Avatar m tn My 5 yr old daughter woke up Mon morning at 5:15 with vomiting. She was fine afterwards - ran no fever, energetic, and with appetite. She was fine til another vomiting episode occurred at 11 a.m. at which time I gave her Zofran and then she ate lunch. She had no more symptoms the rest of Monday or during the overnight hours. However, on Tues, she awakened with vomiting at 6:15 a.m. This time though, she is complaining of lower abd pain around her belly button...nothing severe...

Avatar n tn From what I know about antibiotics, it is not ok to drink beer or any alcohol with Doxycycline. It diminishes the effectiveness of the drug and makes it harder to treat the infection. I believe the Pharmacist will add the warning to the lable. If you seek further assistance, please Google " Doxycyline and alcohol" this will give you a pretty good idea of mixing the two.
Avatar n tn Now it is the dry hard stools. She weighs 15 lbs. Would a tablespoon or ? of pumpkin be helpful at each meal? Pumpkin was helpful in the past with my dalmations years ago for a similar problem. Thank you for your help.
Avatar n tn Is your dog eating? If so, then there has to be something a bit wrong, because if something is going in, something has to come out the other end! If you think your dog might have chewed something inedible (like a toy, furniture, stick, clothes, etc) there might be an intestinal blockage. Usually that would cause your dog pain, and vomiting most likely. So you would be able to tell your dog was sick. If he/she hasn't eaten anything, then there will be no pooping.
Avatar f tn I have a 3 year old dog that is believed to be having acid reflux. Her Vet did have her on Pepcid AC, but she was still having some issue's, so now she is on Prilosec. Here's the symptoms she was having: Acting like something was caught in her throat, gulping, licking her lips, burping, passing gas, not wanting to eat very much & then vomiting up yellow bile. (My dog is with me 24/7, & is NEVER out of my sight.

Avatar n tn Sounds like blood from an ulcer, but there is no way to tell on an internet forum. See a doctor. Whether you're an alcoholic or not, drinking to excess becomes more dangerous as we get older. You're not old, but you're not a kid anymore either. Can you drink in smaller quantities and stick with beer & wine? If you're drinking to the stage of blackouts or passing out, then you may have more of a problem than you believe.
Avatar f tn If she will eat for you, small amounts of plain yogurt can be helpful with modest amounts of canned pumpkin. Sometimes baby food can help a dog get back on track with their eating, as long as they are not vomiting.

Avatar m tn My symptoms (upset stomach, constipation and/or diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, abdominal pain, bloating, hot and cold, shakiness) are the worst when I drink beer which makes me think it may be linked with celiac intolerance. Even if I stay hydrated and only drink a couple of beers I have an extremely upset stomach. Could it be that I am intolerant to gluten or could it be something worse such as liver disease?
Avatar m tn What Should I do after self-induced vomiting?! I just self-induced vomited, the continuation of a series of the same. I have read on the Internet, and in books that it is extremely bad for the body! I DON"T WANT ANY PERMANENT OR IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE TO MY BRAIN OR BODY! I've just cooked and eaten some Heinz's organic potassium-containing baby food bought from the local supermarket- pumpkin, sweet potato, beef, etc, and also eaten a Nutrilite Double X multivitamin and multisupplement.
Avatar n tn all 10 felt nausea immediately after. A few with very forceful unvoluntary vomiting. Everybody were fine again after having vomited. My question is what can have caused this. this is the first incident of any kind for this kitchen. It is clean butthe understanding of the kitchenworkers of hygieje can improve. Can the reason be that the pumpkin was not ripe enough? The reaction could sound a bit like a reaction from green potatoes? or?
4105678 tn?1356545271 Ok im suffering from nausea nd vomiting badly at 7 wks nd 1day so I read about ginger beer helping with morning sickness so I went to Giants and bout sum for $3 it doesn't contain acohol. Has anyone tried or heard bout anyone trying it for morning sickness nd nausea?
16245546 tn?1446417352 I am sure you aren't still looking for an answer, but, I thought I would leave my answer for further reference to anyone who may look here for one. Canned pumpkin! Organic is best & you can buy it @ Walmart, as Great Value carries it. (Not pumpkin pie filling, just pumpkin.) It works both ways, for diarrhea & constipation. Just mix a little in their food while they are in need of it. If they like it, it is good for them to have anytime.

892497 tn?1241811065 vomiting, or attempting to vomit, or retching/ lethargy / shaking, or shivering / 'hunching' her back with her tail between her legs / sleeping a lot and not wanting to get up.....then take her to the ER vet as soon as possible. Even if it's just constipation, she will need some prescribed laxative. But she will need a thorough assessment first, to make sure laxatives are appropriate.
