13724114 tn?1440985203 So I work in a fast food restaurant as an assitant manager...so i have to move around a lot and whatnot.... I'm an exempt employee so i get paid salary instead of hourly. My doctor took me off of a 4 day bedrest and now I'm back to work but light duty(sitting) only. Office work pretty much... Which my supervisor did offer me and agree to. My question is can they change my salary legally due to work restrictions like this?

Avatar n tn My comment is then that dental schools are not much better than private practice dentists as far as payment options are concerned. I also am having payment problems. I have just had my teeth cleaned at a student clinic and have been told by the supervising dentist that I have an infected root canal. Actually two dentists gave two slightly different diagnoses. Unfortunately, the infected tooth/root serves as an abutement for a 3 unit bridge.

Avatar n tn This is a replacement crown because I had decay under the old crown. I did ask for a refund, but the office manager of the office said they could not refund my money because the crown had been paid for. I paid for it myself! They said their other dentist will take another impression of the tooth. It has been a pain dealing with them. It is not my fault they can't get it right! They always blame the lab for the mistake. I wonder though. I am going to get a new impression done next Tuesday.
Avatar f tn This combination of medications is used to treat mild-to-moderate pain associated with conditions such as headache, dental pain, muscle pain, painful menstruation, pain following an accident, and pain following operations. The half-life of acetaminophen is 1-4 hours......in other words, approximately every 4 hours, 1/2 the dose in your body will be excreted. This process will continue until all the medication is out of your system.

Avatar f tn I'm a female, age 60. At age 36, I went to my 1st counselling appt and saw a psychiatrist, due to divorce and custody circumstances. I dx, last year, with frontal lobe and both perieatal lobes damage. Extreme stress seems to bring these problems to the forefront. Avatar f tn I am an office manager at a dental office. My job is not very strenuous, so I am going to try and work until the very end. Sometimes I have to assist the dentist when we are short handed and when I am further along I am not quite sure if I will be able to fit in the assistant chair.
Avatar f tn Thanku friends :-). Yes I am still employed. It's just that it took me 2 yrs to finally be considered as an exemplary empoyee and then it only took ONE day of slacking and goofing off to just be right back to being on the "hit list." I am 31 years old and to have my manager sit me down and tell me I need to " grow up" is devastating to me. I have my certification as a dental asst.
Avatar f tn I do not qualify for any leave at all, paid or unpaid. My manager is being gracious enough to give me 30 days off when I have my baby. If I have to have a c section, go on bed rest or something else happens where I need to take more time off than that I have to quit and then reapply for my job. I will lose all seniority I had, have to go through all the classes I took at work again. And become ineligible for any bonuses for a year after I come back.

Avatar m tn t use a mask, and it would not be unreasonable to ask him why he does not do so, or to wear one in future operations on you. However, the purpose of masking during surgery is not to protect patients from blood-borne infections like HIV. The intent is to prevent bacterial wound infections (e.g., staph, strep); and to protect the surgeon from the patient's body secretions.
1609697 tn?1301069399 Has anyone had trouble maintianing your career while suffering with Fibro/CFS? My biggest problem right now is work. While I love my full-time job, they are becoming less flexible. As you all know, Fibros need flexibility due to the unpredictable nature of the beast.
