I have been prescribed Coumadin and have been reading about this drug on the internet and every site I've visited says a medical alert bracelet is essential. Unfortunately, in the country in which I'm currently living, pharmacists seem to think it's completely unnescessary. Who's right?
Given that yesterday he said to not take the warfarin he was changing me from the genertic warfarin and putting me on the brand name of the med coumadin. Said some folks do not tolerate warfarin well but do well on coumadin and i am to start the coumadin today. I would be lying if i didn't say i am a bit gunshy at this point. This med has made me absolutely miserable and today is my 43rd bday...
I have a situation. My 11 yr old hangs out with a very unsupervised 12 yr old. I have taken this 12 yr old friend into my home, fed him, clothed him, taken him to movies. I recently realized i was missing a bracelet from my jewelry box. It was brand new, never worn, moderately pricey. Now, this pass wk/e i took my 11 yr old son Sam with this 12 yr old to a movie and out for ice cream.
Well this blows.. failed a pee test for court now got this huge bracelet on my leg letting the whole world know I'm an alcoholic n it ***** cuz this is me n my hubby anniversary weekend n now I got this crap on my leg can't go swimming in the ocean now. I'm such q dumb ***.
I had an unprotected oral sex with a prostitute while she was wearing bracelet . Is there any possibility that she could transfer HIV to me or any other STDs?
Also, my friend had a protected sex with another prostitute, however he is afraid of skin transmitted diseases! Should he be afraid? and what advice could you offer to him to clear these issue?

Even though it hasnt been long to be diagnosed my mother has wanted me to get a MED ID bracelet to let people know that I had syncope issues but now that we know it is POTs also. In addition to that diagnosis I also have ASD, Autism Spectum Disorder, Aspergers syndrome. I dont want to have a med ID because I feel like im telling the world that im screwed up.
ve tried to read as much as I can about warfarin along the way. I even went to a day-long CEU workshop for medical professionals on warfarin management and got the certificate. But I'm still not an expert. To my way of thinking, the experts are the hematologists, pharmacists, and other health professionals who manage large numbers of people's warfarin on a daily basis.
3 days later (boxing day) I was rushed to hospital with chest pains and diagnosed with self imposed pulmonary embolism. I was put on to Warfarin and monitored in hospital for 2 weeks.
So My family is from trinidad & also Dominican republic , iv heard alot from my hispanic friends & family abt considering getting the evil eye (Red & black beaded bracelet , Or red & black beaded bracelet w/a red or black fist.)bracelet for me & also for the baby wen he's born?? Any additional info i need to knoe. Where can i get it , after i get it what do i do w/it? Dose i need to be blessed or anything. Any info you have will be VERY helpful.
t know how warfarin is affecting your life style. I have been on warfarin for years and had no concerns about running and bike riding, and using power wood working tools. All of these activities puts one at an increased risk of a cut and bleeding, but I simply take the risk. On the other hand, I don't sky dive, or pick fights ....
