Then I just got a 2nd opinion and this dr said to quit Atenolol,Isosobide and Ranexa and start Azor and Bystolic and he wants me to have a Cardiolite stress test. I really do not see an improvement with Azor and Bystolic-I think I have just as much angina maybe more on these 2 drugs. My question is what will stress test show that the heart cath didn't show?

I an 51 years old I visited about 3 neurologists in my lifetime since i was about 10 years old. the last neurologist put me on epilim and azor .5mg - it seem to keep the dizzyness away. if i became dizzy, I was down for quite a few heavy sleeping hours. as soon as i woke up, it was gone. I could never play netball in school, or go dancing with flashing lights etc. since about a year ago, i started having other symptoms as well.

I recently stopped the flecainide and have had no significant a-fib that I can discern, although some skipped beats. I do continue to take bystolic and azor for high blood pressure. However, since discontinuing the flecanide, I have had what I would describe as a pounding heartbeat (not rapid), dizziness, and consistent blood pressure readings of 140s/50s.

I stopped Azor 5/20 mg about one month ago, still having side effects. Has anyone stopped bp pills and had side effects lasting this long. I was on the drug for two years. Stopped because I started getting side effects that I first got when I started the pill.

CT scan shows no pancreas abnmormality. EGD just yesterday shows no ulcers.He has just taken me off the nexum, lipitor and azor. No ETOH, no NSAIDS etc. Every time I eat I have this pain. It is driving me crazy. I had been taking ibuprofin for the pain.

Im a RVR now with my current TX with the boceprevir trial for slow responders,they say that in previous trials if you were naive as opposed to a slow responder before starting the boceprecvir trials,your odds of SVR were greater in the navie arms....my question is: Me, being a RVR,even tho im in the slow responder trial,will i still be in the 82%-85% SVR @ WK like the naive arms....is being RVR...

Has anyone here hadan RAI for hyperthy? Can you tell me a little bit about what to expect. I'm very nervous about this because of what happens when the gland begins to die and starts dumping hormones in the blood stream. I read it can cause a storm and with my heart problems and high blood pressure, I'm terrified! Does anyone know if being on high does of beta blocker will help this. I'm currently on 400 mg of PTU per day, 200 mg of atenolol, and Azor for BP as well.

I never had a problem until I had my first baby and a week later my bp was 161/110 2nd baby after a week shot up to 191/110. Took forever to go down and was finally put on Azor 5/40 plus a water pill. I went off because my bp was normal after a year or 2, then one night I had a heavy chest, I took my bp and it was 180/108. What concerns me is my diastolic stays high, in the morning my bp can go down to 120/90, the disatolic remains high. or I get readings of 150/99 to 117/91.

I am concerned. I take Azor for high blood pressure, I also have been exposed to TB (1987 took INH and B6 six months) I also have lactose intolerance, I take enzyme for. Should I take this medicine? My blood pressure is controlled with the medication. If I take the digestive enzyme could that eleviate the problem of lactose intolerant? I don't know what to do.

If the need to consider a trial is partly due to finances or insurance coverage you might take a closer look at the trial. Depending on how the arms of the trial are constructed you might have a high probability of getting the trial drug (TVR). Another interest piquer might be whether if ALL arms get riba and peg in their full doses. If both peg and riba are included then the only wild card would be the TVR placebo or not.

Did your CPAP machine come with a smart card that tracks your sleep data? If so, you can bring the card to the sleep doctor or to your home care provider and they can read the data. This may show that you need a different pressure or even another sleep study. I brought the card in and they were astonished at how many apneas I was still having. phase 2 trial resuts again from the Janis site and it says the non responders(im a slow responder,i relapsed at 4 weeks EOT) in that trial did not do well on the triple therapy.They only did 24 weeks(this trial im in now i did 36 weeks)so this is a nother plus for me with the BOC ,that kinda chops my odds down a tad,but i do have the trump card of UD at week 2 after taking the BOC,other factors im my demise will be i am slighty over weight,high VL.

Do insurance companies such as Anthem typically pay for the drugs to treat hep c when you have severe fibrosis? My doctors seem to be leaning toward me getting in a trial study. I get the feeling its because they know at stage 3-4 my cure rate is less which makes me think the insurance co. influences their decisions.

If you have any indication this could be an issue, maybe you could ask what the cost would be to do a home trial for a couple weeks on an auto titrating cpap machine. It would at least determine if you are having obstructive apneas when you sleep, even though a sleep study would be much more informative and give you a fuller picture of your sleep issues.

Try contacting the drug manufacturer for A discount card or coupons. Maybe you can even get a free trial. Can your old psychiatrist give you samPles till you can find out how to get your meds. on dec19,i got some pain medicine for abdomen pain,today dec 30th i got another pain medicine because the pain was alot stronger and more sever than before,can i use my insurance card to get the 12 tablets i got from the ER.

I'm sure many of you have followed my journey through the clinical trial of TDF vs TAF since 2014. That journey ended at September 2021 as I was actually the very last patient to complete the trial (and one of the first few that started it). Once that was completed, I had to go through my insurance to receive TAF - Vemlidy for 1 full year. The cost wasn't bad since insurance covered it. Unfortunately, my insurance no longer covered the medication starting July 1st, 2022.
