The urine culture always came out negative but even then I have taken oflaxcin for 6 weeks and then Bectrin DS for 4 weeks. Antibiotics help for a while but then cause more problems like stomach pain and cramps. I had leukocytes in the urine but the culture was negative.
I have been on flomax (0.4)mg but the urge to urinate was there all the time so my doctor added (Vesicare 5mg).
I'm using Vesicare and Lyrica and I just got my urinalysis result and they're normal. Can Vesicare and Lyrica affect urinalysis? Are they antibiotics?
I was put on Vesicare 5 mg daily and also was taking fluoxetine for depression and anxiety over this condition. After taking the meds for awhile my symptoms went away and I was symptom free for 3 years. Because of the expense of the vesicare and because I was doing so well. I decided to stop taking both medications. My bladder was fine and normal and then about a year later the symtoms came back. So I am now back on the vesicare and the fluoxetine.
does anyone get headaches from taking vesicare?? They seen to go away with advil. Anyone had these symptons, did they lessen with longer use of vesicare??

Ok here goes: I'm 28/female, pretty healthy ... on 10/6, about 1 week before I was to leave for Vegas I was extremely nervous about flying. Out of the blue I started having frequent urination problems. No urgency (meaning I could hold it if I had too) but just frequent trips to the bathroom. No real pain or anything. I have an underlying anxiety disorder that is not controlled and I did start to panic about these symptoms which in turn probably made them worse.
So I been kind of depressed, and 5 neuros later I think Im giving up trying to find a dx. The PTC doesnt explain all my other sx. Anyway, I had started on the Vesicare 10mg, for my overactive bladder. Well it appeared to be working, so when I saw my urologist, I told him for the most part it is working. Before I started the Diamox, my bladder kinda went back to the old dysfunctional way.
Oh how sorry I am that the bladder urgency is back as well as the spasms.
I do not know a lot about Vesicare but just thinking out loud.......I wonder if it helps
with the burning because it helps with the urgency and perhaps (some leakage) and urine is / can be quite acidic /irritating and that may be what is causing the burning in the private parts. While you are taking it the sx go away because you no longer have the urgency / spasms??? so no leakage = no burning??
Started me on Levaquin 500mg PO QD x 7 days and Vesicare 10mg PO QD.The cyst went down but the pain around the epdidymis persisted w/ no change. After 4 weeks of Vesicare I still have no change in my nocturia. I had an ultrasound of my bladder, testicles, kidneys all normal. I then had a cystoscopy done which showed no abnormalities besides a tight sphincter. My urologist told me to continue the Vesicare which I have been doing.
which meant I had to return to my urologist....He gave me elmiron and vesicare to treat the IC....the Elmiron never helped my pain and, the Vesicare took my blood pressure from 113/72 pulse 68 to 153/103 pulse 122...I contacted my urologist and, he stated...that's not true ... neither of these meds would cause your blood pressure to go up...well, I called him back four days later...
So here I am on day 3 of Vesicare. Anyone have experience with this? I feel like since on it my frequency is actually up a bit. I was told to give it atleast one week but two is better to see improvement so I want to stick it out but I keep thinking can Vesicare make your frequency worse before better? I am not sure what's going and since it's the weekend kind of hard to call and ask!

i had a cmg test done today and the nusre told me it was the worst case of bladder spasm that she has ever seen and brought in other medical staff to see this they have put me on vesicare tablets 10 mg and i am wondering if there is anything else can be done i am worried in case it means i need to be catherterised because of this how likely is this ?
said I had a stenosis and atrophy of the urethra. Gave me a script for Vesicare but told me to wait a few days to see how procedure goes. also mentioned estrogen Creme. I am miserable....what should I do?
I have having OAB for years now, i am on vesicare medication but it is not really helping. Over the years i also been having ED here and there but recently it is getting worse...esp when i stop taking meds. Been seeing different urologist but they cant seem to find anything wrong with me. I am 34years.
Urologist ran another urinalysis and did another pelvic ultrasound, again all clean and negative. He gave me 5 mg of Vesicare to take once daily and told me to come back in a month. After 2 weeks, no relief from the Vesicare, so he gave me a 10 mg doseage. I return to see him on Monday (Feb. 11).
My problem is, I have had this pain for 4 months now. I don't know what to do about it. I have tried eliminating citrus, acids, caffeine, etc.
I am a 23 year old female who has the constant urge to urinate on and off for two months now. Various doctors have checked for a UTI and there is none. I have been on macrobid, vesicare and now I'm on flavoxate. Each of these medicines have worked for about a week and then I get the constant urge to urinate again. I just started the flavoxate and I have not gotten any relief. I'm not in any pain, but the constant urge to urinate seems painful and is affected my daily life greatly.
I go to the bathroom but it does not feel like a "relief" as in it feels like there is still a little more that could come out but it does not. I went to a doctor a few months back and he prescribed Vesicare but it does not really seem to be helping me. It's very frustrating because it feels like I cannot entirely empty my bladder even though like 90-95% comes out but that last bit stays in. What could the issue be?
ok now i am asking these very personal questions how about spasms they feel like very low bladder spasms probably more like in the urethra they are painful but come on quickly the dr. has prescribed buscopan to treat this?
Like 1/2 a plate most of the time. I am taking Vesicare, with a non standard dosing as I cannot tolerate it daily. It helps moderately. When the sensation is beyond able to bare I take Pyridium which is meant as a symptom killer for UTI's. It helps quite a bit, calms down my bladder. But long term use is not something it's intended for.

they actually found out I do NOT have diabetes insipidus (despite me running to the bathroom every 15 minutes). Instead they are giving me a pill Vesicare-I start it tonite. I agree, the headaches are horrible. I get facial migraines and am extrmely sensitive to light, sun, smells and loud noises. You?
Hello, I have to urinate about 20 + times a day. I go more often in the morning and the color is yellow. If I drink more than a few sips of water I have to start going like every 10 to 15 minutes for an hour or so. I get thirsty sometimes in the day but more than about 4 oz of water or so and I have to urinate very often. If my urinate is yellow, I'm somewhat dehydrated right? I'm worried I might be diabetic and not know it. Please help. I take Lexapro 20 mg each day and no other meds.
