appendicitis

Avatar m tn Hi, this could be ureter stone, right ovarian cyst or appendicitis. If pulse is more than 80 and blood shows high TLC counts, is suggestive of appendicitis. In case of ureter stone, urine usually shows infection and ultrasound is diagnostic, pain is usually radiating in nature. Well colon pain is colicky or dull in nature, do you have recent history of diarrhea?
Avatar n tn I had to go to the hospital, They said it could be kidney stones, appendicitis,or ovarian cyst. I have a history of abnormal paps and endometriosis, I am scared it is cancer. I dont have insurance if anyone can share some info I would realy appretiate it.
Avatar f tn I went to out of hours dr at night and they sent me to hosp. No sign of appendicitis. They found an ovarian cyst but not on the side that is sore. Dr said it is random pain...still have the pain tonight. Any ideas what it could be. I have no other symptoms. Should i go to gp?
Avatar m tn How can you identify ovarian cyst pain? What is the usual size of the cyst need to undergo surgery? Describe the difference between appendicitis?
Avatar n tn There are various causes of right lower quadrant abdominal pain, including but not limited to appendicitis, IBS/IBD, kidney/ureteral stone, bladder infection, and hernia, as well as female-specific conditions, such as pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis, ovarian cyst, ovarian torsion, and ectopic pregnancy. Making the correct diagnosis requires a combination of clinical history and physical examination, as well as laboratory and imaging tests.
Avatar m tn I spent 5 days in the hospital in January because of a ruptured right ovarian cyst. They thought appendicitis and found the cyst after a colonoscopy. This month my period was 3 weeks late. I recently finished it. I had my tubes tied in November. I have a history of 2 ectopic pregnancies. Never had other female problems like cysts. For the past 3 weeks I've had left lower abdominal pain and burning in the rest of my abdomen. I have no bowel problems.
Avatar n tn You might want to post this in the ovarian cyst community forum. I know of 2 women there with dermoids that will know more than myself.
Avatar n tn I posted about 5 weeks ago about my 8 cm ovarian cyst. Oct. 15th, I had symptoms of an appendicitis, and an ultrasound found the cyst instead. The cyst is on my right ovary. They think it is an endometrioma. 3 weeks ago, my ob/gyn scheduled surgery for 1/27/10, gave me strong pain meds, and said that I could have the surgery sooner, if the pain gets worse, but I want to get through the holidays.....However, I can't do anything!
Avatar m tn They performed CT scan to rule out appendicitis and discovered 4cm ovarian cyst. They did not believe this was the source of the pain though because the pain eased up but the cyst was still there. The dr did, however, think it was odd for the cyst to be present when she is due to start her period. She said cysts usually appear and/or rupture 2 weeks prior to period. Could this be the cause of abdominal pain? Is it strange that a 12 yr old would have a cyst when her period is due?
Avatar n tn Sounds like either an ovarian cyst or appendicitis. Pain making you bend over definitely is what a cyst can do. But if you start to get a lot of abdominal pain, it could also be your appendix.
Avatar n tn s), colitis, mesenteric adenitis, kidney stones, kidney infection, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cyst, ovarian torsion, ectopic pregnancy, pelvic inflammatory disease, and/or hernia.
1559675 tn?1303670064 If I had an ovarian cyst, would it cause all of that, and how easy is it to deal with?
Avatar n tn My 14 yr old daughter was seen in the ER 8 days ago and was diagnosed with a ruptured ovarian cyst. She was in alot of pain and the pain has gradually been going away until last night when she started complaining of severe pain again. The Gyn will not be in until Weds and she suggested I call back. Why would her pain be coming back?
5940389 tn?1377050117 Hi littlemissme93, I had a ruptured right ovarian cyst 19 years ago, they thought I had appendicitis as they both have the same symptoms. They cleaned up the mess that was there from the cyst as well as taking my appendix. I dont know if ovarian cysts prevent you from falling pregnant or not. I fell pregnant with my son 6 months after I had my ruptured ovarian cyst. I had never tried to fall pregnant before then.. So hope all goes well for you and are able to have children.
Avatar m tn Years ago, I had an ovarian cyst removed and they also took my appendix. Funny you mention that they always worry about the appendix...was the same for me. I had a history of cysts and pain on my right side. I remember that I had a both a general surgeon and an obgyn for my surgery and I think that is because I was having both cyst and appendix removed. My doctors are the ones who made the call to remove both though. But, it seemed like they often worked together on surgeries.
Avatar f tn As I was reading a few things came to mind, although your doctor has probably ruled them out already. One is appendicitis, being that your right side is hurting. Two, ovarian cysts can cause pain like that. Three, the red bump made me think of an STD like herpes, until I read that you're 50 y.o. I could be wrong, but you're probably past the stage of going out and gettin' your freak on with a bunch of guys, so.... That's all I got.
Avatar f tn Your CT should have shown any ovarian cyst that would be causing your symptoms. Conditions like endometriosis can cause pain as well as bladder or bowel issues. If the ER doctor said you need a MRI for what was seen on your kidney, then perhaps that is related to your pain. If something is wrong in your kidney, it could affect your bladder and cause pain. Hopefully, you will get some answers soon!
600910 tn?1219728369 Hi! Just a little info about me. I'm 25, and a mother of two. I always been really healthy, never had any medical problems. Avatar m tn Hello, Causes of such pain could be due to kidney stones, pelvic infections, urine infections, twisted ovarian cyst or rupture of ovarian cyst, appendicitis or any other referred pain due to other organ infections. Get it evaluated and an ultrasound done from a gynecologist to confirm the diagnosis. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Monkey Cause of pelvic pain could be due to kidney stones, pelvic infections, urine infections, twisted ovarian cyst or rupture of ovarian cyst, appendicitis or any other referred pain due to other organ infections. Most of them may not show up on ultrasound. So get all these causes evaluated from a gynecologist to confirm the diagnosis. Avatar f tn I am wondering if having an ovarian cyst will prevent ovulation. I've had a lot of RLQ pain the last 2 days so I am wondering if it could be because I have another cyst. I am scared that it could be another ectopic or appendicitis. I won't get my lab results until tomorrow (hcg and wbc count). I don't remember this much localized pain with the ectopic 5 yrs ago. I am CD 10.
Avatar f tn You may be able to tell if it's appendicitis. Have her push on the area that hurts in her lower right. If it hurts more. It SHOULDN'T BE appendicitis. Most of the time appendicitis will find relief with pressure and (sadly) extreme pain when pressure is released. Also, I WOULD ask for an ultrasound because that's how my first ovarian cyst rupture presented!
