Avatar n tn m on the combined pill and missed one or two in the last three weeks, I carried on taking it the next day despite missing it but have had unprotected sex with my boyfriend is there a chance of pregnancy even though I've continued to take it?
Avatar f tn I've been on the pill Yasmin for about a month now. The first three weeks me and my boyfriend never had sex. But we did the night before i started taking the white pill. I havent got my period yet and i only have one white pill left. Could i be pregnant? Me and my boyfriend had sex for the first time in the past month since i started taking the pills. Should i go talk to my doctor about it? Im a little worried and i just need some advice on what i should do.
Avatar f tn Ok usually I'm really good with taking my pill everyday. But this month I have forgotten to take the second day active pill and also the 8 day pill. Today I took the ninth day one but have had servre diarreha so I don't know if it will work. I had sex with my boyfriend nearly everyday. What are my chances of falling pregnant. I also know I started ovulation on Saturday ( the day I missed the last pill) if that helps. Please help I'm kinda confused.
Avatar f tn hey, I'm 18 years old and I've been dating my boyfriend for over a year. Obviously we've had sex. I've been on birth control (yasmin) since i was about 16. Because I'm on birth control I don't always use a condom. I know not the smartest thing, but my boyfriend and I are both clean. In January I had a seziure and was put on an anti sezuire medication. I've been on these pills for about 4 or 5 months and have continued to have unprotected sex on occason.
Avatar f tn I was going on a date with my boyfriend im still a virgin but we tried hump drying he wasnt wearing anything and i was wearing my panties while he was at it .. he stopped before coming and came on tissues but it was dripping.. and i was not near any ***.
Avatar f tn 1- Call your physician 2- Expect a lecture about being responsible when taking birth control 3- Keep the appointment if the doctor wants to see you 4- Set that iPhone to remind you to take the Yasmin every day ... and do not skip the regimen. Remember Yasmin does NOT protect you from HIV or other venereal diseases ... if you or your boyfriend have had sexual intercourse ... including non-vaginal sexual contact ... you both need to be tested for HIV and other Venereal Diseases ...
Avatar f tn Me and my boyfriend were fooling around and i gave him a handjob and he cummed and im not sure but it might have got on my vagina. Im still a virgin, and im jus freakin. That happened at 11pm at night so the next day at 12pm i took the first plan b pill. am i okay. it was 2 days ago. am i okay!?
Avatar n tn I have recently been prescribed Yasmin for period cramps. A year ago I came off Micrognon 30 as it was causing distress on my body and emotions. I have only taken the pill for 2 weeks today, but I am getting a bit concerned as I am still on my period. It's not a heavy flow but there are dark red clots (which vary in size and colour). I have thought about seeing my GP but maybe it's my body adjusting with the pill and I need a few months to see if it's a problem for concern or not.
1243620 tn?1274790697 However, if you are going to choose a low-dose mono-phasic pill there is no reason to jump straight to yasmin. Yasmin and Yas are new types of hormones that other pills don't contain, but that does not necessarily mean they are going to be better for everyone. These two are still under "brand" name and therefore will be many more times as expensive for you than another option. I take the generic version of "loestrin FE 1.
Avatar f tn Completely agree. Yasmin has been my answer to moodiness/psm for 15 years now. On Yasmin I actually feel BETTER during the standard "pms" days of the month for taking it! Recently, on a whim, I too took the advice of the pharmisist who recommended Isobelle as an "exactly the same generic verse of Yasmin at a cheaper price" and have been taking it for over one month now.....OMG.
Avatar f tn Well I too have pcos and I take metformin 500mg 2x and yasmin bc pills. I've been on the bc pills for close to 2 years and metformin i started in september 2008 (taking them everyday). Metformin is the only known drug that is given out to pcos sufferers.
Avatar n tn Hello, I am 20 years old and I am in college, I started taking Yasmin birth control about 6 months ago. I have never been an overly-emotional or person nor have I ever dealt with depression. Depression doesn't run in my family either, overall I am a pretty happy-go-lucky girl. However, when I started taking Yasmin I noticed I would get extra emotional usually around my period, or I would get angry and snap for no reason. This is not how I normally act.
698575 tn?1229608278 Hi. I was on Yasmin three years, after that I was on Zoladex and now I am on Yasmin again. I don't know for sure, but I think that Yasmin prevents ovulation and it makes harder for sperm to reach uterus (it is harder for the fertilized egg to attach to the uterus). I have read this: The primary mechanism of Yasmin is inhibition of ovulation.
Avatar f tn (on saturday the 9th) And am now on week 3 of yasmin. my period is due this week. Do i continue taking yasmin? or should i stop taking it and start again on the first day of my period?
Avatar f tn So I hear (and I have also read) that yasmin is AWESOME for women with PCOS.. Any comments? I am about to switch from alesse to yasmin but I am nervous because there have been many birth control pills that give me uncontrollable mood swings, anxiety and depression. Alesse has been okay for me, not the best, but ok. Does anyone else experience this when they take birth control pills? I think that it is related very closely to PCOS.
Avatar n tn Well, i have been feeling hungry all the time for about 3 days now. i take yasmin birth control and me and my boyfriend use the pull out method. i should get my period in 2 days but i usually get it 4-7 days late.
Avatar m tn m going to be using my first ever birth control pill (Yasmin), which is a combined pill, me and my boyfriend are going to be having sex around the 5/7th of July, so I'm going to be using the contraceptive pill until the 11th of July and then probably start again with a new 21-day birth control after 7 pill-free days. If I do take the pill correctly (everyday at the exact same time) and we do not use a condom AND he ejaculates inside me, is there any risk of getting pregnant?
Avatar f tn Okay, I have been on Yasmin for 5.5 years now. Me and my boyfriend do not use any other contraceptives except for withdrawal (if that counts). I have three questions. 1. I take my pill at 8 PM each day. The latest I will take it is at 11 if I forget. This doesn't happen often. How much does that compromise my effectiveness, if at all? 2. I missed ONE PILL in the third week of my pack last month, made it up in 11 hours. Pamphlet said not to use another form of contraceptive.
Avatar f tn Dear community or any gynecologist as well Hi my name is sami &This is my first time on yasmin well one will my periods be much shorter on yasmin & i was 8 days into my period to of the normal 10 days i have my period for & so it's been almost 3 years since the last time i was on any birth control pills but back then i was on ortho tri cyclen lo but about up to 4 year's on ortho tri cyclen until my obgyn at the time had asked me that if wanted to try ortho tri cylen lo but t
Avatar n tn I've bin taking Yasmin for over a year and planning to fall pregnant early next year ( before March), How soon can I stop taking them?
Avatar f tn 3 months ago i have to get a new pack (i usually have yasmin) the chemist guy told me there was a generic brand (isabella) which was EXACTLY the same and i asked him over and over to make sure i didnt have to wait 7 days to have sex etc. I have a boyfriend of 4 years and we have never used a condom.
Avatar f tn I would say to try the pill out for a few months, like 3 UNLESS your symptoms get worse. The body needs time to adjust to any bcp and 3 months is the normal. I'm on Yasmin too and never had any problems with it. Yasmin is one of the top bcp that is given to woman with pcos because most woman can tolerate it better then other bcp. The only thing I've found while taking Yasmin (and I think this goes for ALL bcp) it raises my blood pressure a little.
