In addition, within the last two years (between 6-12 months ago) I developed a recurrent anal abscess that developed into an anorectal fistula because I left it untreated, not knowing what it was and because it was painless (I went to a doctor 2 days ago on my university campus who confirmed this diagnosis). I have never had a herpes lesion or outbreak of any sort, and unfortunately I am not certain whether the abscess came before, or after the encounter.

I ha a colonoscopy 6 days ago and about 3 days after I developed a huge anorectal abscess. Im furious. And it's getting hard. And black. What the heck. Someone help me out I have no clue what's happening. And im scared to death.

The pain in the anus can be due to anal sex (causing a tear inside), fissures or due to infection. It could also be due to an abscess. Infected piles is another possibility. At times such a pain is due to compression of spinal nerves. Infection with herpes simplex virus can also be another cause. It is difficult to comment without examination. I can understand your fear and embarrassment, but prolonging going to the doctor can only make things worse. Hope this helps. Take care!

4 years ago, i had a skin abscess in my right side near the groin (as shown in the photo link below) it drained on its own but i went to a doctor and he just gave me antibiotic, after 4 years i seeked medical care because i had some concerns about the scar, the doctor recommended an ultrasound of the internal organs of the groin area and i did it and there was nothing, i feel no pain but i'm still concerned, is this really a scar? photo link: https://imgur.

On Jan. 16 I woke up with this awful pimple/abscess on my chin. I left it alone all day, and it got worse. When I came home I cleaned it. (I've posted picture of the progression on my profile/album). Since then, I still have a lump on my face that won't go away. It hasn't changed in size at all and I don't know what to do about it. Any ideas on what may be going on and/or what I can do about it? I've tried pimple cream but it didn't work. Thanks!

But it wont last for more than 2-3 days. After 2-3 days the pain and sensitiveness will go off, but the swelling will be there. Last month I had this sharp pain for like 2-3 days.. anyone had similar issues? is this a dental abscess? if so, any home remedy?

i had to get the abscess drained. they told me, there would be a chance for a fistula. any ideas?

All came back as negative but I’m concerned about the accuracy of Chlamydia and Gonorrhea by PCR tests. I gave a Urine sample (clear catch) for the test, but I’m unsure if it can detect anorectal infections. Shall I go for antibodies test for a peace of mind ?

perhaps it could be a gumboil.A gumboil is usually caused by an abscess at the root of the tooth. Often, this abscess is caused by food caught in pockets at the gumline. Also I had all the symptoms at the exact timing( complicated with an anorectal abscess which I thought was due to a suppressed immune system) so for worried wells, as many have said, the symptoms don't tell you anything and the mind and body can play tricks. In is not in my mind, I actually have a rash all over my trunk and aching lymph nodes, and my sheets on the bed are still wet from the night sweat, my tonsils are actually sore.

I have had a CT Scan and an MRI, and one came back with Chronic Diverticular Disease the other with Diverticulosis. Neither could find an abscess or any blockage in the upper part of my colon. During routine physical last fall was tested for all STD's but neither throat or anus swab, thus the concern.

I have had bowel issues since gall bladder surgery in 2008, with severe diarrhea and bouts of incontinence. Hi, I used to suffer from the same conditions 4 years before. When I consulted an anorectal surgeon, he told me that I had hemorrhoids at two or three places and needed surgery. I got surgery done and for the last 3 years I am fine.I do not have the recurrent back pain. Please consult an anorectal surgeon.

The reason for my worry is, I gary an ulcer along with 6 pinhead dots inside my mouth which was healed in a weeks time without medication followed by an ulcer in my anorectal at the end of 5th week and few skin erosion and paper cuts on my penis shaft which healed in 3 days time. All the symptoms went away in 4-5 days time without medication. Thats the reason for my worry.. please advise me, I am convinced I an infected with something but don't know what.. Please share your thought..

Hello. Good photo, I see what you mean about the middle. This looks like it could be the beginning of an abscess. Maybe from a possible spider bite or a sting from an insect...? I'm not sure though. It doesn't look like an animal bite. Someone else may have an idea. Since this has been going on a week, and is clearly painful for your girl, I would get her to the vet for an evaluation. I have an anorectal muscle spasm accompanied with a prolonged pain for about a year. The pain occurs an hour after the morning bowel movement and can lasts a whole day. Sometimes the pain becomes so strong that i hardly can move. In general the symptoms are very much similar to the proctolgia fugas symptoms but pain duration is much longer( day or days ). Can i consider this as a proctalgia fugas or it may be something else?

t have a bowel movement without taking milk of magnesium and even when I do take it I dont empty all the way. I have seen numerous doctors had a anorectal manometry test done that showed minimal ability to perform a balloon expulsion suggestive nerve damage.
