amoxil

) which required a week of horse-pill size Augmentin (Amoxicillin). Isn't it true that there is the risk of antibiotic resistence from taking too many antibiotics over time? Do the 5 times I've mentioned above constitute a risk for Amoxicillin resistence? Is 2g twice a year enough to promote antibiotic resistence? What can be done to prevent resistence if I must take the antibiotics? Is there any way to "cure" antibiotic resistence?
I cannot tell if they are going down or not. I took him to the vet and i have him on amoxicillin but now he is throwing up, he is still eating however and drinking. He is an indoor cat and i know that they are not from fights or anything. He has been healthy his whole life, but did have a tooth removed last year. Has anyone else expierenced this with their cats? What did you do? And if he lives past this, any ideas for the future?
I need a two or three level fusion. I have chronic arm cramps like charlie horses, with numbness, tingling and sometimes lack of sensation. Actually I have a lot of cramping all over. My neck hurts quite a bit and I have been putting off the fusion because antiinflammatories help keep the pain tolerable, My latest problem is that for 2 weeks I have been smelling cigarette smoke and burning plastic. I do not smoke. I also have a polyp in my right nostril.
I have recurring diverticulitis. I have been on amoxicillin and flagel for seven days with 3 to go (usually I take leviquin) I have a very sharp pain that feels like a small hot knife deep in my right very low groin. Though my fever and overall but mostly left pain (the "a horse kicked me in the lower abdomin") were worse in this attack than usual, they are gone now. This right hot coal spot is constant and is not letting up.
she keeps getting UTI's and the doc keeps giving her Keflex which is strange, I would think if she keeps getting them with this Keflex, he should change horses...I'm taking her to another doc....if anyone has anything to add, I'd be grateful, meanwhile, thanks so mcuh for this...be well...
Hi i wonder if anyone has had a similar problem to me,a couple of weeks ago i went out for several beers with some friends(lots of booze)came home late fell asleep on the couch and woke up with the usual hangover and also a slight pain on the lymph gland,i ignored this until the next morning when the gland was the size of an egg, went to the docs had blood test which came back all clear,i had a bad cold three weeks prior to my night of alcoholic indulgence,so could it be from that,or could it be
These things are strawberries, cherries, peanuts, tabacco, horse hair, dog and cat dander, dust mites. I twice went on a regimen of allergy shots; on both occasions, I got some temporary relief that lasted a couple of weeks, but after that, the symptoms of the allergies returned at full force even while I continued taking the shots. I have also been on a regimen of Nasonex and other sorts of nasal sprays that you need a prescription for.
For the past week or so I have been battling a cold (the second cold I have had in 3 weeks). I have been taking Amoxicillin and Anti-Histamine as prescribed by my doctor. 3 nights ago I went to my gym here in Vegas and did a light work out of resistance exercises. I felt perfectly fine afterward. After the lifting I went inside the steam room for about 10-15 minutes and immediately after I went inside the Jacuzzi for about 10-15 minutes.
So I gave her some tylenol to bring the fever and down and took her to the doc the next day. At her first visit she had a slight throat irritation and was prescribed amoxicillin. Two weeks later (Mothers Day),we got home and the same symptoms occured all of a sudden shes feverish and has chills..
Southern California has had many recent cases in both humans and horses. We both feel West Nile can be an underlying problem that many people have, which simply goes undiagnosed or mis-diagnosed. Unfortunately, right now, there doesn't seem to be much that can be done to treat it. I hope you are doing better, and please consider a simple blood test for the West Nile Virus.
I guess I am a mythical patient and should start referring to myself as a unicorn. Doctors already uses the terms horses and zebras, so unicorn seems appropriate. ;) Now I am fully expecting to approach the two years of treatment mark before I am done with all this. I just hope that by the time the Babs is gone the Lyme symptoms will also be gone. Lyme s@#%s. I am no longer a Bambi lover. I think we need to do whatever it takes to drastically reduce the tick population.
