I am taking zofran and it's perfectly safe and a class b drug. The ads on tv are just lawyers trying to get money for a case they can't prove. The birth defects they state are the most common among all babies born no matter a family history or not. Don't be afraid to take it if you need it. If you are that afraid though, look up the study of 600,000 pregnant women in denmark in 2013 that proved it was safe.
I've taken 2-3 tablets of Zofran everyday since week 5, now 21 weeks along and my baby girl is PERFECT :) nothing abnormal, nothing out of the ordinary, just perfect.
A full dosage of Zofran puts me to sleep so I take 1/2 tablets twice a day.......the 1/2 a 10mg ambien puts me to sleep for a good 8-10 hours, so I use that.....i am prescribed the full 10mg, but it leaves me drowsy in the morning, and puts me into such a deep sleep, i once slept through a tornado warning that lasted 30+ minutes (since I want to be awake for my baby at night, I am only taking the 1/2 pill to keep myself semi-conscious).....

the wafers are all that works. i am having trouble getting a script larger than four wafer or tablets. its really started to drive me mental. i am having to go to the doctor every four days just so i am able to function for work. any suggestions on how to get around this problem??
I have a Chihuahua and she weighs about 3-4 pounds. What dosage of Zofran should I give my sweetie Pie?? She became sick a few days ago, and we are on vacation away from our regular veterinarian. I am extremely worried about her. She is 10 months old and my husband bought her for me October 31, 2013 because I had a Chihuahua that would've turned 13 years old October 7, 2013 but she was killed by my neighbors dog.
Zofran worked great for me and didn't make me sleepy.
Ask your doctor for zofran. It was a LIFE SAVER for me! I was only sick for a few weeks because I asked for zofran. After that, never got sick again. It works like a charm! But everybody is different.. some people don't get sick at all, others a few times, & some are sick the whole 40 weeks. Just depends on you girlie. Definitely ask for zofran. There are tablets You can buy from the pharmacist or chemist when You're pregnant. These tablets are perfectly safe in pregnancy and are herbal.
Ginger tablets, they're used for travelling etc and nausea.
I started with 2mg Lorazapam and it worked right away . I had nausea right away as that was one of my first symptoms when I got sick. I took alot of ginger for the nausea at first and then I needed something stronger and that's when I took Zofran. The Zofran worked on my nausea right away also. If you take the two together at bedtime, the Lorazapam will help you sleep and the Zofran will help with the nausea.
They both work pretty good for me..the zofran does work a little better for me though but it makes me so constipated (tmi) and the promethazine will make you so sleepy! I still need both occasionally :/ 32 weeks today!
t handle it so i got some meds called promethazine i took it once and it made me feel high and it made me also throw up like an hour later. so then i heard that zofran is way better so i asked my doctor for it so he prescribe it but then i found out my insurance does not cover it and i would have to pay 100$for 30 pills. but people tell me normally moring sickness goes alway at around 14 weeks so i don't know if i should buy it

I took Ondansetron. They're generic for Zofran.. They were 8mg dissolvable tablets & they worked great ! I never had any morning sickness but on the days I didn't feel good, these really helped.
There are several strengths of generic Zofran available for sale, including Ondansetron 4 mg to 8 mg tablets. It also comes in several forms.
I don't know the cost differance between generic and brand name but there should be a difference. With all newly patent expired meds the cost will eventually come down.
Phenergan is actually an antihistamine and makes sense that it would not work as well as a drug made just to treat nausea and vomiting such as Zofran.
No it doesn't. The brain can't process the nausea feeling and the sour taste at the same time. Crackers and ginger ale doesn't work for a lot of people that's why I suggested something sour! Also ask your doc about zofran and phenergan! Crackers, water, and ginger ale never worked for me but to each his/her own though!
Yes and no to be honest they did nothing..the motion sickness chewable tablets by them worked way better but still didn't help me enough..I was to sick had to have zofran.
your dosage was similar to mine - you will be ok, honest. You will feel like the flu has come on, but recognising it is half the battle. Don't let the drug inside you trick you into using it again just to feel better.
Once you are past day three you can say you are off them for good. Don't go back. You can do this.

I would go to the Dr and get something for it. The say ginger tablets are good to take but didn't help me, I was barely eating and the Dr put me on medication and made me feel so much better, still picky with food but better.
I was on iv zofran fur two days in Hospitol and had to take zofran pills pretty much rest of pregnancy to eat. I also had ketones in my urine. Not blood though. Course that was when I was actually able to pee due to being so dehydrated. But I wouldn't worry much if your doctor isn't. I ended up have an 8 lbs 6oz baby who was very healthy got 9 on his apgar ect. I would just talk to your doctor about it more to ease your worry :-) hope that helps.
