Avatar m tn Although rarer, some males exhibit no refractory period or a refractory period lasting less than 10 seconds. A scientific study attempting to document natural, fully ejaculatory, multiple orgasms in an adult man was conducted at Rutgers University in 1995. During the study, six fully ejaculatory orgasms were experienced in 36 minutes, with no apparent refractory period. Later, P. Haake et al. reported a single male producing multiple orgasms without elevated prolactin response.
17995067 tn?1462167674 to the best of my knowledge, there is no such thing as generic Viagra. Viagra is a cash cow for Phiser, and ten years ago a SINGLE pill was 10 dollars, NOW a single bill is 30 Dollars. Every time the time period lapses for this drug to qualify for generic, they tie it up with paperwork-refile with a slight change to keep the generic out of it. If you are getting something from outside the us, it is likely not Viagra at all.
Avatar m tn Most men experience a refractory period immediately following an orgasm, during which time they are unable to achieve another erection, and a longer period again before they are capable of achieving another ejaculation. The duration of the refractory period varies considerably, even for a given individual. Age affects the recovery time, with younger men typically recovering faster than older men. Stress can also be a contributing factor to both erectile function and premature ejaculation.
Avatar m tn It has helped but it has not solved the problem. I went to my doctor and he gave me a prescription for Viagra, 50 mg. My question is this: Is it safe to occasionally take Viagra if I also take L-Arginine? Are there are any potential contra indications in that Viagra should not be taken by a person who takes L-Arginine? If so, is the contraindication just for that day? In other words, would I be safe if I did not take L-Arginine on the day I took Viagra?
Avatar f tn So it has nothing to do with MS. Viagra increases blood flow and it helps a lot. It will drop your blood pressure and you don't want it to drop to a dangerous level, so you need to monitor it. Start with the minimum effective dose which is 25mg and see if it does something for you. If you wait for a study from the FDA on Viagra for MS, then it will probably happen after you are dead. Please try this now. Viagra has a very good safety profile for a number of years now.
Avatar m tn i tried not masterbating for a week but with no positive effect and the refractory period has elongated drastically. i also notice some watery secretion about a few seconds after ejaculating. is this reversible if yes how? pls help thanx.
Avatar m tn Please do more web searches and DO NOT use Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra. I also have RP and ED. I bought L-arginine/Orinithine but am wary about using until I read that it's ok. Blood flow changes seem to be very bad to already bad retinal cells.

Avatar m tn Ive also been tested for HIV so I know thats not an issue and I protect myself while having sex. But I think there may be a correlation between using viagra and my outbreaks. Any ideas?
Avatar n tn Maybe you were more active during sexual intercourse than usual or had more episodes in this two day period and caused some mild local trauma. What you describe about your penile anatomy does not sound abnormal. I think that you should leave you penis at rest for another week (no sexual intercourse, no masturbating) and see how the pain progresses. If it resolves, I think that you'll be fine. If it persists, then see a urologist. S.A.Liroff, M.D.

Avatar n tn About 20-years ago my doctor put me on beta-blockers (atenelol) for palpitations and accompanying anxiety attacks. I believe it is not supposed to be taken more than a certain period of time. I was on it for probably two years. Thereafter I got so I couldn’t maintain an erection during sex. I tried Viagra when it first became available, but it just caused a burning in my prostate area and a short-lived partial stiffening.

Avatar f tn Hi, Yes, it is natural with many men, they do have a refractory period to get back to form after an ejaculation. In fact, they switch from a climax during ejaculation to an anticlimax following it so that they can not enjoy any sex immediately. If you Google for 'refractory period after male orgasm ', you will get more details. I believe, it is the way the body is ensuring that the males do not lose vital body fluids from their body by ejaculating too often.
Avatar m tn The typical symptoms of prostatitis are fever, pelvic, testicle, or rectal pain, frequent and painful urination and ejaculation and incomplete emptying of bladder. You should get your PSA levels and cystoscopy for further evaluation. Discuss this with your doctor for proper management. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar m tn That is because Viagra was a mixture of compounds put together in a drug company to give help to angina sufferers, but the very noticeable side effect was seen. However, they re-branded it for the purpose we see today.
Avatar n tn Definitely check in with your health care provider before using viagra and heart medication. Viagra was accidentally discovered to work for ED when being studied for it's affects on the heart. They always ask you if you are taking this. Men taking ED medications can not take nitrates as a general rule.
Avatar m tn I do not believe this was caused by Viagra. It usually causes a vascular problem. The new onset of floater should be considered an urgent condition. It is may be associated with retinal tears and subsequent retinal detachment. Dr. O.
Avatar f tn She was admitted to the hospital with peripheral edema and ascites. She was having a hard time breathing, and hadn't walked in 2 months due to the severe edema in her legs. After some extensive testing, she admitted she has CHF now. At her stage of cirrhosis, could this considered refractory chf? Avatar m tn There are other causes of ED, and you should make sure you are getting enough exercise and not smoking. Erections require the right nerve impulses and vascular supply, and exercise is good for the vascular system. If you don't have diabetes, then be assured that Viagra would probably restore your erections if you needed them back. In fact, if you keep your blood sugar down, even with diabetes, Viagra might work, but maybe not as well. Sorry about your marriage.
