Has anyone that has gastricparesis tried Zelnorm? It was working for me and than they took it off the market. My doctor just suggested a drug from Canada named domperidone. Does anyone have any experience with this drug. I tried Reglan and couldn't handle the side affects. Erithamyacin made me break out in a rash. Right now I depend on Zofran for the throwing up and sometimes it doesn't help.
So from your information I see you are living in the US. Zelnorm was removed from the marked in the US because of dangerous side effects. It can cause severe diarrhea and ischemia of the bowel. You need to see your doctor immediately. This could be very serious and what you describe was why it was removed from the market.
Cancer removed May 22, 2007, chemo July 2nd through October 8, 2007, and radiation on left breast November 2nd through December 26, 2008. I have dealt with the effects of Heirschsprungs disease it seems forever. However as I'm getting older constipation is becoming more prevalent so I take Metamucil but it seems to make it worse. So then I take Miralax with it but I then I have gas ALL the time and with it, poop. I feel chained to the bathroom and of course never clean. Zelnorm was the beat solution and worked really well but then was taken off the market. What can I do to resolve this ever increasing problem?
There must be a better way to detox yourself from this drug, tobacco, without just turning to another difficult drug, an antidepressant, particularly one that's so stimulating. I'd look into lifestyle changes before drugs to see if you can work yourself out of it, such as exercise, meditation, or whatever else works for you. Tobacco isn't the only drug with problems.
i am sorry that any of us who is suffering from this drugs effects i hope there is something that can be done an reverse what this has done to us...if anyone has had simaler side effects as me plz let me know i am a nervous wreck....

But be aware, another drug could have different side effects. Over the 20+ years I have taken anti depressants, I have experienced quite a few different side effects. Effexor was the best drug I ever took. I did well on it. Whereas others have given me side effects I could not handle.
If you really do not want to stay on Effexor, then have a word with your doctor.
It can take a few months to separate disease activity from treatment side-effects unless its something obvious like Copaxone welts.
Be sure to mention this to your team when you go for the second infusion so this gets put in your notes and you get feedback from the pros. In the mean time, I'm so sorry you're feeling this wiped out.
I have not used the drug but don't read that vomiting and drooling are side effects. It dies take time and maybe dose adjustments before you notice a difference.
The best thing you can do is call your Vet and ask these questions.
Regarding the use of Gabapentin, you are regularly using since last September and had you suffered similar pains any time in the course of taking the drug? Although it has side effects as any other medicine, joint pain is not among the common or usual ones. You need to consult your attending doctor who had prescribed Gabapentin and update him of the possibility of the joint pains due to taking the drug. Are you been regularly followed up for your thigh pain? How is the pain presently?

My wife, Nanette, had liposomal doxorubicin or Caelyx for 6 months (equivalent to 6 treatments) and she had skin darkening. We noticed the change in her complexion midway through this regimen. She applies sun block lotion everytime she goes outside. Kindly watch out for PPE / hand and foot syndrome also, although Nanette didn't have this. I used both, and found that side effects are similar; tiredness, weight gain, and a slow pulse. Side effects are more pronounced as the dosage is increased. I had dosages from 25mg to 200mg. daily. Other reported effects are loss of libido, tightness in the chest, itching, irregular breathing, and irregular heartbeat. The thing is my mom is a bit scared because of what she has heard about the possible long term effects of accutane. Is it true that the drug can cause serious liver damage etc? I am aware of the short term effects of accutane (chapped lips, blured vision etc) but can someone enlighten me on what can possibly happen in the long run with my health after i take this drug?
