s gone bacterial you need to add an antibiotic as you have, using the both together will a huge benefit for the kittens and momma too, can't believe your Vet didn't suggest this. You can buy some thru your Vet clinic to get started with but meanwhile order it thru iherb.com where it's cheaper and more pure. Or if you have a good vitamin supply store hand where you can get one in powder form with no soy,yeast,corn, salt etc, so it's safe for cats.
my cats had kittens about 3 weeks ago and they now have their eyes open. but i have this one kitten and his/her eyes puss so much that it hardens and pervents him/her by seeing because it closes her eyes shut. i think he/she is too young to use medicine on but im not sure what to use even if i could. any advice??
Okay, so I have 2 3 week old kittens. One is quite a bit smaller. They have to be bottlefed, but for the first week and a half or so of their life they had Mom. Anyway, on Thursday one was drinking but I accidentally pushed on the bottle and some came out of it's nose. I cleaned it up and 'cleared' the lungs as much as possible. Now her breathing sounds fine, but I'm just wondering if it's possible she might have aspiration pneumonia?
did some phoning myself last week to try and find a Vet that would give a cut on fees to get a feral cat spayed, she keeps having kittens under a friends porch, the friend...bless her heart, finds homes for the kittens but the mother is too wild.
Finally the clinic I take my boys too offered to spay her for half price...$100. so I'm hoping we can scrape up the bucks to get her done, enough kittens!!!
Which I am sceptical because when I took Amoxicillin it was 1 a day pill for a week and as soon as i took it the bacteria was going away. Now I've taken Clindamycin like 5 times, because it's 1 pill ever 6 hours. There is 28 pills in total. But I don't see the bacteria fading, like the Amoxicillin.

I took azithromycin and rocephin injection as a precaution (before the swab results came back), and am currently taking Augmentin to get rid of the strep. I was feeling fine and healed until yesterday when my throat started to hurt again.

I want to treat my kittens for fleas so I got Revolution for kittens. It says I should use one tube ( 15 mg) for each kitten less than or equal to 5 pounds of weight. The thing is, one of the kittens is rather tiny, like her mother used to be.She is almost 3 months old and weighs less than 2 pounds. Other than that she is very active and healthy and eats both dry and soft food. Should I still use the whole tube of Revolution on her or should I use only half of it?
Thank you so much for your answer. Yes, I am keeping all of the kittens. In fact, my husband is selling his motorcycle so that we can afford to "fix" the kittens when it becomes time. I had a brain hemmorage and two brain surgeries (2nd one this year). I honestly believe that the Lord, having a sweet, wonderful husband, and my animals is what helped get me through these trying times.
If you've been on Amoxicillin for more than 3 days and are not starting to feel better go back to the doctor and get a different antibiotic.
I've been taking amoxicillin for chlamydia for 5 days now with no relief. It's still very painfull everytime I urinate.

I have been hand raising these 3 kittens since they were about 3 days old. They have been doing very well until about the last week (4 weeks of age now). One of the kittens had a hernia (from a dog attack), and the vet did surgery to fix it, and it seemed fine. The other two kittens in the litter picked on it; sucking it's genital area. It became so sore and red that it started bleeding; so I seperated it out.
The shelter director agreed to add an extra spay day this week just for kittens who are now getting old enough to reproduce. So I spent yesterday weighing and examining about 100 kittens in preparation for surgery. We will only be able to do about 30 of them this week, but that will still be a big improvement.
