voltaren gel for tendonitis

Lately I have been putting Voltaren gel on my forehead. I'm doing this to soothe pain from inflammation caused by increased circulation from running a lot. Is this ok? I know it takes away pain, reduces inflammation, and increases blood circulation. Also I got the blood flowing through some decadent veins and arteries on my skull. It is really annoying but gets better everyday. What do you think?

Going to pcp this morning. Just finished levaquin for 3 weeks, didn't seem to touch my sinus infection. Feeling pain in my back like i did last year when i had pneumonia. So tired. Face/eyes swollen, ent said try claritin, so took that this morning and f/u with ent next week. Need refills of lortab and compazine from pcp, feel like a druggie.

I have a shoulder problem and used to be on strong pain killers, but my doctor told me to change to heat rubs!

Has anyone tried biofreeze? This is an over the counter gel geared for sore muscles and aches. Someone at church has a similar injury as me and swears by this gel. This gel also has really good reviews on amazon.com too. I hope this helps with the muscle spasms I have since I can not take a muscle relaxer. It will get it through the mail on Wednsday next week. Anyone here use this?

Normally, blood thinners are also not used with Nsaids. So, speak with your doctor, of course, but would advise not to use these together based on the provided information.

Two days ago my rheumatologist stared me on Voltaren and I am pain free for the first time in one year....I am afaid to get my hopes up as this seems too good to be true....I know this mediation can be hard on the stomach so I am going to make sure that I always take it with food...so far I feel great all the way around but it is only 2 days....Comments anyone ? ...Thank you..

Mobic 15mgs has worked very well for my severe ankle tibial tendonitis and moderate arthritis coupled with physical therapy which helped restore my range of motion which was 60% lost at the time of therapy. However, the tendonitis can not be helped any furthe (I wear orthotics _ high top sneakrs and a splint brace to sleep at night) The mobic helps the arthritis alot for me & I've been on it 1.5yrs with normal blood labs.

Hi folks! Have any of you used Diclofenac or Voltarin Gel for relief from general pain on thighs, etc.(and other large areas ... LOL? What was your experience? Did it actually relieve any of your pain? I've used the tablet form, but it made me sick to my stomach. Is this likely to do the same? Thanks for your help.

ve been putting them on my lower back and it is the only thing that eased up the pain for me. The Gel is awesome too. It is a clear gel....little bit sticky...but if you use it daily it really helps a lot. Basically I use the patch for nighttime and the gel for daytime (you reapply every 4 hours or so). Talk to your doc...the patches are generic now so inexpensive...I'm not sure if the gel is generic yet either....but I gotta tell you are worth the money.

There was even a tingling sensation from above the knee cap down to the shin (left lateral). My GP diagnosed it as tendonitis and bursitis of the quadriceps tendon. He prescribed voltaren and told me to avoid jogging, walking extensively, walking up the stairs or slopes. I had a mri done that showed I have tendonitis in my left shoulder. I can't raise my left arm up very high which makes washing my hair or brushing it extremely hard. I know I have bulging disc in c5 and c6 with nerve root damage in both. I could raise my arm before they found the tendonitis tho. I can't reach behind me with it either. It just won't move. This has added to the severe pain I already had. I am currently taking hydrocodone apap and zoloft as my meds.

I find that they both help. Voltaren Gel has not been very effective for me but I know it has been for others as Runningmom attests.

Lidoderm Patches (they are generic now) and Voltaren Gel. The Lidoderm works by letting small amounts of the same numbing agent they give you when they work on your teeth. You can wear 12 hours on/12 hours off. The 12 hour off the Voltaren Gel would work also. Hope that helps!

t then they gave me custom made innersoles that were supposed to correct my feet they were very uncomfortable for the first week or so but i got used to them and after using them for 3 or 4 months i started to develop burning pain under both my feet i am not 100% sure that it was the custom made innersoles but thats what i think it was that caused the burning pain i try not to use anti inflammatory pills instead i use cream voltaren emu-gel or if iam at home i use bucket with cold water or wit

I have been taking nsaids for along time now. and nothing has helped. I have also used Voltaren gel, Lyrica, topamax nothing has helped the pain I am having in my wrist.

ve done / am still doing PT, ICE, Tens, Heat, voltaren gel and I still have no long term relief. I have had one cortisone short 9 months ago and it worked for a short period of time. Here are the findings of the MRI (actual summary attached) 1. Moderate sized left elbow joint effusion. Effusion is swelling within a joint. 2. There is a 12mm sized area of edema involving the common extensor tendon, compatible with lateral epicondylitis. Edema is swelling that occurs outside a joint.

hmmm....that's what I'm worried about with it. Definately not what I want to find out on my trip. :) I will try it, but jumpy is not what I want to add to my anxiety issues! I also ready that Cymbalta helps with Dopamine and Savella doesn't. And my understanding is that Dopamine helps with pain. Interesting. well, he didnt say anything at al he just gaveme the voltare, i took a glucose and insulin test and they all came back great. one other thing is that, ther was a time i went to the gym, and it as the firs time after a long time so i think i pulled a hampstring but i got better and then foot started. mt last two toes were the ones inflamed.
