Common Questions and Answers about What does cefprozil treat

cefzil

Avatar n tn Hello. My urethra is extrememly swollen and painfull. It is not a UTI, herpes or and STD just had my physical 6 weeks ago. It has been painfull off and on for 6 months. The first Dr. prescribed cefprozil. It didn't do anything. The second Dr. gave me an antifungal with anti-iflammatory cream. It helps slightly but everything is still extremely swollen. I am worried it might be something more serious? I have no discharge.
Avatar n tn My son who just turned 1 years old a few weeks ago has had stye like bumps on his eye lids for almost 5 weeks now. He actually has four, one on each lid and they are pretty close to the lids. I've been using topical eye ointment and warm compress for many weeks now and they sometimes appear to be getting better, then worse again and have not yet gone away. Now his lids are pretty swollen and red and I've started giving him oral anitbiotics (Cefprozil) which are prescribed for 10 days.
Avatar n tn I have been prescribed cefprozil and what is around my mouth does sound like it would be impetigo. How would I have developed this? As for the rest of my face, the swelling, rashing, itching, and burning... on eyelids cheeks and chin, would that be an effect of having impetigo as well? thanks for your help!
Avatar m tn I appreciate the info but in my case I didn't have the sore throat or other symptoms until 2 days after the encounter, which has me worried
1170641 tn?1263333023 Norfloxacin (they found out the bacteria was resistant to this), Apo-cefprozil, Nitrofurantoin - that was what I had tried for oral antibiotics. The nasty little bacteria that won't die is called klebsiella, they've found it in every single culture they've done of my urine. So they decided it was time for a drastic measure: IV antibiotics. I was on Ertapenem for 7 days intravenously, and that did not work at all.
Avatar f tn t think it was herpes but I definitely needed antibiotics and prescribed Cefprozil. I asked if I should be taking the Acylovir, and she said no. After a couple of days taking the Cefprozil the burning during urination stopped. That said, my lesions had then changed in appearance. I now had the yellowish fluid filled blisters in a few areas over reddish skin. My lymph nodes in my groin were also tender on one side. The area is sore to touch but not itchy yet.
Avatar f tn I have had a strange pain in my left arm and leg for about a week now. I originally went to the Dr.'s last week due to an ear ache in my left ear. I was given Apo-Cefprozil - two days later my leg felt weird ( by the achilles tendant) -I shrugged this off as I have recently began running a lot. The next day my toes were tingling and the pain was also in my arm ( feels like carpal tunnel). My first thought was that my medication was too strong (500 mg twice a day).
Avatar f tn Hello My husband has been suffering from something for 3 years now. There are many symptoms and I'm hoping someone can offer some insight as to what he should be asking and what he should be tested for. My hubby is 34 with no remarkable medical history. He used anabolic steroids briefly back in college.. That's about it. The onset of symptoms began about 3.5 years ago w the birth of our first son. Every couple of months he'd come down w flu like symptoms.
988694 tn?1332359479 If my problem (sex hormonal imbalance) does not resolve after been in my new dose for at least 5 or 6 months, does it mean that I am not in the right dose?
Avatar f tn Your doctor needs to run more testing - like free T3 and free T4 to determine what the thyroid is really doing. I hope your doctor puts on your medications to treat the hypothyroidism.
Avatar m tn I have 11 Cefprozil 500mg and 10 Clindamycin 150mg. Will these antibiotics help me? I've already begun drinking as much water as I can.
Avatar f tn is it better to treat now while the effects of the virus are minimal? What kind of drugs are they working on and are they going to be better than the interferon/ribovirin combo? At what point would he need to start treatment? When the viral load elevates or when if the enzymes elevate? Or is it just really up to him? I just don't want things to get worse and have him wishing he had done something about it now instead of when it gets worse.
458027 tn?1223609651 I was going to go through treatment but not entirely convinced that it was what I wanted to do. My dr says unless I am totally committed that he does not want to treat me. At present I have no problems except for joints that seem weak.
Avatar n tn What does it look like and what to use to treat it with over the counter treatments? This discussion is related to boils.
5864651 tn?1396931970 Because ive not bought myself anything or done anything since finding out im pregnant and been saving up my boyfriend is treating me to a pamper day of getting my nails done and my eyebrows and a massage just the little things like this shows he understands what im going through :)
963249 tn?1247190497 What is most important is the free t4 and free t3 results. What were his exact numbers with the lab ranges? Being in the "normal" range doesn't always mean normal. TSH shows pituitary function. Interesting to know if his free levels are low normal which can surely cause symptoms, and then you have the tsh over 3 for backup.
1093823 tn?1257341779 I keep getting different responses from physicians and my own research to the question, to treat or not to treat...I've experienced a sudden onset of fatigue with symptoms of anxiety and depression and my TPO antibodies resulted at 54, but my FT4 and TSH are "within normal limits", depending on which limits are considered 'normal'...that is also been debatable. If I'm symptomatic with TPO antibodies and other lab work has been normal, should this been treated with HRT?
Avatar f tn i suffer from ptsd from a life long history of being raped from the age of 4 and then throughout my teenage years, then my sister was murdered, and so much more... I don't think any of us on here can really suggest what meds you should take, only tell you what works for us. I take Seraquel. (if that's how u spell it) Unfortunately, the side effects on my body sucked!!! I gained about 100 lbs, over the first couple of years, but mentally I needed the meds, so that was the trade off.
