard growth. Usually the beard grows downward toward your neck and upwards from the base of your neck. Either shave in the shower or use a warm towel to help soften the beard. Starting with a clean face is paramount to getting a close shave. Apply glycolic facial cleanser or algae facial cleanser to an already warm damp skin. Always use warm water as it helps soften the beard and prepares the skin for shaving.
For the last couple of years I have had a problem which has caused me great discomfort. Whenever I grow a beard, my skin around my beard (in the SAME certain areas) are sore and itchy. Whenever I apply a HOT towel to those areas, the feel of relief is tremendous, but also causes excess itchiness (especially in hot climates).. Whenever I shave, the area on my skin is mainly clear with a few red spots on both cheeks (similar to red bumps and without whiteheads).
And now I can't help but ruminate on how if only the grain under my jaw were north-south, I could have a reliable and decent and non skin ripping shave instead of bumps and visible hairs under my jaw. So, my question is, is it possible, in anyone's case / age / area of the face, to affect the direction of facial hair "grain" over time by shaving in a certain direction, either with a blade or an electric shaver?
Doctor, What can i do about the facial hair under my neck (beard).
I didn't notice any bumps though. Anyway, about a week and a half ago I noticed red bumps along both my inner thighs. I do didn't notice any bumps prior to then (doesn't mean that they weren't there though). I got anxious and scheduled the whole range of tests, which I took at planned parenthood on tuesday. Sunday-Monday my scrotum started getting red and burning, itching and feeling kinda sweaty. So, on Tuesday I'm super nervous I have herpes 2 and go to my appt.
Hi, I shave my head with an electric razor and have been getting small red bumps under the hair for sometime now. There are usually about 10 to 15 small ones on my scalp and occassionally on my beard line. It is overly noticable at the moment. I went to the doctors and he prescribed me Doxyhexal 50mg ( one a day ) and an antibacterial antifungal otic ointment with Neomycin and Bacitrac. He assured me this would cure my problem. I guess the reason I'm posting is to get a second opinion.
On the other hand, miliaria or sweat rash presents with small and sometimes itchy rashes that occur at the face, neck, under the breasts and under the scrotum. Miliaria is a common ailment in hot and humid conditions. And usually resolve. Try to avoid activities that induce sweating and avoid hot and humid weather. Topical antibacterials or antibacterial soaps may also help. If it persists, have this evaluated further for proper management. Direct clinical examination is essential.
I still need to shave everyday or I could let my beard grow but I do not want big warts all over my face under my beard. Most people say they go away on their own but how long will it take? Will I pass these on to my girlfriend when we kiss or cuddle. I feel terrible. I did not try any over the counter therapy because they are on my neck and face. Figured I better wait until the dermatologist sees me. Any help would be so appreciated.
For the past year randomly the areas around my nose and close to my mouth and spread out through some of my beard i get these bumps and redness.
I am a 28 year old male who has been struggling with infected facial hairs and hairs that grow under the surface of the skin for over 5 years. Many times there will be this waxy buildup around the follicle and then the skin is red around it. They will only heal once the follicle and waxy buildup are removed as I have left them in for over a month and they do not heal on their own but rather get worse if not removed.
