601038 tn?1240252893 LOL...my 8 year old son walked by the computer and saw that and goes "is that Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars?". He was serious, too! If you don't know who that is...he's a really old and disfigured character from the Star Wars movies.
Avatar n tn Hello, The advertised creams have not proved in efficacy to tackle under eye wrinkles. For undereye wrinkles, botox shots and collagen fillers have proven to be very effective and hence I suggest you to consult a dermatologist and discuss it in detail. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
1068968 tn?1256169388 The botox works for headaches the same way it works to smooth out wrinkles... it paralizes the nerves. I understand that this in no way cures me or makes me better, but I don't need to take pain meds that I'll need rehab for later (and they didn't work anyway). The process wasn't a lot of fun, it involved 36 injections, they circled my head like a halo, then went down the back of my neck and into my shoulders.
1932338 tn?1349220398 Has anyone noticed any eye problems after having either botox injections on the sides of the eye for crows feet...or after having Restylyne filler injections around their lips ? I read that Restylyne and fillers can travel to the eye thru vessels.
Avatar f tn am I going to take some *hit over this one but yes I have used Botox a few times for my forehead wrinkles but I wear bangs so not something I will do again ... and during one of my daughter's stints in rehab I had my eyes done. I did it because I was so tired of people saying "are you tired" " you look tired" "are you not sleeping?" Well no as a matter of fact my daughter is an oxy addict and I haven't slept in months!!
Avatar f tn Other treatment methods include prescription acid creams or peels, stronger retinoids such as Retin A, Botox( botulinum toxin) ,non invasive or carbon dioxide laser and a surgical facelift. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar f tn Dear Stresser66, there is no long term evidence that proves that Botox is safe to use for cosmetic purposes. The fact that so many people are using it does not mean it is safe to use over the long term, it just means that people are willing to take that chance with their health. There is no long term research on its affect on the brain, nervous system or body.
Avatar f tn I did blood work, checked ovaries, take no medication blah blah blah ...I came to the conclusion that its botox! Yes, it does make hair SHED! ITS POISON!
1663373 tn?1333635989 I had to share that I had botox injections for headaches yesterday (no they didn't take out any wrinkles). It was 32 injections around my head and neck and my NL whom I love and have so much respect and trust for told me not to expect anything for 5 days well I felt better today than I have felt in forever!! The pain and muscle tension is not completely gone but the change in myself is huge. I am praying that it continues to get better.

1068968 tn?1256169388 Saw my NL yesterday. He's awesome and we're working together to try to keep me out of the OR. He's done studies on Botox injections for headaches and has had very good results with this on all types of patients (migraine, Chiari, brain trauma, cancer patients, etc). Our goal is to control my symptoms and keeps me out of pain as much as possible so I can remain functioning and narcotic free. Has anyone tried Botox? I'm still researching it myself.
Avatar f tn Over one year my skin has become a bag of wrinkles - my facem my arms my legs - basically all over. THis is very depressing as I seem to be withering much faster than all my contemporaries. Yet I have always been conscientious about exercising and eating the right foods. Can anyone shed any light on this or is there no solution to this deterioration? ... I am 54.
Avatar f tn I wanted to ask about etinol again, because I am very interested to know whether anyone has used a good strength OTC retinol product like Vichy, Boots or Green Cream (or prescription treitonin, Retin-A). Have you seen good results, specifically whether it may have helped with smoking wrinkles and sun damage. I know that you cannot get rid of wrinkles from smoking. However, does retinol help to fade somewhat or make them less noticeable?
1913502 tn?1330388192 Botox is not a solution for dry skin although it does plump up those wrinkles temporarily. Personally, I don't think it's a good idea during tx to add something toxic to our bodies including our skin. Botox is made from botulism. The best thing you can do besides drinking lots of fluids is keep using moisturizer, wear a hat, cover up and use sun block while in the sun. I found rosehip seed oil to be great for my face.
184674 tn?1360860493 http://uk.lifestyle.yahoo.com/family-parenting/mother-gives-botox-injections-to-her-eightyearold-daughter-blog-81-yahoo-lifestyles.html [I guess the question here is...what do you all think of child beauty pageants?] A British woman, originally from Birmingham and now living in San Francisco, has admitted to giving her eight-year-old daughter Botox injections to 'get rid of her wrinkles'.
Avatar f tn I have lines by my mouth when I stop smiling and if I look closely lines by my eyes and the corner of my lips and lines under my eyes. I'm only 22 and both of my parents looks young and don't have any wrinkles...I'm scared about what I'll look like at 30!is there any way to get rid of this? is this normal? are they going to get deeper as time go by? BTW , they're even on my cheeks when I smile, I have a thyroid problem ?
Avatar f tn Hello, Apply calamine lotion and good quality moisturizers on the face. If the wrinkles persist then botox injections and collagen filling or laser treatment may have to be tried. For this I suggest you to get an evaluation done from a dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist.
Avatar f tn Fine wrinkles can be decreased by adequate moisturisation and hydration.Bur for deep wrinkles, botox shots, microdermabrasion, dermal fillers such as hyaluronic acid, collagen and Radiesse and laser treatment are used .I would suggest you to discuss about these treatment options with your dermatologist. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn t want to answer this so I said please just let me read the phamplet that came with your samples and he said no just look up Botox on the computer and I am not satisfied enough becauase I feel I don't have enough information yet to allow a harmful substance to go into my body and I don't need wrinkles removed either.
Avatar m tn Also, did you know that people get botox in their hands to stop the sweating? It paralyzies the nerves. It proabably lasts around 2 to 3 months just like it does when someone gets it in their forehead for wrinkles. I'm so sorry you have this problem. Have you seen a dr and asked him if what might be causing this? I wish you all the best.
198419 tn?1360242356 HOLY SCHMOLEY, ANYONE ELSE SEEING THE WRINKLES COMING OFF OF THAT WOMAN's EYES, CHEEKS, LIPS, THIGH, BUTT AND HIPS! Duuuuuuuuuurrrrnnnnnnn that is good stuff! I just don't see ads like this in the daytime! Pardon my amazement!
333144 tn?1314271378 I see tha adds for cellulite and wrinkles and I keep wanting to erase the wrinkles of the ladies face with my mouse. I am so easily distracted and easily amused I guess.
1218873 tn?1300091216 lol I did see an add for some cosmetic thingy that you roll around your eye to help with wrinkles, said to be a botox substitute. The before shot looked like a month old wrinkly apple and the after looked like a deer in head lights, sort of startled because the skin was frozen. I'm thinking it might be worth a go, not sure how much good it would do for the my eye spasms but at least i'd look awake!
