Adderall with oxycontin

Common Questions and Answers about Adderall with oxycontin

adderall

I was heavily addicted to heroin and/or oxycontin, and other potent opiates along with a nasty addiction to combing them with benzos like xanax, klonopins, or valium etc.., and other sedative and muscle ralaxers. Anything I could snort it went up my nose..On Nov. 3rd 2007 I went to a treatment center and am on methadone daily(started on suboxone), and have been over a year clean from opiates.
As many of you already know I quit using Oxycontin Friday March 9th. Life has become much different during these past few weeks. I find myself sad and depressed one minute and on top of the world the next. I have been going to NA meetings on and off. I really havent had a good experience with the program. I call my sponcer and he doesn't return my calls. That hurts because I thought that NA was there to provide unconditional support. I get temted to use on a daily basis.
I have been reading from this site all day trying to deal with the withdrawals from the Oxycontin. I am an ex-football and now that I am getting a little older I have so much Pain kneck, knees, hips, shoulders, hands. I had to have lower back surgery in 1998 and since then I have been mostly on Loratab until the Othro. refered me to this Paim Management Doctor last year. The new Dr.
I recently discovered that my 49 year old wife has been taking my sons adderall for a year. She has been taking 20mg. per day. She also takes celexa for depression. I am concerned that she is addicted and will have withdrawal problems. I have hidden the adderall from her and she no longer has it available. She relizes that she has a problem and has commited to quit. What are the withdrawal symptoms, how soon after she has quit to they show, how long to they last and how can I help.

Just think of not being on adderall as going back to your old self. p.s. (i consume massive amounts of coffee to deal with always feeling tired).
(being molested as a little girl had alot to do with it.) Anyway, they detoxed me with first 40 then 20 then 10 mgs of Oxycontin every 6 then 8 then 12 hours. A few times during the first few days I was even given oxyIR for the acute part of the withdrawel. So, do not use the fact that you took half the pill as an excuse to say "screw it", if you do go back to them, you'll really be saying "screw me". It's not going to get better if you give up and go back.
I was diagnosed with MS about 6 months ago. I was prescribed Adderall by my nerologist to help me with my fatigue. Before I started taking the med I couldn't function after being awake for 8 hours and I was missing 2 to 3 days of work a week. Since I started taking it my productivity at work has increased, and I haven't missed any days. I also can have a social life now because I don't want to just go home and go to bed after work.
I think for you to really get off oxy's- you might need to go somewhere else, considering the people you live with actively use. I've tried getting clean with other addicts before, and it never worked. You might have to find refuge somewhere other than your house to atleast get over the withdrawals. Unfortunately even once you get past that- the mental part is just as bad. Keep posting and good luck.
I went home for a little over a month began having my ole migraines again and found my old prescriptions for hydromorphone and oxycontin. With the combo of theoriginal headaches and my mother facing a brain tumor i found myself needing them to just get away from it all slowly but surely in this months span I took almost all of the pills about three bottles. And than when I couldn't sleep I took ambien.
Can anyone help me, I have read a few posts but alot of the drugs you talk about are not available in Canada. My Son is addicted to Oxycontin a drug I take on a daily basis for chronic pain. I went into taking it myself knowing I would be on the drug for the rest of my life, It's a matter of pain management and being able to function. I only found out about my son's addiction this week I knew but didn't realise how bad it was till I had to go pay for my Jewelry he pawned.
I have many people tell me that I should consider adderall, although I know just about zero about it and its effects. But Ive been told that it helps with having energy, and one friend in particular has benefited from it greatly. I know I have depression to a point, but all the depression meds Ive taken either make me feel awkward or just flat out terrible.
At this point my sister was in the throws of hard core addiction with the roxies, so I would tabble with her everynow and again to help with the anxiety. Soon my sister got really sick and started using heroin, and I lost my best friend. This threw me into the deepest depression of all, and suddenly I found myself using pills to cope. Now I have been using just 30mg of oxy or roxy daily to help cope with my anxiety for about a year or so. I don't abuse it like most people do...
I have a son that does any drug available, pills and herion. He started with crushing oxycontin and snorting it, then progressed to Heroin. He's been in three rehabs so far, but keeps relapsing. The longest stay was three weeks, I feel he needs a longer stay. He's unreachable, and is tearing our family apart.
Having little ones makes it even harder to deal with than when you have only you to worry about. I have been with my husband for almost 18yrs now. He has not been a habitual user since before we were married, but he will leave out of the blue, for 3-4 days at a time. When we were first together, the first time he did it, I had no idea why. Of course, I was naiive and believed whatever lie he had told me at the time. Before we got married, he had done it about 3x.
I am also taking L-tyrosine with a vitamin B complex twice daily on an empty stomach along with another vitamin my friend supplied because he beat subs about there months ago with s ton of vitamins. Any and all advice is acceptable and will be incredibly helpful. please be open and honest and share anything that may possible help in the slightest bit. I am fearful, but not terrified like I used to be. its rough, I've done it once before.. but nothing compares to trying to be heroin cold turkey.
She instead said we had to start out slow in the longer pills and gave me a script for Oxycontin 10 with 5 Oxycodone every 4 hours. I never wanted to use Oxycon tin, because as a nurse in Hospice, we always used MS contin, because it's known that it works better on pain than Oxycontin, and has less addicive tendencies. And being that I'm a drug addict in recovery, >4 years now, I have to be careful. The first day the pain was so much better, although I did use the prn Oxycodone.
I was out drinking a lot last night and i was pretty hungover and today i got my adderall back...Well i took my adderall like i should but i am having SEVERE anxiety...I know its a mixture of the alcohol leaving my body and the medication...I just want to know what to do to get rid of it...
I went to get an anuall EKG and the doctor told me my resting heart rate was 115, and wanted to take me off of my adderall. Of cource that day in addition to adderall i had my usually 3 redbulls and cups of coffee. Since the opiates are a CNS does it have anything to do with my increased heart rate. My blood pressure is fine 102/70 something is i remember correctly but it's my heart rate in which i need to control. Is there any herbal methods I can take.
So I'm kinda floating by on my nurontin. I also take adderall for ADHD and valium to help with panic attacks. I am now seeing just a pyschiatrist. Who doesnt treat bi-polar with opiates. He believes that it was working for me but is not familiar enough with the recent studies. I can't take anti-depessants because they wire me up because of the adderall I guess. It also addressed my pain that I suffer with due to lupus and osteopenia. Dr. Cocrah has 2 books out there on his case studies.
i was heavily addicted for over two years to snorting oxycontin and/or heroin, along with xanax, any other benzo, or sleeping pills. basically any pill i could find a way to snort i would take it. i got help, detoxed, and went to treatment. iw as on a suboxone treatment plan for 8 months, but then i severely broke and separated my wrist which ended up leaving me in the vicious cycle of addiction all over again.
I have been high strung every since i can remember when i was a kid my parents just said I was F--KED up I got into drugs and meth was my drug of choice I went into a drug rehap and people said when in came i was spun out and i never came down at six months clean i was almost arrested for under the influence the cops thought i was on speed i stayed clean 2 years since then from time to time do meth when i get so wound up I do not like that about myself I took many different biopolar meds they ga
Iv been on opiates since iv been 11 started with 10mg norco (which is vicodin with 325 tylonal) and started taking it 3 times a day and was up to the point where i was taking 12 a day, then i was taking 10mg percs, moved up to 15 mg roxies then they added 30mg oxycontins 3 times a day, then i desided to try and taper myself off pain meds completely at age 15 because it was scary and my tollerance was just to high.

