I take 900 mg of Gabapentin, 50mg Tramadol, 10 mg of Zolpidem (generic for Ambien). It takes 2 hrs for mine to kick in sometimes but I get about 6 hrs of undisturbed sleep. Many times, when I wake I have nerve pain in my right upper shoulder/armpit area. I have tried all sorts of over the counter sleep aides and this is the only one that doesn't make me feel yucky the next day.

d go straight into a panic so they started me on zolpidem 10 at night. I have been on it for 18 months now and zolpidem does not work, and I don't want to take more, so will try wean off that, but I know what will happen, back to adrenalin rushes...plus Xanax seems to have no effect, but if I don't take it, I know I have'nt, if that makes sense. m very sorry for my error. I am taking Zolpidem Tartrate which, a friend told me was like Xanax. I understand it is more like Ambien? Is Zolpidem difficult to stop taking? Is there something more mild that you have heard about that maintains sleep that I could talk to my doctor about? Thanks.

I have suffered from insomnia for about 3 years now and have tried trazadone and zolpidem tartrate. I am currently on zolpidem 10 mg. I do not have trouble maintaining sleep just onset. Usually this occurs 3-4 nights a week and can lay awake for 2-4 hours before falling asleep. This causes me to be extremely tired the next day. I really avoid taking naps and can "power" through the day only to feel wide awake come bed time around 11-12 pm.

I sometime take Zolpidem( geneic for Ambien) 5 mg. Not every day, my doctor gave me a scrip.

My (74 year old) father currently is taking these medications together Pravastatin Sodium 80mg, Zetia 10 mg, Isosorbide Mnonitrate 30 mg, Metoprolol tartrate 50 mg, Plavix 75 mg, Amlodipine Besylate 10 mg, Aspirin (nsaid) 81 mg low dose The doctor told him his liver count is up 66 and the lower range is 64. Would any of these drugs or combination of these drugs make liver count increase?

He takes 10 mg every night before going to sleep. How long can Zolpidem withdrawals last? And would they start right after he starts to taper with it or after he stops taking it completely?

I've had a lot of years with Metoprolol, from 25mg. to 200mg. What I feel is my heart is a little slow to respond to demands. Once it gets up to speed, I feel really good for a 63 year old. I found it took a little while to become acclimated to it. But now I feel no side effects except for the heart thing. That can feel like a heavy feeling in the chest until it gets up to speed. I've been on a steady 75mg. now for 3 years.

It affects my life, I fall asleep in the morning hours and sleep well into the afternoon. I currently take 200-300 mg trazodone, 1.5-2 mg clonazepam, and 10-20 mg zolpidem. I have been taking a beta blocker, 50 mg Metoprolol ER (Extended/Slow Release), for several years but have with my cardiologist approval today refilled my BB prescription with Metoprolol Tartrate (normal release) to be taken at 25 mg twice a day (every 12 hours). My reason is driven mainly by the fact the Tartrate is about 1/6th the cost of the Suc (ER).

I have read (Delta Dawn for one person on this community) some who are sensitive to BB break it up to 4 times a day, this gets confusing to me if one is going to get 8 hour sleep it isn't possible to take a med every 6 hours. Still, 12.5 mg 4 times a day may work better for you than 25 mg 2 times a day. You'd have to figure out how the forth is taken, you may need to take 12.5 mg every 8 hours with the last one before bed time being two doses, that is it would be the old 25 mg dose.
