Recently I used some viagra two hours before an encounter with my date. I started drinking after the taking the Viagra. The viagra did not work....I took another one and waited awhile and it still didn't work...I took one more and waited a while with no results.... I have used alcohol with viagra before and I performed well. Can someone tell what the issue might be...Its puzzling because I don't know why it didn't work. OK for me, I was given Viagra here in Greece when a was told all that I had was anxiety, its great when your told that, without any examination, and then given Viagra without any tests of any kind, all this I found out later of line, and after this decided that I then needed to find my own way out of ED if I could, the one thing if you start looking is DHEA comes up a lot of the time, so did research into it and asked on a couple of forums for info, for or against.
I mentioned to her that I had read somewhere that if you have Retinitis Pigmentosa, viagra (or other ED pills) are not recommended. She told me she was goign to look into it.

But in the future, if you ever need help with ED, please see you regular Dr first, and possibly a Urologist as well - ED can also be an early sign of cardiovascular disease, so you should be thoroughly checked out before getting a prescription. The Dr needs to know why you're having this issue & whether a Rx for Viagra, Cialis or Levitra would be warranted...

I had prostate surgery in the form of a TURP and resection of the bladderneck in 1995 at the age of 30. In 1999 I first started having problems with ED. My urologist at the time prescribed Viagra which did not realy work. I did not really have any success with Cialis either.
In 2003 I was seen by a urologist who specialized in ED as a part of a health clinic examination for a neurological problem that I was being seen for.
I don't take any medications and haven't for a while. I don't remember which medications I took when I was younger but I've only been diagnosed with ADHD and Dyslexia although I experience depressive symptoms very often. Currently, I'm not in the right situation to speak with a doctor regarding my issues although I have in the past and was given a prescription for Viagra; some of which I still possess.
Definitely check in with your health care provider before using viagra and heart medication. Viagra was accidentally discovered to work for ED when being studied for it's affects on the heart. They always ask you if you are taking this. Men taking ED medications can not take nitrates as a general rule.

I have attempted sex with an old high school girlfriend since I started having the ED, I find her sexually stimulating.....but, even with Viagra up to 100 mg., I cannot achieve a fully rigid erection sufficient for penetration. I do not have ED, but about a 18 months ago, I read that Viagra was even helpful for those with no ED but wanted to feel like 18 again (I'm 44). So I go some and tried (never a full dose). I would use about a third of a 100mg pill. Yes, I did feel like 18 and my wife loved it. So, I continued usage here and there over the course of time. I also masturbate frequently (but don't use viagra at those times).
