I did not have any other symptoms such as discharge, burning, sores, or anything else. I was given a single dose of Zithromax (Z-Pak), because I was not properly tested and I think the nurse practitioner was guessing based on my symptoms. Around 6-7 days after the antibiotic, I noticed that the symptoms had disappeared. So, with that background, my questions are as follows:
1.) Do you think that I had been infected with an STI such as NGU?
2.) If so, was the treatment (Z-Pak 1.
About a week after the event, I camed down with an upper respiratory infection and was prescribed a Z Pak. I was to take the first 2 pill the first night, a total of 500 mg and 250 mg for the following four days. My question is... do you think that is effective against eliminating Gonnorhea if I were to have it? And what other STD's could this take care of?
I was taking it for Chlamydia trachomatis infection...
I went to my doctor and he did a blood test and urinalysis and also scheduled an ultrasound as well as prescribed amoxicillin for 10 days for a throat infection. Nothing turned up. A few weeks later I went back in still having flow issues, he prescribed cipro for 7 days, which helped for a little while and cleared up flow issues. In the middle of September I was prescribed a z pak for a sinus infection but now I was having some pain in my testicles.
So I'm an idiot. Got drunk the night after being prescribed Z-Pak (1 gram at once) because the clinic prefers to overtreat and said it looked like I "might" have something. The condom broke.
Wondering A) if the Z-pak would prevent me from getting any new infection from this partner, even though I took it 36 hours before and B) what are the chances I infected the partner with anything?
When we turned on the lights, it turned out she was bleeding so that freaked me out too.
well,where do i start,i was put on azithrymicin,z pak, got bacteria vaginosis,was given a round of flagyl after 10 days after being on the z pak,developed thrush and only took 2 flagyl so i never cleared the bv. took nyastin for a week did not work,then fluconzole for a week ,1 pill 100 mg for 7 days,worked ut i think i got lichen planus in my mouth. tongue hurts and burning,now i still have o take flagyl to clear up the bv.
Will I still be able to get a root canal, or will the tooth have to be extracted? Currently, it's loose. I can touch it and see it move a little relative to the other teeth. But I assume that has something to do with the swollen gums/cheek? The swelling has finally started to go down now that it's been about 24 hours since starting the z-pak, but I'm worried as I would really prefer a root canal to extraction. Thoughts?
I took her to the clinic to get tested and they ruled out BV even thought her family doctor assumed it was that. They insist that she has chlamydia and she gave it to me. They gave her a Z pack as well. Im just worried because i took my z pack on tuesday and im still having discharge. I drank a beer or 2 with my z pack later in the evening because i didn't know i could take alcohol with them. Now i'm wondering if the z pack didn't fully work on me.
ve forgotten what the doctor said it was called but I want to say it started with a c or d. I also was prescribed Z-pak antibiotics... Or generic zithromax. 250mg tablets . Which I was to take two of today and one each day for the next four days. Is it most likely I did contract an STD? And can I still get tested for an STD to be sure? Should I call the doctor and tell him about the blowjob after the fact? And make sure I'm on the right treatment if so?
thanks for commenting back....and the z-pak was the 500mg on the first day and 250mg for the 4 days after...it was originally prescribed for an abscessed tooth...and now my fiancee says she come up with chlamydia and she doesnt know if it was from the last time she had intercourse before we got together or from me...
She got a pimple near the corner of her mouth that resembled the bumps on her foot. A couple of days later, after I got out of the shower and took my second day of zithromax for a sore throat, I started to notice immediately 2 bumps on my hand, three bumps on my other hand, two on my foot and two in my mouth on my tongue. I don't know if this is a cross between a dermatological problem or an oral problem.
I've had a fever between 100.5-101.8 over the last two days, burning urination, blood in urine, slight fatigue at night, and no other symptoms. I just began taking an unused Z-pak I've had. I know this could be chlamydia, gonorrhea, and or UTI.

I was diagnosed with step and put on a z-pack. My throat is swollen and sore, I can barely swallow. I have also noticed a large pus pocket right next to my uvula.
It's been 3 days and I haven't gotten better at all. Is there anything else a doctor can give me to try and get the pus pocket and sore throat to go away?
Yes, it scars your lungs. I've had it 5 times in my life now (first was around 15 yrs old)... and I've had anti-biotic resistant strain before resulting in hospitalization while pregnant with twins. I took 4 days of the Z-pak and the pneumonia got worse. I ended up hospitalized for a week and lost the babies in 2005. I have it again right now. Just make sure you listen to your body. My current doc told me I had Bronchitis.
