Avatar n tn Then I just got a 2nd opinion and this dr said to quit Atenolol,Isosobide and Ranexa and start Azor and Bystolic and he wants me to have a Cardiolite stress test. I really do not see an improvement with Azor and Bystolic-I think I have just as much angina maybe more on these 2 drugs. My question is what will stress test show that the heart cath didn't show?
3136355 tn?1343287969 I an 51 years old I visited about 3 neurologists in my lifetime since i was about 10 years old. the last neurologist put me on epilim and azor .5mg - it seem to keep the dizzyness away. if i became dizzy, I was down for quite a few heavy sleeping hours. as soon as i woke up, it was gone. I could never play netball in school, or go dancing with flashing lights etc. since about a year ago, i started having other symptoms as well.
Avatar n tn I recently stopped the flecainide and have had no significant a-fib that I can discern, although some skipped beats. I do continue to take bystolic and azor for high blood pressure. However, since discontinuing the flecanide, I have had what I would describe as a pounding heartbeat (not rapid), dizziness, and consistent blood pressure readings of 140s/50s.
Avatar f tn I stopped Azor 5/20 mg about one month ago, still having side effects. Has anyone stopped bp pills and had side effects lasting this long. I was on the drug for two years. Stopped because I started getting side effects that I first got when I started the pill.
Avatar f tn CT scan shows no pancreas abnmormality. EGD just yesterday shows no ulcers. He has just taken me off the nexum, lipitor and azor. No ETOH, no NSAIDS etc. Every time I eat I have this pain. It is driving me crazy. I had been taking ibuprofin for the pain.
486822 tn?1208800499 Has anyone here hadan RAI for hyperthy? Can you tell me a little bit about what to expect. I'm very nervous about this because of what happens when the gland begins to die and starts dumping hormones in the blood stream. I read it can cause a storm and with my heart problems and high blood pressure, I'm terrified! Does anyone know if being on high does of beta blocker will help this. I'm currently on 400 mg of PTU per day, 200 mg of atenolol, and Azor for BP as well.
1090984 tn?1463769850 I never had a problem until I had my first baby and a week later my bp was 161/110 2nd baby after a week shot up to 191/110. Took forever to go down and was finally put on Azor 5/40 plus a water pill. I went off because my bp was normal after a year or 2, then one night I had a heavy chest, I took my bp and it was 180/108. What concerns me is my diastolic stays high, in the morning my bp can go down to 120/90, the disatolic remains high. or I get readings of 150/99 to 117/91.
Avatar n tn I am concerned. I take Azor for high blood pressure, I also have been exposed to TB (1987 took INH and B6 six months) I also have lactose intolerance, I take enzyme for. Should I take this medicine? My blood pressure is controlled with the medication. If I take the digestive enzyme could that eleviate the problem of lactose intolerant? I don't know what to do.
Avatar f tn how can i get records from a mental hospital my boyfriend was in that has since shut down
359574 tn?1328360424 I want to work in medical records when I grow up. They are never there, and apparantly, they don't ever have to answer the phone or return voice mails. I called my PCP's office to get copies of the few things that have been done since she first sent me to the neuro. They have a good excuse. Their calls were being routed straight to voice mail, and I filled out a form and got the job going. I'm lucky, her office is 2 blocks from my house.
Avatar f tn Two weeks ago I filled out a form at my pcp's office to have my entire set of records. I used to go to a Woman's center before I went to this pcp, and I'd had my records transferred over to the pcp. So I figured my entire life history would be available to me. I could use all of this to spread out on my kitchen table and see my medical history unfold before me. No. I got all my lab reports, MRI's, CT scans, but not the entire enchilada.
Avatar f tn Are my medical records private? Will my employer find out if I have been exposed to HSV? This should be the least of my concerns at this point, but I work in a small office and I am terrified that they will find out.
Avatar f tn Has anyone ever paid for the medical records and sent it to the new office and not get approved by them?
Avatar f tn However, I’d like to share something…in the past we have always stressed the importance of having your own medical records, and I would like to stress that with everyone again. Last week I traveled to the state where I once lived, where I believe my medical problems began. My current immunologist was hoping to connect my current condition to a virus I had years ago. The medical records I obtained from my old HMO include EVERYTHING.
1137779 tn?1281542505 First of all they tried to tell me that they routinely scrapped all records older than 7 years (yet this was well within that time), so they had probably 'routinely' scrapped my scan. All things considered, chronic runarounds included, this seems to be extremely suspicious. What would you folks think? samxx PS £3billion is the yearly budget for the health service's defending-the-indefensible department.
Avatar f tn I passed out at Walmart 30 minutes after leaving my pain management doctor who had just refilled my pump. I now get my hospital records and they have it looking like I was an alcoholic druggie!!! I do not drink!!! They claim there was alcohol in my blood but not much. They also said I overdosed on fentenyl. No mention of pain pump implant possibly malfunctioning. Is there anything I can do? I do not want this on record because anywhere you go they ask if you have been hospitalized.
646318 tn?1261181494 I always hear people on the forum tracing back their medical records... How do i go about doing that?? Do i actually go to every doctor i've been to since i was born?? which is pretty impossible..or is their a better easier way of doing this??? and is their a way to trace back records from my father who has been deceased for over 15 years?? maybe this should be on the social forum, so sorry if this is on the wrong forum...
1858011 tn?1319837353 When you ask your doctors or hospital for your records how do you really know if they are giving you all of your records? And what if they have a problem giving your records to you? Tks misty.
Avatar f tn so I posted that I had switched doctors and it will have been 3 wks since my appt with the new doc and they still have not received my medical records from the old doctor so I can register at the new hospital I plan to deliver at has anyone else had this problem it may seem small but its really frustrating me especially since I have history of preterm labor...
572651 tn?1530999357 I didn't want to post this at the end of the medical records discussion that is going on for fear it might be overlooked. If you don't have a PHR you may want to look at this site that gives you lots of options, including free online sites that you can use to store your information .... http://www.myphr.com/what/what_is_a_health_record.asp What is a Personal Health Record?
Avatar n tn my parents) access to my medical records. There are some medical procedures/office visits that I have done that I do not want my doctor or the hospital to share with my parents but there are some that I don't mind my doctor/hospital share with them. Can I do this? Can I ask the hospital to restrict disclosures of only some of my medical records? Can I do this ahead of time, before I go to the hospital with my parents?
Avatar n tn i know a friend told me much the same...that these records were available for a minor and indeed myself on request. My son is 14 so Im then Im permitted. Parhaps its just the practice Im.in .as its always been a real battle to get my sons results or indeed mine.I guess I was looking for the go-ahead to be positively assertive!!!If a consultant sends a letter to your Dr. re a consultation (or a Dr to a consultant).some will send you a copy and others will not.
186737 tn?1269884660 I have had to collect up all of my medical records for an LTD claim. In doing so, I have found that about 50% of the info on my records is completely made up. What I mean by this is that I ahve gone to doctors and they ahve done a couple of quick exam tests in the appointment but then in their record of what was done, they list a ton of things that maybe they dreamt they had done, but they really had not done.
Avatar m tn Many records, after a period, are put into storage. If the files are destroyed (and you're not given the option of keeping them and the data hasn't been saved on computer) then you can't retrieve them. Have you asked the medical records department at your local hospital?
