Well, your ejection fraction is definitely low and the only method to ensure it remains the same or actually increases is by using drugs like ace inhibitors, digoxin etc. One also needs to ensure that the salt & fluid consumption is within limits as that also tend to aggravate the CHF. One has to ensure that the blood pressure, heart rate & lipids are kept under control. Please do consult your cardiologist also.I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
Question: Was your wife on ACE inhibitors (blood pressure drug) when she became septic? I am wondering as that was all I could find, seems like it might have something to do with kidney failure?

As far as the erection is concerned, I suspect this is not related to the bupropion. Have you tried one of the PDE5 inhibitors (i.e., Viagra, Levitra, Cialis)?

We recommend in your case to work with your doctor. They are not concerned about kidney disease? Calcium channel blockers work well for hypertension and is it controlling this for you? I would speak to your doctor regarding your concerns and if switching classes of medications makes sense in your case.
I am a 55 years old female and I was jogging regularly. I had my first MI on 07/20/2010. As I was taken to the ER 12 hours after symptoms, infarction of the anterior wall & septum had already evolved. My angio showed double vessel disease - LAD 100% & RCA 70% blockage. I had 2 stents, one for each artery on 07/28/2010. My ejection fraction was 39%. I was confined to my home not getting much sleep.
I had a consultation with my cardiologist on 08/20/2010. The ECHO shows “LV dilated.
