What is normal time to stay Avodart ? The doc give enough for 3 weeks but I would think I would need to stay on for longer than that. I have had no side effects as I know of and I believe it has helped. How long has others stayed on this ? Thanks for any help.
ve been taking Avodart for over a year. Should I stop taking Avodart and wait awhile before cataract surgery or will the informed Dr be able to work with my eyes? I've never taken Flomax and have heard the warnings from the commercial and read about Flomax. I'm concerned about any complications.
I'm also pretty active. Can I still swim after surgery and what are the chances of the lens shifting or coming loose?
If I remember correctly one of the drug companies just came out with a single pill that has both Flomax and Avodart in it. Just for your understanding, Flomax will give you relieve in just an hour or two so you can pee freely, but does not reduce the prostate size much(which is the the long term goal) where as Avodart slowly reduces the prostate size over months. Obviously, two two together will give you the best outcome.
Propose that your partner try Avodart. I think it really helps with prostate enlargement. That is what the television commercials say anyhow.
Unfortunately it also can cause a large reduction in semen production.
AND women wanting to become pregnant should NEVER touch the pill as it can cause birth defects if they are exposed at all to it.

Even getting older an cause it, smoking, taking various medications (not just avodart), gaining weight, etc. Do you find you also have erectile dysfunction? Avodart, unfortunately, is associated with these side effects. It's unclear though how long they will last. What does your doctor say? What prompted starting the med? Your psa looks pretty good.

I say this because there are certain medications meant for men, like Avodart for enlarged prostate, that women are told not to even handle. They say so on the commercials for this medication. If women are told not to even handle Avodart, which would mean that it can be absorbed through the skin, I would think you may be right about the possibility of you absorbing the hormones from the IUD. But, I suspect some doctor may refute this, although I don't know why.
I took a clearblue digital test on the beginning of my second week of possible conception and it was negative. Tomorrow will be the beginning of my fourth week. When can I take a test again and it be a reliable answer. I ahve been told that decent levels of the HCG hormone dont show up until about 3 weeks. I am suffering from BPH for the last 4 years and I am taking DUTASTERIDE (AVODART) and Alfuzosin .
Unfortunately , these meds do not help much since few months ago.
I also about a new procedure named: gat-goren (GG), that sounds as non-pervasive.
Did anyone hear about the GG procedure and can share experience or knowledge about that ?

he sees a consultant every year for a psa check up and the consultant says he is happy with the 0.6.he will not discharge him and says its a grey area and still needs to be checked every year.he said that if the psa doubles over a 6 month period then its not good.what i wont to know is what should a good psa be and what should a bad psa be.also if my husband only has a psa done every year how would the consultant know if the psa has doubled in 6 month.
Hello 2 months ago I had protected sex with a female partner with her sexual health status unknown. I am a 24 year old male. I am still terrified that I will have a recurrent mild outbreak. After possible exposure I didn't have any symptoms of an outbreak. So my question is. Is it possible to have an asymptomatic primary outbreak and then have a recurrent outbreak with lessons and prodrome? I have a female partner in a monogamous relationship and I don't want to infect her.
( I just want to ok now when is this going away . It's really hard trying to enjoy my pregnancy . I've tried almost everything to help and nothing has worked .
