Despite being a small, thin woman, I take 60 mgs of Remeron, 60 mg of Buspar, and 15 mg of zolpidem a day for depression, GAD, and severe insomnia (I was hospitalized 3 weeks this past summer for insomnia, and left the hospital taking 25 mgs of zolpidem with 100 mg Seroquel per night, but have gotten down to 15 mgs and cut out the Seroquel).

10 mg of ambien and 100 mg of serequel works great for me. Is there any problem with this combination.
i have been having these rushes of adrenalin in my head just as I go to sleep. Just came off Zolpidem but still on Amitriptyline. It used to be I couldnt get tired. Now I get tired but cant get to sleep due to this sensation. It kept me awake until 6am last night and when I did sleep, I contently woke up light-headed.
Zora 10 is a generic zolpidem from India. Supposedly. Its an orange tab made by an outfit called Cyril Labs in Mumbai. Avoid this stuff. It does not work like real ambien. I threw it away. Same goes for another Indian off brand called Zolfresh. It also came from Mumbai. It won't kill you; It just doesn't work. Thumbs down on meds from India.
I previously alternated between temazepam and zolpidem for sleep. I also take gabapentin. Three weeks ago I stopped temazepam and tramadol. I am taking zolpidem every night now and continue gabapentin 3x a day. I don't crave either of the meds I quit, but I have been experiencing inability to concentrate, ringing in my ears, vomiting, blurry vision, sweating, confusion, anxiety and mood swings. The symptoms wax and wane and I can't find a pattern.
Different people have very different reactions, and we also have different reactions to different meds. Some we find easy to stop taking and some impossible. The longer you're on a med and the better it works, meaning you're absorbing it quite well, the harder it is to stop.
So wondered if I was taking it too long and it built up to cause the tinnitus. I am now going without it for a month to see if tinnitus improves - so far it has not. But am not sleeping well at all without it. Trying trazodone for sleep, but not helping very much. I have consulted 2 different ENT's who checked hearing - one says hearing aid would help tinnitus, the other says it would not. (I can hear people quite well.) Tried masking hearing aids, but didn't seem to help.
d go straight into a panic so they started me on zolpidem 10 at night. I have been on it for 18 months now and zolpidem does not work, and I don't want to take more, so will try wean off that, but I know what will happen, back to adrenalin rushes...plus Xanax seems to have no effect, but if I don't take it, I know I have'nt, if that makes sense.
Am I on too much here?
I'm trying to get off Xanax (10mg) for sleep. It works fine, but if I want to take a nap during the day, I find I cannot sleep without it. I never knew this was such a powerful drug and was never told it was addictive. Since I am a new member, I was looking for a history of questions by other members, because this appears to be a popular question. Thank you.
If you have used Ambien/Zolpidem for 3 years you are going to have a hard time coming off of it. You need to really inform yourself on w/d from this drug. It is only meant for very short term use 7-10 days per the Ambien website. You can have seizures from w/d from Ambien it has to be tapered off of very slowly. You need to be under a doctors care after being on this med for so long.

I can tell you how it works, but I'm not sure it's going to be of much help. Zolpidem (Ambien) is a nonbenzodiazepine hypnotic of the imidazopyridine class. This drug binds very selectively to the benzodiazepine omega-1 receptor (unlike other benzodiazepines which bind non-selectively to omega-1, 2, and 3 receptor subtypes), It increases the frequency of chloride channel opening.
s generic form zolpidem. it has always work up until two months ago when apparently the pharmacy changed suppliers. i took the little round purle pill up until then and now i take a white oval one. This one does not seem to be working as well and the side effect just seem wierd Does anyone think that the new manufacturer product is inferior and has anyone experienced this?
