Hi there, looking for insight on lifestyle habits to better manage bipolar and ADHD disorder. Taking 600mg of lithium and 30mg of vyvanse. Wondering what nutrition choices, sleep patterns and work loads people adopt to better manage there experences with or without the medication. Also looking for information on dealing with anxiety as a result of school stress and side effects from medication.
My son currently takes vyvanse for his adhd wich seems to be helping him alot in school,but he has been taking geodon and clonidine for about 6 weeks or so and he has become alot more aggressive once he vyvanse weres off he is totally out of control phyc says leave him on it since he gets good sleep but everything i a constant fight and he tears everything up wich he did prior to the meds but he just seems worse could he be taking the wrong mix of medicines or does it just take more time worried
I was diagnosed with ADD about a year ago. I am a 15, almost 16 year old boy. I tried a few different medicines, but none worked. I prefer medical marijuana but we finally found something that worked. Vyvanse. I'm not to sure about how this stuff works and I was curious on how it works. Does Vyvanse help depression? I tend to think poorly about the future and about working out. But when I take a 40-50mg pill, I feel happy, confident, focused and smart. Am I the only one who experiences this?
Two for the price of one. lol I tried Wellbutin and reacted quite poorly to it. It messed me up big time with my bipolar disorder, but for others I have heard rave reports. I haven't taken any other ADHD meds because I am scared they will mess with my bipolar meds. It is frustrating because I know I need some help. My motivation is poor and I am easily distracted. My husband teases me kindly. He calls it the 'oh look a shiny thing' syndrome.
I have started back Vyvanse last month at a low dose, it's not working like it should. I am 34 and in school so I need it to work. But what is a dose that helps the symptoms of ADD the best?
I take 60mg of geodon, 40mg of vyvanse everyday for bipolar 2 and adhd. For about the past year I have been unknowingly talking what I think out loud. I make involuntary sounds and get strange looks when in public. I only hear the thoughts in my head but I cannot tell when I am saying them out loud. It is very stressful and has caused me to avoid social interaction for fear of saying something wrong.

However, dr. Parker does recommend Celexa as it does not block the pathways for the stim meds. Point being that if you were taking Prozac or Paxil it would cause the mania. celexa should not. You might want to read the comments at the bottom of this link for more info.

Last June I had a breakdown and I was out of state a a physician I went to put me on seroquel, lexapro, and vyvanse....along with my klonopin. This seemed to be working, then he added Adderall and I was amazed at this. I felt "normal" for the first time in 30 years. I could think straight, and as time has gone by the depression has gone. I take 30 mg of this a day. Recently, since the insurance said they would not pay for Vyvanse and Adderall the Dr.
My first psychiatrist was very nice, however, after 2 years of treatment I was not getting better. She had diagnosed me with bipolar and had me on several medications.
My friend recommended a physiatrist that specializes in bipolar. I went to him for a second opinion. The consultation went very well. He stated that I did NOT have bipolar, but instead had an array of conditions. He gave me this list of conditions: A.D.
i have been diagnosed with ADhd but don't get treatment. I have asthma so I am on meds that aready make me shakey, and I have little annoying heart flutters that get worse with"speed" type meds. The heart flutters have been addressed and it isn't a real health issue. I am on low doses of valium 2 mg a day when needed, usually only use it at night to try to sleep. I was on Hydrocode for a while due to a health issue.
s also been some question as to whether or not my sibling also has comorbid bipolar disorder. My previous doctor thought I may have bipolar 2, so she put me on escitalopram and lamictal. I've since stopped talking the escitalopram, as the 2 SSRIs I've been on in the past have both seemed to "poop out", as has the lamictal to some extent. So, after a particularly nasty episode of depression, my new doctor started me on Remeron (mirtazapine).
The problem is that my doc prescribed me 60 30mg capsules so im trying to figure out how many 30 mg capsules is 70 mg vyvanse which i know that a 30mg vyvanse is 10mg adderall and 70 mg vyvanse is 30mg adderall.Is 7 30mg vyvanse capsules 70mg dose .I switched from taking 30mg adderall twice a day im going to have to call doc tommorroww.Any help in figuring this out .Thank you Im trying to get 70 mg vyvanse out of these 30mg capsules 1 70 mg or 1 60 is the right dose for me.
