The reason my brother needed to take pain medication was because he received a broken neck which occurred during a fight between him and his partner and another guest at the house. He was pushed or struck and fell back and hit his head on an object in his garage.

I had a DVT that went through my heart and into my lungs(PE).
A valve was damaged, also one chanber of my heart.
My problem is that I wasn't diagnosed as a "heart attack", but rather a "pulmonary embolism", and the lawyers representing me in my vioxx lawsuit say it has to be a heart attack, not a PE.
Isn't a heart attack part of a PE? Rather, did I suffer a heart attack as well as a pulmonary embolism?
There was no money exchanged or special consideration given to get Vioxx on the market. However, Vioxx is a good example of a study not digging deep enough into long term effects of a new drug. Vioxx was introduced in 1999 and was originally thought of as a treatment for polyps in the intestinal track.
I aggree with everything you just said. I will continue to "gently" encourage, although I fear it will not have the desired effect. My friend is convinced that his father is the only medical person who can help him. I just hope they are open and honest enough with eachother to eventually get the situation under control. When I last had this disscussion with him he accused me of questioning his father's ethics, which I had no intention of doing, of course.

I am a supervisor at a major retail pharmacy, and there are major ethics violations going on that is leading to my store manager quitting, the assistant quitting, and all the supervisors in the store getting put on the chopping block.
The worst part is: the ethics violations are being done against us. The district manager hates our store, and has been on a warpath vendeta against the store manager for a while... which has lead to the guy having a heart attack and major surgery on his heart.
She is and has always been a selfish, self-absorbed, lying, scheming, person with no ethics. She had two daughters with my brother. Prior to that, she had a son when she was a teenager and gave the baby up to live with his paternal grandmother. All children are basically adults now. The two daughters are now aware that this disease runs in the family and they have a chance of getting it. The son knows nothing of this and there is no relationship between he and his mother.
