Abilify worked for stress, but it still had mental side effects, such as stuttering, and not thinking or understanding clearly, social anxiety, weight gain, and I cried all the time and I only liked sad things. And Abilify made me have limited interests. What kept me on abilify, was the increased interest for the limited interests that Abilify made me had. I've always loved animation, but Abilify increased that, and I was obsessed with animation.
No history of bedwetting as a child. I take abilify (3yrs.), paxil (10yrs.), lorepazam (10yrs.), ritalin (5mo.), and ambien (1yr.). History of frequent UTI's (about 3-4x per year), and kidney infections (about 4 in lifetime). About 2 years ago I started having nighttime incontinence, and I was suspicious of abilify as a potential cause.
Have you had these symptoms checked out by your GP? Abilify does cause shaking and tremors, and just because your psychiatrist hasn't seen these side effects doesn't mean they aren't being caused by the Abilify. I doubt the Abilify is doing much to help you, it's rare to get this many years out of one medication as our bodies build up a tolerance to these types of medications.
my doctor has given to me abilify and wellbutrin, is it good for quit smoke and go school well?
i cant go school well. i cant stay in classroom. even i cant go to school. i always want to stay at home. i am out of my home, i quickly want to go back my house. also i smoke 3 packet cigarette in a day. also i have serious sleep disorder.
i explained my problems to my doctor. then he gave me wellbutrin and abilify combination. what do you think about it?
I finally was able to get rid of him, not just due to the Abilify snafu but because he never listened to me or my problems instead his sole purpose was to push unneeded medications on people. I stopped taking Abilify seven months, with my primary physician's approval, before I told my Shrink -- he was not happy with me in the least. Of course, the same day I told him I'd been off the Abilify for seven months was also the day I fired him.
I started lamectal about 2 months ago and take abilify and trazadone as well. I have lost my hair significantly in the past 2 months. I take Lamectal twise a day 150 mg. Abilify 15 mg & 50 mg of trazadone. I also take 1mg of klonipin as needed. Could any of these be causing it - a combination? Any suggestions? Depression will never go away if I am bald. Please help. I would like to discontinue the one that is causing this.
After than we got her we checked out every 6 months. Just recently we found another cycst on the same kidney. Our family doctor reffered us to kidney specialist and there we were advised to have our own kidneys checked out to see if there is a family trait to it. They have also done a genetic test. All these results came out negative. But then again the specialist said we still have a small chance that we might suffer from polycystic kidney disease.
I was taking this medication last August and still have the memory and concentration problems as of now. The problems have not gone away much, I would say only 50% better and it is still bad.
I went to an Emory psychiatrist but they have just put me on Seroquel as of yesterday. I have stopped taking that today and while I was on it I felt very numb and could not feel emotions and I was very drowsy.
1. I take Abilify and Depakote, and sometimes psychoactive drugs have strange, rare side effects.
2. I am a kidney dialysis patient, and the Web tells me a very uncommon condition called dialysis disequilibrium syndrome, experienced during or after the treatments, can involve confusion, cognitive problems, or -- you guessed it -- hallucinations.

I am on 90 mg of Cymbalta and just started 15 mg of Abilify for depression. My doctor has titrated me up on the Abilify gradually. My question is for anyone who take 15 mg of Abilify for depression. Have you experienced any side effects? When you're depressed and trying to get your medications right it just isn't fun. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
t make any sense is that I am no longer taking Abilify and Im still having these problems and here all along we thought that Abilify was the one causing these allergic reactions

As far as having mood swing, depression and etc well everything is great and I have had no problem with that the only problem Im having is abnormal facial movements, trouble swallowing, dry mouth, a little trouble breathing and
I have only started the Abilify so far on day 3 … I was supposed to start together but I dropped the pristiq bottle and pills fell on floor now because of contamination ocd I can’t take them and insurance won’t pay for a refill yet so doctor says just take the Abilify for now , I’m noticing it is helping me to change my behavior versus the ssri just kinda helped me manage my existing behaviors but never had courage or motivation to change my behaviors so I’m hoping that’s where Abilify will come
The doctors NEVER told them they had a kidney infection...Only AFTER records were requested, was the kidney infection found and finally treated (leukocytosis, leukocytesterase, WBC, bacteria positive)....GET A COPY OF YOUR RECORDS....P.S. My cat had elevated liver enzymes 40x normal, glowed yellow with jaundice...from an environmental toxin (rat poison likely). I refused antibiotics for a non-existent infection (CBC normal).
At one point I was on both Effexor and Abilify, then my doctor took me off the Effexor. I have done fine on Abilify alone - but that is me. Did your doctor put you on all 3 of these meds at once - or at different times, in response to symptoms you were having? I would speak with your M.D. at your next visit and tell him or her that you don't want to be on so much medication. See what he or she says. I always prefer to side with the doctor when it comes to this sort of thing.
