am I going to take some *hit over this one but yes I have used Botox a few times for my forehead wrinkles but I wear bangs so not something I will do again ... and during one of my daughter's stints in rehab I had my eyes done. I did it because I was so tired of people saying "are you tired" " you look tired" "are you not sleeping?" Well no as a matter of fact my daughter is an oxy addict and I haven't slept in months!!

Dear Stresser66, there is no long term evidence that proves that Botox is safe to use for cosmetic purposes. The fact that so many people are using it does not mean it is safe to use over the long term, it just means that people are willing to take that chance with their health. There is no long term research on its affect on the brain, nervous system or body.
Over one year my skin has become a bag of wrinkles - my facem my arms my legs - basically all over. THis is very depressing as I seem to be withering much faster than all my contemporaries. Yet I have always been conscientious about exercising and eating the right foods. Can anyone shed any light on this or is there no solution to this deterioration? ... I am 54.
I wanted to ask about etinol again, because I am very interested to know whether anyone has used a good strength OTC retinol product like Vichy, Boots or Green Cream (or prescription treitonin, Retin-A). Have you seen good results, specifically whether it may have helped with smoking wrinkles and sun damage. I know that you cannot get rid of wrinkles from smoking. However, does retinol help to fade somewhat or make them less noticeable?
I have lines by my mouth when I stop smiling and if I look closely lines by my eyes and the corner of my lips and lines under my eyes. I'm only 22 and both of my parents looks young and don't have any wrinkles...I'm scared about what I'll look like at 30!is there any way to get rid of this? is this normal? are they going to get deeper as time go by?
BTW , they're even on my cheeks when I smile, I have a thyroid problem ?

Fine wrinkles can be decreased by adequate moisturisation and hydration.Bur for deep wrinkles,botox shots,microdermabrasion,dermal fillers such as hyaluronic acid, collagen and Radiesse and laser treatment are used .I would suggest you to discuss about these treatment options with your dermatologist. t want to answer this so I said please just let me read the phamplet that came with your samples and he said no just look up Botox on the computer and I am not satisfied enough becauase I feel I don't have enough information yet to allow a harmful substance to go into my body and I don't need wrinkles removed either.
Also, did you know that people get botox in their hands to stop the sweating? It paralyzies the nerves. It proabably lasts around 2 to 3 months just like it does when someone gets it in their forehead for wrinkles. I'm so sorry you have this problem. Have you seen a dr and asked him if what might be causing this? I wish you all the best.
