I'm 33 weeks and have bronchitis. I'm currently taking amoxicillin but need something for the cough. I checked with my doctor and he said plain robitussin. What has any one else taken or home remedies for It to stop (cough)?
I had bronchitis a couple a weeks ago and my doctor said amoxicillin and and z pack are fine when pregnant.
Hi, I was diagnosed with bronchitis three years ago. I didn't really have a bad life style but I change what I could. So I go walking most days I've given up dairy and eat lots of food that is good for respiratory such as pineapple, green leafy veggies etc. I do breathing exercise to bring up mucus. I had things under control till i was 12 wks pregnant, I got a chest infection around Sep. and still have it now. I've taken 8 lots of antibiotic's over this time.
I am currently finished with my amoxicillin dosage and hasn't seemed to change much. Basically now the cough only persists throughout the night whenever I lay down or am exposed to the cold the cough comes back.
Amoxicillin in the best sort of penicillin treatment to use during the first tri...bc its not harmful...example: for the treatment of bacterial vaginosis during pregnancy they, treat it in the first tri with amoxicillin if it were found later on like second or third tri theyd prescribe a stronger antibiotic!
He also prescribed me amoxicillin, so that I can take it on 6th day if I do not get better. When I feel sick on 1st day, I had very high fever and followed by sore throat. I had fever entire time during first three days. Now I still have fever and sore throat, but two times in the day. It goes away for 8 hours after I take 2 tynenol, 1 mucin and 2 Echinacea and 1 amoxicillin. I get fever and dry cough back and I take the medicine again for another 8 hours relief.
finally my doctor put me on amoxicillin/Clav 875mg and that helped a little. and the bronchitis seemed to have cleared. then a week later my ears begin to hurt. the pain was pretty bad. i thought it would go away on its own but after a week it seemed to be getting worse. so back to the doctor yet again. he again gave a me a shot in the but of antibiotics and then same antibiotic again amoxicillin/clav 875 mg. after a few days the pain lessened but it is still there.
Additional meds have been added to treat this, Pred Forte and Prednisone taper (uveitis), Prilosec and various other pump blockers (gastritis), 20days amoxicillin (strep) 10 weeks on amoxicillin (bronchitis), singulair and dulera for asthma. These are just symptoms added to my daily BD symptoms of joint, connective tissue inflammation, various GI symptoms, extreme fatigue, memory and coordination difficulties, night sweats, ulcers, headaches and low grade fevers.

These symptoms can be due to bronchitis or pneumonia. Symptoms of bronchitis include Cough that produces mucus, Soreness in the chest, Fatigue, Mild headache, Mild body aches, Low-grade fever, Watery eyes and Sore throat. Diagnosis is done by physical examination. Sometimes chest X-ray may be needed.
I feel that you should get yourself examined by a physician so as to reach a confirmatory diagnosis as treatment is diagnosis specific.
I have built up a tolerance to Levequin, Zithromyacin, Amoxicillin, after 9 years of COPD and now have bronchitis. Any suggestions for other potential antibiotics or other ideas?

Hello, 5 weeks ago I woke up with severe pain in my bottom right side of mouth. The gums swelled up, so I went to the dentist. There was an abcessed tooth, so the Dentist pulled the tooth. The lump on my gums stayed swollen, so the Dentist took two additional x-rays of my mouth 2 and 3 weeks later and said the other teeth were fine and he wasn't sure what to make of it. He wanted me to wait and see if the swelling resided.
I have been experiencing a crushing headache feeling like my temples are going to explode along with severe sharp acheing in between my shoulder blades. This has been effecting me going on my fourth day with no relief. My back pain wrapped around to my chest causing pain there also prompting a visit to the emergency room yesterday.Since I was having chest pains along with this crushing headache of which I have never experienced the intensity of such a headache in my 38 years.

Afterwards I washed with a wash cloth and went home and showered. I also took 250mg of amoxicillin I had from a previous case of bronchitis hoping maybe that would do something if there was an exposure.
Since then I've had loose stool that has been green / yellow and tingling throughout my penis. What are my risks of contracting and std? Specifically my concerns are regarding hepatitis and herpes.
They gave me amoxicillin and it helped the sore throat but came back a few days after the meds... I went back they gave me a x ray and they said they ruled out bronchitis... Gave me meds but I dont have a cough just a sore throat, Not loosing weight or stool problems, havent really seen a rash... took all the meds and that was last week.... Its been like a month now. Any suggestions? Should I go and actually test for hiv or stds? What does this sound like?
You had no risk for HIV from what you described. Vegas is a germ infested petri dish so, no wonder you got sick after being there. It has nothing to do with HIV. It has to do with being in close proximity with many other people and touching surfaces that were previously touched by germy people carrying colds, the flu, strep, norovirus, and any numbers of other easily spread bacteria.
have had at the beginning of october alot congestion nose and throat and ear congestion cough and mucus that would not come out the doctor said it was allergies so he told me to take zyrtec and flonose nasal spray and prescribed me amoxicillin 250mg 3 x a day for 15 days and took allegraD and it help a lil only till it wore off so im still not feeling better and am desperate to be better i have a two yr old. .i even tried the nasal irrigation and not better..
Ok, I've been sick for practically the last 2 months. I had bronchitis for about 3 weeks, then I got the flu, and most recently I developed a sinus infection that required that I be put on antiboitics. Problem is, ever since I started the antibiotics my mouth has become more and more some (not centeralized anywhere, just very general spread out pain) and now I have what looks like small canker sores around my gums and on the border of my teeth and my gums.
