Then I just got a 2nd opinion and this dr said to quit Atenolol,Isosobide and Ranexa and start Azor and Bystolic and he wants me to have a Cardiolite stress test. I really do not see an improvement with Azor and Bystolic-I think I have just as much angina maybe more on these 2 drugs. My question is what will stress test show that the heart cath didn't show?
I recently stopped the flecainide and have had no significant a-fib that I can discern, although some skipped beats. I do continue to take bystolic and azor for high blood pressure. However, since discontinuing the flecanide, I have had what I would describe as a pounding heartbeat (not rapid), dizziness, and consistent blood pressure readings of 140s/50s.
I stopped Azor 5/20 mg about one month ago, still having side effects. Has anyone stopped bp pills
and had side effects lasting this long. I was on the drug for two years. Stopped because I started getting
side effects that I first got when I started the pill.
CT scan shows no pancreas abnmormality. EGD just yesterday shows no ulcers.He has just taken me off the nexum, lipitor and azor. No ETOH, no NSAIDS etc. Every time I eat I have this pain. It is driving me crazy. I had been taking ibuprofin for the pain.
I am concerned. I take Azor for high blood pressure, I also have been exposed to TB (1987 took INH and B6 six months) I also have lactose intolerance, I take enzyme for. Should I take this medicine? My blood pressure is controlled with the medication. If I take the digestive enzyme could that eleviate the problem of lactose intolerant? I don't know what to do.

Yea, they do use them interchangeably. I used to work on the oncology floor of OSF. While I was there I learned to fear the "--oma" at the end of a word. I showed my doc a red mole thing on my boob. She said it was a capillary angioma. I was scared, until she explained it only meant a red mole.
Then when I had my gp look at it he said it was nothing to worry about and that it was something that I forget the name of I just know it ended in oma. He said it was like a scarring. But it has always remained a bump that looks and feels callous like and also it does not bleed much. it does not dimple either but there usually looks like their is a darker spot in the middle. It was a great help for my parents and oma when they went with me as they were able to find out how to help, what they were doing that was hindering my progress and therefore they needed to stop, and were able to understand the illness a lot better. I don't know what can be added to what the doctor has said. You have serious symptoms, and you should get some clarification and proper treatment. It may be a good idea to see another doctor. A word that ends with "oma" indicates a turmor...but that appears to be ruled out! I don't know nor can I find any definition for "chromophecytoma." or related spelling of the word..
Time WILL speed up, I would definitely get a protein shake, the amino acids are really needed right now to heal you. Keep moving and stay as distracted from how you feels as possible. Hang in there, a few more days and you should feel like it's getting a little easier. The it just keeps getting better and better. You are free! That is progress, even if it feels horrible.