Yes, I do spend a great deal of time outside, taking care of 2 horses and have 3 kids. I live in New Jersey. Weve had quite a few cases not to far from here of WEst NIle Virus. I mentioned history of Lupus, Parkinsons and Rheumatoid. I meant to write a family history! Thanks for your advice though!
another friend told us last year about Ivermecisin(sp) its heartworm med for horses and only cost about $7 at a local feed store for 1 horse dose/30+dog doses. It comes in a big dial suringe and goes by weight. They give it to their dogs and have never had a problem w/heartworms.The last heartworm med we gave (heartgaurd i believe) her had the same active ingred.(Ivermecisin) (sp)and the dose amount worked out to be exactly the same.???Have you even heard of this?Your thoughts.??
I had a throat infection during my 2nd trimester and they gave me an antibiotic (amoxicillin) and told me to take xtra strength tylenol (I had a lot of neck and back pain because of the throat thing) and the green chlorseptic spray (do not use the red). And it worked...I got over it and even felt better the day after I started taking the meds.
(smoked 43 years) I thought how great I would be healthy again, as it turned out I got some real weard side effects from quiting. First I got a real horse and raspy throat and I kept having to clear my throat. Then I got some white marks inside my cheaks that were real sore when I ate. I don't have any medical insurance so I waited till May before going to a Dr. He had no idea what it was and prescribed Amoxicillin for 10 days. Absolutely wrong! I went to another Dr.
It started after treatment for H-pylori. It was called Prev-Pak. (amoxicillin, biaxin and prevacid). 14 days of misery. I should have stopped but I was determined to get rid of the H-pylori. Prior to that I had a steroid epidural for shingles down the left sciatic nerve. Unbelievable pain. That was well over 2 years ago and although I have improved very slowly it is defenitely not gone. So I think the combo of those two treatments caused a candida imbalance.
5 mg MetoCLOPramide 10 mg Nitrofurantoin Monohydrate Macrocrystals Alprazolam 0.
) I was bitten by a lot of dog ticks, and took them off the dogs, gleefully dumping the flailing things into a can of gas. Had a few spells of unknown aches and pains and fatigue but it was passed off as growing pains or Oh you are too tired, go sleep. And sleep i did, for days at a time more than once.
I've had the hives, knots, and stiffness for the past week and have come to the conclusion that it is a Sulfa allergy. I got mine from giving my horse Trimethoprim/sulfa and might not have figured it out if my husband didn't know about his sulfa allergy already. It started with hives and puffy eyelids (presumebly from hives), and pain in my elbow I thought was from having it in the same position at work all day. I also had a half dozen huge bug bites with 1/8 pus filled tops.
I was born in Baytown, TX and due to our family building a small refinery with horse and carriages and living in shotgun homes lined up for miles, we settled. We always thought that if the hat fits wear it. Well I'm fourth generation to the small industry called ExxonMobile / Shell / BP etc. today. This is our bread and butter. Now if you could find me a job with my industrial petro chemical experience in a non mold city you let me know.
I think this it what makes you loose the weight is because the more energy you have the more you move the more you move the more calories you burn. I also buy the B Complex from the Feed Supply. This is what they use for horses highly recommended by my dr. The problem with the pills is your body doesn't absorb them. To answer the previous question you can't overdose on B12. The problem is doctors give heroine prescriptions more freely than B12 prescriptions.
They are lymph glands and everyone has them, horse's patootie.
I'm generally very healthy and, on the rare occasion that I do get an infection worthy of a trip to the doctor, I am usually given the standard antibiotics like Penicillin, Amoxicillin, Erythromycin, Zithromax, etc. Based on your description, you're almost certainly afflicted by the more serious Quinolone side-effects (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quinolone), which are known to cause actual tendon ruptures.
I repeated the application for several days and drank lots of watermelon seed tea and also corn silk teas to act as diueretics to clean out the urethral infection/inflammation. If you ride a bicycle, a horse, or do any other activity which rubs hard on that area, then it will become inflamed and cause a problem. The problem then gets worse if you eat vinegar, alcohol, commercial teas, or any other foods which will cause more irritation and inflammation. Diet is important.
