i would also check to see what the savings are compared to your local dentists for a similar product. sometimes the savings are not as much as they claim. my friend went to aspen which advertises inexpensive dentures and after 3 months and $1800 she still is waiting. the top plate started to fall apart and the bottom is still "at the lab". many times you get what you pay for.
ve relocated, I have visited another dentist (Aspen Dental) and was informed that I need not one but FOUR front crowns. I am petrified. I read horrible reviews and stories about this company's ineptitude, etc... I only have the one filling that fell out. There isn't anything wrong with the other two teeth. I'm very reluctant to have the crown procedure (they fall out, etc). Without seeing my xrays, do I really need all four??
My comment is then that dental schools are not much better than private practice dentists as far as payment options are concerned. I also am having payment problems. I have just had my teeth cleaned at a student clinic and have been told by the supervising dentist that I have an infected root canal. Actually two dentists gave two slightly different diagnoses. Unfortunately,the infected tooth/root serves as an abutement for a 3 unit bridge.

Thank you so much for all your help, I am going back for my deep cleaning Tues. so I will inquire more about the above, I believe they said this was a crown with a gold ring in it, if that makes sense, there was one above that I believe was solid gold & then one for $200.00 that I didn't even inquire about. This is being done @ an Aspen Dental, you might already be aware of what they use, as far as the Dentist goes, i don't know any thing, again thank you so much for all your help.
I want to know what are the risk factors involed during the dental scaling or cleaning. The equipments which are used during cleaning,are diposable (like injection needles) or not? If not, then how is it ensured that there is no chance of any kind of infaction (some bacterias or virus may survive at boiling temperature of water also).

This is a replacement crown because I had decay under the old crown. I did ask for a refund, but the office manager of the office said they could not refund my money because the crown had been paid for. I paid for it myself! They said their other dentist will take another impression of the tooth. It has been a pain dealing with them. It is not my fault they can't get it right! They always blame the lab for the mistake. I wonder though. I am going to get a new impression done next Tuesday.

because of my stomach, and hypothyroidism i am producing to much cortisol so my Dr. put me on Cortisol Manager to help sleep and help with my stomach. 3 days after taking the cortisol manager, I developed a red rash that looks and feels like a sunburn on my legs. could the cortisol manager be the problem?

Thanku friends :-). Yes I am still employed. It's just that it took me 2 yrs to finally be considered as an exemplary empoyee and then it only took ONE day of slacking and goofing off to just be right back to being on the "hit list." I am 31 years old and to have my manager sit me down and tell me I need to " grow up" is devastating to me. I have my certification as a dental asst.
