ve heard enough to strongly recommend you see a doctor. Money or not, you are young and this is the rest of your life. Seeing an MD isnt that expensive, its the tests they might want to run that are. Explain to the MD your situation, and honestly ask him/her what is most important to have done (if any). It could be absolutely nothing, but is it worth learning the hard way which it is? good luck!
My poor Leo, his front left leg and paw are very swollen! The story goes like this...
About a week ago he took a fall from our room while chasing squirles., Well the LEG was slightly swollen for just a little while. Maybe day and half. but then he was fine. walking,jumping, and chasing those dang squirles again. lol
I thought he was fine. Well today I get home from work and his poor leg and paw r so swollen. Im afraid he has broken it.
I just wanted to give an update on the stray who found us. Beckett is doing fantastic! When he first showed up on our back porch he was malnourished, a little dirty, had fleas & worms & ear infection, and a broken leg. We got him all checked out, got vaccines and medications, neuter, etc.
Well here's an update pic to show you how much he is filling out. I believe I have his "first pictures" in my profile still for comparison.
6 hrs later I got a call from the vet saying that they completed the surgery and when they took the last xray he went into cardiac arrest. I dropped the phone and that was the end of the conversation. This was 4 days ago and I haven't recieved another call. I have been heartbroken and was simply not able to call them to find out what happened with his body. I have also not paid for the surgery yet...

My body was telling me to lay down but i wanted to take a shower so that i can have a good sleep. Once i was in the shower, my legs started shaking so i knew i need to get out of the shower. Few minutes after that, i found myself on the floor with my right leg shaking as if i have a seizure or something. I was unable to reposition my leg so i had to wait until my leg stop shaking. I believe when i fall, i hurt the bone between my ***(buttock?).
So my kitten and my sisters puppy were playin about an hr ago, this is normal, but i did not see what happend, but my cat schreeched and the puppy ran from him, but he would not put weight on the leg, he let me pick him up and pet him and he started purring, and he laid down for a few and he is still hesitant to walk on it, but i felt all up and down the leg and he didnt meow or pull away, he just seemed unsure to let me touch it. I am just wondering if he is ok or should i take him to a vet?
I do not think that she has PATM, in fact, she has palpable skin problems in sight and touch, whereas, most PATMers do not have any skin-lesions, much less infections or diseases, which is why the doctors did not diagnose any disease, indeed, the PATMers do not get sick.
My 6 yr old female cat jumped from a tree branch about 5 ft high. She is always jumping up onto ledges or down from them, she jumps very high, always climbing trees, etc. Anyway, her front paw is now swollen and she will not walk on it, she limps all around. She does not seem to be in pain, she still goes up and down the steps and jumps on and off the furniture and beds, going to the food dish etc.
well she really should see a Vet for xrays to determine if the hip is broken, if this heals wrong she may never get the use of the leg back
but it could also be just badly bruised, perhaps some ligament damage(?) without an xray its hard for me to advise you.
if its only muscle injury, it will heal itself. but if its broken than she will have lasting damage.

I wanted him seen ASAP because of the broken rear leg. The x-rays showed that the injury was about a month old and that it was already healed. It wasn't just a little break but the femur was actually snapped off. In order to fix it, they'd have to do a surgery that costs over $1500. Or... amputation (around $450- including pain meds).
My question is--- do we HAVE to do anything? When we found him he wouldn't walk on the leg and I thought it was a new injury.
Yes, the CA can go up and down. The MD's will watch for a pattern of steadily rising #'s .. then when it gets too high, will do a scan to see if anything is happening. For now, enjoy your lives and live them to the fullest.
Reese's leg makes this crunching feeling when you touch/move it, the vet also said she felt that but said it was not broken bones. If not broken bones then what is it? And how long should I expect it to take to be better? I know with humans it can be around 6-8 wks....is it the same with animals?
