Avatar f tn t do either, he needs to come clean with the church. To NOT to, like SM said, is a a MAJOR deception to the congregation, and the church. YOU should have NEVER sought him out in any fashion. Even if you were innocently spending time with him socially at first (which is pretty inappropriate), the SECOND you realized there was something going on there, you should have left the church, and walked away from him.
Avatar n tn I'm kind of just venting but I've worked in my church for many years doing all that I thought was right in the Lord and their sight. Now I'm pregnant and all the support I gave, all of the hard work just seems to be in vain. I continue to pray about it and on the inside I feel at peace about the baby and pregnancy even though my baby father and I are just engaged. But why can't people understand or at least acknowledge all I've done.. I feel so unappreciated by church folk.
8894496 tn?1400933529 1 god parent has to be roman catholic and have a letter from their church saying they have been a practicing catholic for the past 6 months and the other god parent has to be at least christian. Here is the problem..... He cannot get a letter because he doesn't go to church and she is not christian! So I had to break the news to her and tell her that I was going to have my parents do it but I want her to still feel like this babies godmother so that can be something we know between us.
Avatar f tn I go to a Christian church and some of the people be really feeling the spirit but I never have I just watch the people that do
148588 tn?1465778809 Experts on the Catholic Church said the letter represents only a small minority of the church, and that it is unlikely to be met with any response from Francis. Massimo Faggioli, a professor at Villanova University’s Department of Theology and Religious Studies, said the signatories represent a “tiny, extreme fringe of the opposition to Francis” and do not include any cardinals or bishops with formal standing in the Catholic Church.
4043310 tn?1355912647 Im not even a mum yet and mine and my boyfriends parenting styles are some what different, an issue has already arised, today I told my boyfriend my cousin was going to be god mum and he could pick the god father, I didnt reliease my boyfriend had no intensions of giving our girl a relgion, im catholic and I want my girl to be catholic, I told him she doesnt have to go to church because I dont even go ti church but I want her to be catholic, and he doesnt want her to have a belief forced on her
Avatar f tn I can tell you that the Catholic Churches stance on these issues is the reason I left the Catholic Church. And there is a movement inside the Church to make changes and, as they put it, "come into this century". It's a real interesting debate.
Avatar f tn So, me and my husband are very happily married and are expecting our first child Sep 23. He is Catholic and lm christian, we both decide to go to a non denominational church a few minutes from our house . once his mother found out that we were going to attend to attacked me and yelled at me and was very rude to me. My husband spoken with his mom and told her she never talk to me like that ever again and told her she needed to apologies. She called and apologies but it was not sincere at all...
341551 tn?1266980730 s not very religious at all, but when we got married we got soo many offers (even 2 weeks before the wedding) to get married in the Catholic church and I said no and we did a nice ceremony with a judge, so that basically let them know that that's it for me and the church. So everyone else sort of knows and expects me not to be religious but baptism is a different story, they can't see past it.
Avatar f tn The only thing is--- he has very conservative views on social matters and for the first time in all my years of being catholic things like Gays are sinners, abortion is murder, gender confused people will not go to heaven is being stated DURING church services. That's not ever happened in the past. And readings and lessons are being focused on those subjects. so, yes.
Avatar f tn by "married in the church" I did not mean the building, I meant the religion. if you are Catholic and want your marriage to be recognized by the church, you either need a.special dispensation from a bishop to marry outside the faith/get married in a place other than the church but in the presence of the Eucharist/etc. or you need to marry another Catholic in the church.
Avatar f tn The New Testament contains several examples of Jesus casting out evil spirits from people, and the church notes these acts in the Catholic Catechism. Whether or not individual Catholics realize it, each of them undergoes what the church calls a minor exorcism at baptism that includes prayers renouncing Satan and seeking freedom from original sin.
Avatar f tn The belief that Jesus was not married is one reason priests in the Catholic Church must remain celibate and are not allowed to marry. It could also have implications for women’s roles in the church, as it would mean Jesus had a female disciple. For centuries, there has been debate about the possibility that Jesus was married, with many believing he might have had a relationship with Mary Magdalene, who is mentioned prominently in the New Testament.
Avatar f tn Well I was baptized raised Catholic and Still follow the religion went thrpugh all the classes so I can get married by the church but everyone has there own beliefs n that's what GOD accepts we r all under his arm. So how ever or which ever u belive GOd Jesus Mary everyone is being watched over and blessed.I think....
Avatar n tn Natural Family Planning is a course required for married couples in the Catholic Church that teaches women how to monitor their bodies to keep track of fertility/infertility, so couples can have sex without any contraception. NFP is very invasive and makes me as a woman feel more like a lab rat than a lover. I was wondering if any other women have figured out ways to know when they are fertile or infertile without the detailed charts and invasive measurements and temperature readings.
Avatar f tn I am christian and believe in Jesus Christ. But me and my boyfriend do not attend church on the regular nor are we members of a church. His mother is pressuring me to get my baby baptized as soon as she is born I dont feel like that is something I should do since I'm currently not living Christ like. Idk how to tell her without hurting her feelings she even spent 30$ on a hand made christening outfit. She's my child it should be my decision right?

Avatar f tn You may have to call a larger catholic church in your area to get the help you need. Good luck and God bless.
Avatar m tn I do not know much about politics about Catholic and gay people. Local medicos can give you correct answer. we have one doctor who can advise you on this matter. For erectile dysfunction, i may suggest some exercise which you may do it they resonate with you. Male Deer exercise, kegel exercise, anal peripheral prostate massage, Sat kriya, Yoga Bandhas( yoga energy locks), kundalini yoga. You may google these phrases and visit the websites.
Avatar m tn I have more issues when the service lets out and people start clogging up the aisles and pathways to chat... The chatter can get bothersome. In that case I either put up with it, seek out a quieter space, or ask my parents/grandma politely if we can leave, that I'm getting tired or stressed out. Singing: I have issues finding the right hymn, reading the music and keeping pace with everyone else… Unless the words are printed out on a screen, I usually just keep quiet and listen.
148588 tn?1465778809 After a conversation with a Catholic friend who is very unhappy with the turn of events in the Church as well as Mike's post, I cannot help but reconsider my strong statement for Pope Francis. While the public persona is charming, the way Pope Francis insists on driving his little bucket around town, prepares his own meals and washes the feet of the poor, there is apparently something else rising in the Church which for me is rather disturbing.
Avatar f tn Have you checked sitter city.com or called a local church? My local Catholic Church helped me a lot and I'm not even catholic.
4043310 tn?1355912647 Yes I understand u... Avatar f tn Ah I see. I've never been baptized, I use to go to church but its been forever, I was young. I think that's a noble decision abigailsmomma. My dad was baptized Catholic and decided as an adult he didn't want to be with the Catholic church anymore and went with a non denominational church and was baptized by them.
