1051017 tn?1349636853 I have only been taking Yasmin for a few days now however, I seem to be getting some strange side effects. I keep having these short sort of dizzy spells. I don't actually lose conciousness. I just feel as if I'm dreaming for a second or two. Also I do smoke but am currently trying to give up. Since starting Yasmin, the smell of smoke and smoking itself has become nauseating. Thats also another one to add. Nausea and hot flashes. Also I've lost some of my sense of taste.

Avatar f tn i've had a cooper iud for 10 1/2 yrs, the dr. said it can now stay in for 12, have 2 great kids, happily married, but the last1-2 years i've had bv, yeast infections, and a gross smell down there a few days after my period. i have to have my period in order to take out the iud so i'm toying with the thought of having it removed and either having a new one inserted or having a different method all together.

11294269 tn?1422402907 Must wondering if any unmarried mothers planned on getting married. I am 11 weeks and have been with my boyfriend for a few years. Before the pregnancy, we discussed marriage, moved in together and started planning our life together. We were blessed with this little one amidst it all. I'm torn about getting married while pregnant. On one hand, I want to complete our family. Our love is strong and part of me doesn't want to wait to make it official.

Avatar m tn I am really worried Doctor because I am getting married in a year and a half, as I might contracted genital HSV1 because I am not really sure if that cold sore was caused by Herpes or not. Because if I have genital HSV1 there is no way I can get married because I live in a strict culture. And just to let you know that my brother has oral HSV1. I had full STD's screen as well all the result were negative. And these my only exposures I had in my life. Advise me Doctor.
698575 tn?1229608278 Hi. I was on Yasmin three years, after that I was on Zoladex and now I am on Yasmin again. I don't know for sure, but I think that Yasmin prevents ovulation and it makes harder for sperm to reach uterus (it is harder for the fertilized egg to attach to the uterus). I have read this: The primary mechanism of Yasmin is inhibition of ovulation.
Avatar f tn I am 30 yrs of age married for 8 years with no children. I have been suffering from chocolate cyst on Left ovary and poly-cyst on the right ovary. I do not intend to have children. I have undergone laproscopy for 2 times, once on each ovary but the cyst keeps resurfacing. Can I remove my reproductive system to get rid of the cyst problem. If I do so what are the consequences I have to face (Keeping in mind the health, anxiety, mood fluctuations, sexual life etc.

Avatar n tn m new to the community, see you posted last month. I was on Yasmin, I think its related to Yaz but not the same for about two years. I had some really odd symptoms with Yasmin and begged my dr to take me off of it, since then I was on Apri, which is just generic desogen.

Avatar n tn Hi! I'm almost 21 and am getting married in a few months. I am about to visit the gyno for the first time to start routine visits as well as get some sort of contraception/birth control. I was wondering as someone who has never taken any or had any, what would be the best kind to try first as a beginner? Thank you!
Avatar f tn Hello, I'm 24 yrs old and have been on Contraceptive since 2002. In 2002 i was deducted with ovarian cyst in one of my overy & also my insulin was high for which i was advised Metformin. However I had to change my gynecologist cause my earlier gyne was relocated to another location.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with endo 6 months back and was operated on immediately. The gyne later commented i had stage 4 endo which was very sever at my age (I'm 26 this year). Subsequently, i was given Decapeptyl for 3 consecutive months, stopped for 3 months and now starting to take Yasmin..I've read about the side effects of Yasmin but there seems to be few people taking Yasmin to help with endometriosis..can anyone advise?

Avatar f tn Completely agree. Yasmin has been my answer to moodiness/psm for 15 years now. On Yasmin I actually feel BETTER during the standard "pms" days of the month for taking it! Recently, on a whim, I too took the advice of the pharmisist who recommended Isobelle as an "exactly the same generic verse of Yasmin at a cheaper price" and have been taking it for over one month now.....OMG.
Avatar f tn (on saturday the 9th) And am now on week 3 of yasmin. my period is due this week. Do i continue taking yasmin? or should i stop taking it and start again on the first day of my period?
Avatar f tn So I hear (and I have also read) that yasmin is AWESOME for women with PCOS.. Any comments? I am about to switch from alesse to yasmin but I am nervous because there have been many birth control pills that give me uncontrollable mood swings, anxiety and depression. Alesse has been okay for me, not the best, but ok. Does anyone else experience this when they take birth control pills? I think that it is related very closely to PCOS.

704655 tn?1228685706 Whatever you do, don't shave! I have the same problem because of PCOS, but I wax. If it's just under your chin, perhaps you should try bleaching it. Bleach does work and it's not painful like waxing is. If the problem becomes worse and you start getting hair in more places on your face, you should wax instead because even with bleach, you'll be able to see the fuzziness of the hair around your face.
