Your doctor seems to be very good. He is making sure that you do not have any open sores, or infection before starting remicade.
I was on remicade before a fistula and my chrons caused me to have bowel resection. If it had not been for the fistula I would have continued on remicade. It was a wonder drug for me and I was feeling much much better. I was at the bottom when I started it and truly believe I would have been in the hospital within weeks if I had not started the remicade.

My 9 year old had a Appendectomy a month ago and after a week in the hospital he's still not having much physical activity and still reating for the most part. This morning he started having a bad stomach ache and it's been off and on all day. Could this have anything to do with his Appendcitus?
Pain in the upper left abdomen and chest area can be due to stomach issues (GERD or hiatal hernia), spleen issues, due to an abscess below the left diaphragm, a hematoma (localized collection of blood), an abscess, or a muscle pull (as it happened while playing). Ultrasound would have ruled out spleen problems and an abscess below the left diaphragm. A CT scan would be more diagnostic.

i am just suggesting here. see a doctor to know whats going on your body. after i that pain occurs with me, i let my doctor checked me right away, and it came out that im having a UTI but in mild case. so i get well just for a couple of days. don't make the situation worst. Go to doctor ASAP.
Hi, I bet that if you keep your cat's nails trimmed that might help with the "anal abscess". By the way, I've never heard of that before. Your vet said he was scratching at his booty area, and that's what caused it? Well, you sound like a good mom that cares about your kitty!!

Pain under left ribs is often due to acidity with gastric reflux or hiatal hernia. Take a late night snack. Raise head end of bed. Take Omeprazole empty stomach in morning and an antacid gel at bedtime. Refrain from smoking, alcohol, fuzzy drinks and spicy food.

8 weeks ago I felt like I had a bad case of gas and my stomach was bothersome. I developed a fever and more abdominal pain so I went to see a doctor. While I was lying down he touched different areas to see if it was an appendicitis and had me jump up and down to see if I was in any pain, I was not any more pain then I was already in.
Do you have a family doctor (PCP), or a medical walk-in clinic that your husband can visit? Maybe he/she can order blood or urine tests to be done. Has he been taking prescription or over the counter drugs that may have had an adverse reaction to his system? If he has, perhaps you should call Poison Control (found in the phone book, page 1) to see if they can help or advise you better. I would even suggest demanding to have tests done. No one knows our bodies better than ourselves, afterall.

The various possibilities which present with such pain in the abdomen are appendicitis, diverticulitis, Crohn’s disease, bowel obstruction, ovarian cysts, ectopic pregnancy and pelvic inflammatory disease,irritable bowel syndrome , kidney obstruction or pyelonephritis, psoas abscess and volvolus (twisting of the sigmoid part of the large bowel on itself).
Investigations like ultrasound abdomen, CT abdomen and colonoscopy are required to confirm a diagnosis.
Hi, my age is 28 years. I had liver abscess last year. i hav taken proper treatment of Liver Abscess. It was Amoebic LA. But i dont feel well after one year also. I left my job also because of this disease. I am not doing anything because i am not feeling well right now after completion of one year also. I am experience pain in all parts of body after liver ascess treatment. The pain at liver side is decreased somewhat. I want to know when it will be completely cured? When i will be feel better?
He injected it with cortisone right about the same time my stomach began burning…probably releasing the abscess toxins in to my blood stream. The abscess was there long before my encounter.

As Margot said, it may be a cyst or abscess. I don't know where you live, or what diseases are present in your area, but if it is a cyst or abscess, then it isn't contagious. But do be careful to wash your hands with hot water and soap after handling it ir bathing the wound, etc, as sometimes infections like this can cause stomach upsets, if the bacteria are transferred to your mouth or food etc.
At one month, he is really young and tough in his little way...yet also very vulnerable.
m 41yrs old, in reasonable fitness and health but have been diagnosed with a ruptured appendix and have had a drain/antibiotic therapy to clear up the infection and abscess. The appendix will be taken out in 4 weeks' time. What range of physical activity should I carry out in the interval? Would there be a risk of causing damage by lifting, bending, moderate gym exercise etc ?

s know about your symotoms as they may want to do some tests to be sure they got all of your absess, and that your infection has not returned. Your W/D from the perks should only last about 3-5 days with day 2-4 the worst of it, but as you know everyone reacts diffrently. FYI I have had to come off long term use of Percocet and Vicodin ( 6 + yrs ) I now have to come off a stronger pain med due to many recent surgeries ( Morphine Contin ER ) which my Drs.
