16087137 tn?1445209323 I started taking Viagra with a prescription after my prostate cancer surgery about two years ago. It really worked well but wasn't covered under my new insurance at all after I retired and I think a months supply from Walgreens or CVS (my local pharmacies) cost around $3-$400 per month. I'm not making alot of money right now, and when I mentioned that to my Dr. he unofficially assured me about generic versions made in Canada, that can legally ship to the US.

Avatar n tn Viagra and Levitra are the two FDA (Food and Drugs Administration) approved anti-impotence drugs that are indeed effective in helping men.Viagra needs no introduction! Pfizer's wonder drug, sildenafil, better known as Viagra, is the trusted treatment for male impotence problems.
362971 tn?1201987034 Has anyone heard of or seen any studies about any drugs affecting viral load? I was wondering what other people have heard. I saw somewhere on a post on this Forum that they took Viagra during treatment. because of its affects on them. I took it occasionally myself because during treatment my HGB was so low I think it affected me. Anyway it helped and I was wondering if it could affect my chances of SVR. Here is a link I found and what this person has to say about it.
Avatar f tn RRMS is the preferred drug target and so all drugs marketed are for that favor of MS. These RRMS drugs have no effect on the progressive form of the disease. Taking Viagra is worth a try if taken with caution. Many people already self medicate by taking vitamins and/or supplements. You also need to be careful taking vitamins. As long as you are careful, then trying Viagra which has a very good safely record is worth a try.
Avatar m tn In other words, would I be safe if I did not take L-Arginine on the day I took Viagra? Or, do I have to stop taking L-Arginine completely if I am going to occasionally take Viagra (i.e. take Viagra once a week)? Thank you for your response.
Avatar m tn i have been using generic drugs for long time.i tried brand and generic drugs. Both results are same but generic is much cheaper than branded. there are some minor side effects like headache etc. but overall safe. I recommended to use generic drugs. Google it to find cheap drugs. i do buy from www.a2zepharma.com. you can try from it. Good luck!
Avatar m tn That is because Viagra was a mixture of compounds put together in a drug company to give help to angina sufferers, but the very noticeable side effect was seen. However, they re-branded it for the purpose we see today.
Avatar f tn The patients taking alpha blockers may use Viagra only after stabilizing of hemodynamic indexes. And lastly, certain drugs for cardiac disease may interact with Viagra, and if you are using them you should avoid it. The drugs are: Calcium channel blockers like Amlodipine (Norvasc). Concomitant use of Amlodipine and Viagra may cause lowering of blood pressure. Alpha blockers like doxazosin (Cardura®), prazosin (Minipress®), and terazosin (Hytrin®).

Avatar m tn I am not aware of Viagra being a contraindication when you have RP. Google it. Dr. O.
Avatar m tn Overall I'm happy with viagra but sometimes its 5-hour window is simply too short. Sometimes I need the longer lasting window of cialis. Is it safe to take viagra and cialis based on how long you want the time-window to be? For example I'm literally considering taking viagra during some weeknights and 1 cialis pill to cover the weekends. As long as I dont overlap the dosages (i.e. take one while the other is still in me) is this ok?
Avatar n tn Yes is the anwser, all meds for ED do this even herbal, you need to take a brake from Viagra, its best if you can find any of the other ED drugs and then rotate them, or change over to herbs, you could try the 5Gs, just google it and look for pegym, or google DRUGS VESUS HERBS, HERBS MY CHOICE, and follow the instructions that you find, its how I got over ED and now in recovery, but even with these I take a brake for a week and take for 5 out of 7 days, it works and it has to be come a way of li
541953 tn?1262586226 I work in a hospital where I see tons of people who come in with prescription drug addictions and the internet is one of the first places they can go to now when their docs will no longer fill RXs. From vicodin, sleeping pills, Viagra, tylenol #3, oxycotin, weight loss pills, steroids, it's all readily available for anyone. I've done some research online for the hospital and found out that it's very easy to get.
Avatar m tn First of all, you should see a urologist. There may be some underlying organic cause that you're not aware of and only a doctor can help with you that. If this is in fact a case of psychological ED, there are several solutions available. PDE-5 inhibitors are very effective, even in cases of psychogenic ED. Viagra, Cialis and Levitra can improve your erections and make you more confident. Don't expect any miracles, though.
Avatar n tn Hi, How are you? Unless advised by a physician drugs like cialis, Viagra should not be taken. Many a times it is the emotional factor which might cause ED. Coming to cialis before starting treatment with this you need to rule out contraindications like liver failure, coronary artery disease, visual disorders etc. But in no way it can be implicated as the cause of infections.
Avatar m tn All 3 of the ED drugs are affective; I get the best results when I take a Cialis and a Viagra; My Urologist told me it would be OK; I recommend talking with your Dr about this before trying it; It works great for me and I feel like the energizer bunny!
Avatar m tn Lose weight (there are several studies that show that obesity is a major cause of ED), stop smoking, get some exercise. Oral drugs are very effective but they should be taken under the supervision of a doctor. There are only two types of oral drugs that really work: PDE-5 inhibitors (Viagra, Cialis, Levitra) and VIGAMED (oral phentolamine). Everything else (incl. 'herbal' supplements) is useless and a complete waste of money.
Avatar f tn per day. I do not do any drugs, so I have a difficult time being able to tell what is normal and/or side effects of drug abuse. I have noticed in the last week (during his tapering off), his moodiness has returned, and he is not being as affectionate as he was being while on the Sub. As far as our sex life, it seems to be almost non-existant. Could Viagra be an option, or is that just adding another drug to the mix which really isn't needed at this time?
Avatar m tn Although rare, Viagra (sildenafil), Cialis (tadalafil) and Levitra (vardenafil) can cause muscle pain and unusual skin sensations or paresthesia. In clinical studies, Viagra caused muscle pain and paresthesia in less than 2% of patients. Patients who experience these side effects should stop taking the medication and consult their physician. These medications increase blood flow to the penis by inhibiting the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5).
Avatar f tn ) I should have indicated it is my husband who is taking heart meds that discourage taking viagra. Carvedilol strengthens the heart muscle while viagra dilates the blood vessels to allow more blood to flow. The two drugs would work against one another. I am just trying to find out if occasional use of viagra would be safe or a risk to take.