I have been diagnosed with bipolar 2 disorder. I take Adderall and abuse many other drugs. I could write forever but I just want to quit everything and be a normal guy.
Does anyone here have ADD(Adult) and have used Opiates and Adderall to Live a normal life? Here's my history (Long) I was given an IQ test in the first grade due to a learning disability in English. I scored 135 (My dad is 138). I was placed in a learning disability class for English and attended the gifted program throughout grade school. Around 5th grade I started having issues with school due to my slow reading and couldn’t pay attention to stuff I didn’t care to do.
what is it your body gets addicted tooo acephetamine or the oxycontin.
my husband was addicted to xanax i remember him abusing ambian and oxycontin but he claims i'm wrong and it was just xanax. anyway he went to a psychiatrist who specializes in addicts. he would not go into an inpatiant program and just relied on her to help him thru this.this was around 3 years ago. he is now on the following meds all prescribed by this doctor. effexor, clonopin, adderall, amphetimine salt, klonopolin, and another type of adderall xr or something like that.
It seems alot of pain patients are rejecting the new formula of Oxy, and replacing it with Opana, (which I understand to be just time release dilaudid), when I ask why the rejection of the new Oxy OPs (?) they have stressed that the ingredient to make the OPs tamper proof can cause major problems with possible pulminary embulisms, and an assortment of other organ break down effects, ,,, I know its taking me a minute to get to the question part..
I don't know what I would do without it, I have so much wrong with me and I used to be on the oxycontin until they changed it. It took forever to kick in and help the pain and I noticed it took more of it to stop my pain to. So don't be afraid of taking it you will enjoy being pain free I know I sure am. GOOD LUCK, if you find time let me know how it works for you.
