l was finally given Tramadol for help with sleep. Per the rehab facility Tramadol is only drug prescribed as to very low addition rate. Supposed to be basically non-addictive.

I realised a while back that bread did me no favours generally, apart from being a quick fix for hunger pangs, and now rarely eat any. Gluten is of course present in many other things. Thanks for the tip. I will check that out.

I'm glad you found something that worked. RLS was the worst for me too. Ropinirole is sold in the US as Requip. It was originally prescribed for Parkinson' Disease and then it was discovered that it works for RLS. Keep going forward. It will be over soon.

this is known as off labeling...where a drug is intended for one purpose but used for another....in this case insomnia......

t wait to pop that sleeping pill and sleep! My active life is gone! My question is... What pain meds can I ask for? Pain meds are nit top of my list... Heck this gabapentin loops me and makes me unlike myself. Don't need to be a looped zombie just a pain free one!

hello there, I have had RLS for 5 years now, 2 years ago I sprained my neck and was given Tramadol,it helped my neck but also took away that nasty sensation in my legs my doc has kept me on it since. I had tried everything and this is the only thing that worked for me besides warm baths, good luck to your daughter.

I just came off tramadol. The withdrawl process is insanely horrible. Not trying to scare you but it is. Tramadol is highly addictive. I'm on day 13 and feeling so much better finally. Good luck! Please don't do if cold turkey, you can have seizures.

Hi there. There is no known cure for restless leg syndrome. Treatment is aimed at stress relieving of muscles like warm baths, gentle stretching exercises and massage. lowdoses of pramipexole and ropinirole can be effective. For disturbed sleep, you may be give medicines like gabapentin, pregabalin, clonazepam. Iron supplements for iron deficiency and low dose narcotics can be tries. Take care.

I called again today, and she gave me a prescription for Requip (since there is a generic for it, and is less expensive than Mirapex). She started me on the starter pack. I take 1/2 of a .25 mg tablet for 4 days @ bedtime, then 1 full .50 tablet for 4 days @ bedtime, finally then 2 tablets 1 mg after that. I am concerened that since I have been taking 1 mg of Mirapex, that the dose of Requip won't be enough.

For some time now I've been feeling my bed shake. It feels like a little tremor, a kick to the bed or like some one moved in the bed. It is always during while I'm asleep or really relaxed close to falling asleep. I don't understand it. So right now I am currently taking ziprasidone 80 mg, chantix 1mg, topamax 50mg 3x day, and ropinirole for side effects 1 mg once a day. I can't believe I actually made it through the night last night. I had some psychosis and was up all night long, but laying and I had the shakes at first but I'm actually proud I made it through the night without popping that pill. Took my medicine this morning and slept for about 5 hours and no psychosis, hallucinations or anything.
