angiogram

429171 tn?1205560206 Hi doc, Thank your for your reply I really appreciate it. what is MR angiography?I had been going for physical therapy for more than 3 months now but it seemed it wasn't helping me.my neurosurgeon ordered for EMG/NCV for my left leg due to ankle jerk absent and it came on S1 abnormalities. But he told me when he ordered the 2nd mri he said the dics looks fine.which i'm still having the same pain and symptoms.
Avatar f tn Another modality that can be used to assess for aneurysm (other than MRA and angiography) is CT-angiography (CTA). This is a CT scan taken after a dye is injected through a peripheral IV. If the aneurysm is seen clearly, it may not need angiography and can be monitored serially with CTA. You should discuss your concerns and the options with your physician. By the way, why did you have the MRI/A performed?
Avatar m tn I have gone through another CT angiography, Please suggest what is LMCA Absent, is it risky? Please comment- Report Right coronary artery is dominant.LEFT CORONARY SYSTEM Left main – Absent. LAD and LCX are directly arising from left coronary sinus. LAD – Stent is seen in mid LAD. There is intimomedial thickening in proximal LAD with eccentric calcified plaque causing mild luminal narrowing. Rest of the LAD is normal in caliber and outline.
Avatar f tn this is known as off labeling...where a drug is intended for one purpose but used for another....in this case insomnia......
Avatar m tn Tests on the back of the eye B-scans, A-scans, OCT and fluorsciene angiography are affected by pupil size being more accurate in larger pupil. The other reason is the cornea is still changing as healing progresses. That's really all I can comment.
Avatar n tn He undergone Angiogram a couple of days ago and the report said that the Right Coronary Artery is 100% blocked. According to the Cardiologist, who performed Angiography, the blockage is old. But, my father has no pain (Angina), no fatigue and other common symptoms of Coronary Artery Disease. He’s perfectly alright. Also, his Left coronary artery is completely Normal and another Non-Dominant artery is 30% blocked, but, other parallel branches are normal.
Avatar m tn Please advise for my mother. She is 68 years old, short 147 cm height and heavy 77 kg. She has history of diabetes of 20 years with insulin from past 15 years. Single kidney for 12 years. Before angiography Creatinine value was 1.2. But generally her creatinine value remain below 1. Due to some Ayurveda medicines, it reached 1.2 recently. She recently started feeling palpitation between lower chest and feel short breathlessness after 500mtr walk. We did Angiography.
Avatar f tn My Grandmother has been detected with a blockage in heart, and its not getting well by the use of medicines. Her Doctor is suggesting Angiography now. Her age is 81 by now. I wanted to take other Doctors opinion about this case.
Avatar m tn you had an inferior wall myocardial infarction (IWMI). You now have a normal sinus rhythm (NSA) with a slightly decreased pump function of the heart (MILD LV DYSFUNCTION) The coronary angiography (CAG) shows that you have blockage in two coronary arteries So, you suffered a heart attack and are diagnosed with multiple vessel coronary artery disease (CAD).
Avatar m tn I had a similar type of exam recently due to problems with my retinaa. If what you had is the same exam, it is called 'Contact Lens Biomicrosopy.' In this procedure, after numbing the eye the doctor places a microscope-type lens directly on the front surface of the patient's eye. The eye will typically have been dilated first to allow the best possible view inside the eye.
Avatar f tn "Left Anterior Descending: Sub total occlusion below D1". This indicates the left ascending coronary artery has some blockage and a stent implant is recommended. The PCA is a cath interventional procedure that will stent and open the LAD. The stent procedure could have been done at the time of the angiogram...did your physical condition/reaction at the time of the test prevent doing a stent implant at the time? No other problems indicated on the report.
Avatar m tn It could be a blockage which is 90% or above so ANY exertion is going to cause a lot of discomfort. An echo is done when the patient is laying down, so there is no exertion. The same is with the EKG.
Avatar m tn It would take many hours to treat those blockages along with lots of risk. What would be useful is a full report which will also tell the cardiologist what he is dealing with. For example, the left anterior descending is totally blocked halfway down, so it must be getting a blood supply from somewhere. He has likely experienced collateral vessels opening up, to feed this artery from another one. This is like a natural bypass.
881091 tn?1242724466 Doctors say he will have to undergo an angioplasty and 3 stents will be required. i want to know what is an angioplasty and what is the success rate of this procedure? i found some cases on the internet in which stents have collapsed. is this possible??? is there any other method in which the blockage can be dissolved? if angiography has to be done which type of stent is to be used and why??
