xalatan opth solution

Does anyone take Xalatan? I picked up my new bottle of Xalatan today and I noticed the pharmacist didn't take it from the refrigerator, but took it off the shelf where she keeps all her prescriptions. I asked her if she shouldn't have had it in the refrigerator since yesterday when I called in the refill. She said one day out of the refrigerator would not harm the unopened Xalatan. When I got home I put it in my fridge.

l have been taking Xalatan for a year and there has'nt been any side effects except my eyes feeling a bit dry l have developed some floaters but my doctor says it most likley has nothing to do with the xalatan , but the past few weeks it has been starting to sting or feel a bit , sometimes l put in two drops at a time instead of one , could putting too much in cause this soreness, is there an eye drop such as a lubricant eye drop l could take that relieves the soreness.

I HAVE BEEN TAKING COSOPT ABOUT 8AM AND 1100AM THEN I TAKE XALATAN ABOUT 9PM WORKING THE NIGHT SHIFT.MY PRESSURES WENT FROM 30S TO TEENS IS THAT OK?TO KEEP USING THOSE TIMES OR SHOULD I TAKE A COSOPT AT 8AM XALATAN AT 11AM AND ANOTHER COSOPT AT 9PM.?

I wonder if anyone was ever using the brand name Xalatan and then had to switch to the Greenstone generic brand (supposedly made by same company- Pfizer). If so has it worked okay? My insurance might not cover the brand name any longer, which I have been taking for about 30 years, and wants me to switch to generic. (Insurance company and pharmaceutical companies are driving me crazy with their prices, etc.

I MISSED A COUPLE DOSES OF COSOPT AND XALATAN THE PAST MONTH SHOULD I JUST GO ON WITH MY REGULAR SCHEDULE/

Have used Xalatan for several years with no rash. Added Trusopt 1 year ago and about 3 months ago I started with a rash on eyelids. Dermatologist treated for contact dermatitis Fluticasone Propionate cream with little result. Opthamologist treated for blepharitis with an antibiotic cream and eyelid wash, again no relief. I tried using Xalatan in AM rather than at nite, no change. Tried just Trusopt AM and early PM, no change.

Hi, my doctor would like me to have SLT in one eye (has a test) to lower my IOP (Xalatan is not enough apparently)... I've red a couple of studies on SLT and some pretend that SLT is coutner indicated for Juvenile glaucoma (it could raise IOP instead of lowering it) I'm 31 years old... Any thoughts ?

Dear Sir, I have retina detachments in both eyes after surgeries I had eye pressure problems but on last visit to doctor on wednesday my eye pressure were normal 14 (Right eye) and 9 (Left Eye) I am using using Cospt, Alphagan, Xalatan( Twice a day and Pilocarpine 2% six hourly.

How much can Xalatan lower IOPs by? If it is not enough to get into safe figures, can other prostaglandins be tried? Is it realistic to hope that some of them will work for more than 2 or 3 years or is tolerance almost always built up to the drugs?

I have been using Xalatan for the last 6 months for my eye pressure which was 23 and now is around 17. Over the last 3-4 weeks I have eye pain in one of the eyes, consistent dull ache. I visited my Optho and had eye dilated and checked and everything looks fine. He changed the drops to Travatan. But the pain is still present after using travatan for like 2 weeks. What else can be the cause? What else should I try to find out?

How long would you say it would take pressure in eye to increase from normal to 50. I am on timoptol and xalatan at moment.

s were slightly elevated (and an Aunt had glaucoma) but returned toward normal on Xalatan drops? Might she expect the cataract surgery itself to alter her pressures toward normal or should she have a combined laser filtering procedure? Thanks.

I was diagnosed with glaucoma four years ago and was immediately put on Xalatan once a day both eyes. Two years later was taken off Xalatan and put on Cosopt & Alphagan, twice a day, Lumigan once a day, both eyes. For the past two years my diopter went from -4.00 both eyes, to -9.50 left eye, -7.00 right eye, as of today, in steady progression. I can already tell I'm probably not seeing 20/40 presently and need stronger contacts.

I had cataract surgery and now my eye is, I guess (according to opth.) permanently dilated. He said if it didn't correct itself within a few months, it was permanent and nothing could be done. Has anybody had this experience or can someone advise if there may be something that can be done?

My opth has diagnosed me with blepharitis, I use sterilid w/ compresses and take flaxseed oil, and I also use preservative free eyedrops for moisture. However nothing has worked to my satisfaction besides tobradex which I've used for about a year and half- my eyelid inflammation is pretty severe even with the other treatments, however w/ tobradex my symptoms are almost nonexistent.

I saw a neuro-opth and asked her if an ocular migraine could last that long. Her response was yes. I'm having similar issues right now and on prednisone to clear up the blurred vision. When I taper down 10mg, the blurring comes back within a couple of days. Neuro-opth and GP don't think it's optic neuritis, and the VEP is tomorrow. I would highly recommend a neuro-opth if you can find one. I saw a regular opth for this back in October and she didn't find anything wrong.

What is the outcome for others who have experienced this. Does the muscle start eventually working on its own and if so how long does it take or is the solution surgery to straiighten the eye? As I said my surgeon has never seen this happen before? I have yet to find someone on-line who has experienced this personally? Thank you for your assistance and how can I print off your articles.

Had it all of May. Went to the neuro-opth and he said it was viral conjunctivitis. Did some drops for a few days, went back and was pronounced cured. Pain started up again, but eventually faded away. It came back in July for a while, and now I've had it again since the first of Oct. Called the neuro-opth to talk to his nurse and see if there was any point in taking off work to see him.

I was prescribed xalatan to reduce the pressure. Around the same time I started noticing afterimages from objects with high contrast to their background (tv against white wall, my phone against desk) after staring less than 3 seconds. Further, when I read text online I notice faint horizontal bars beside the text (negative afterimage of the space between the lines). The most annoying aspect is that I sometimes see a negative afterimage of the people I am talking to.

42 year old male, IOP (both eyes) 18-19 (treatment with Xalatan just begun). No field loss in left eye, very minor field loss in right eye. Strangely, visual examination of the optic nerve showed nothing to the specialist that suggested nerve damage -- the only way he could even confirm that it was was from an OCT measurement showing the right eye nerve being slightly thinner than the left (85 microns avergage left, 80 microns average right).

On a different topic , can the long term use of glaucoma eye drops such as Xalatan , azarga cause any serious or vision threathening problems or is that not really possible, thanks

hi last night i may have accidentally taken my xalatan eye drop twice in one day.i know the usual dose is one time a day.my question is if i did take it twice what would happen and would there be side effects?

Since the L eye, I have had diplopia and have been told it is due to the anesthesia needle. I have seen a ped. opth. and been given temporary prism glasses. He seems ready to go ahead with the muscle surgery. I have read several of Dr. Hagan's papers on the subject and my specific question is: What is the longest amount of time it has taken for this type of double vision to resolve by itself without surgery? On Sept. 18 I will be at 3 months.

The pressure has dropped significantly as I have been on Diamox tablets and Xalatan drops since the pressure rise was noted. Do you think the visual field impairment i.e the blurring of vision sensitivity to light and glare will return to normal with time or is this loss permanent?
