vesicare medication

I was put on Vesicare 5 mg daily and also was taking fluoxetine for depression and anxiety over this condition. After taking the meds for awhile my symptoms went away and I was symptom free for 3 years. Because of the expense of the vesicare and because I was doing so well. I decided to stop taking both medications. My bladder was fine and normal and then about a year later the symtoms came back. So I am now back on the vesicare and the fluoxetine.

said I had a stenosis and atrophy of the urethra. Gave me a script for Vesicare but told me to wait a few days to see how procedure goes. also mentioned estrogen Creme. I am miserable....what should I do?

I have having OAB for years now, i am on vesicare medication but it is not really helping. Over the years i also been having ED here and there but recently it is getting worse...esp when i stop taking meds. Been seeing different urologist but they cant seem to find anything wrong with me. I've honestly never been clear on how the drugs for overactive bladder help people with urine retention. I have noticed though that several forum members with retention take them and figure there must be a good reason why they are prescribed. Can you clarify Lulu? If it's not too personal.... do you have an additional problem with distention incontinence or urge incontinence that this type of drug helps control? Inquiring minds (or at least this one little mind) want to know.

I'm using Vesicare and Lyrica and I just got my urinalysis result and they're normal. Can Vesicare and Lyrica affect urinalysis? Are they antibiotics?

does anyone get headaches from taking vesicare?? They seen to go away with advil. Anyone had these symptons, did they lessen with longer use of vesicare??

Ok here goes: I'm 28/female, pretty healthy ... on 10/6, about 1 week before I was to leave for Vegas I was extremely nervous about flying. Out of the blue I started having frequent urination problems. No urgency (meaning I could hold it if I had too) but just frequent trips to the bathroom. No real pain or anything. I have an underlying anxiety disorder that is not controlled and I did start to panic about these symptoms which in turn probably made them worse.

GP has put me on Vesicare 5mg. It is to help my incontinence. Anyone else taking this? How is it?

I was unable to get an early appointment and was advised by the consultants secretary that I was not a priority and reminded that there were other people who had cancer.I then tried vesicare medication however reacted quite badly to this in terms of stomach cramps etc.

It was good for few weeks but then the urge got stronger and I was again given Bactrim DS for 4 weeks and now even with Bactrim DC I am not feeling any better. Few days back the doctor increased the dose of Floamx to 0.8 mg and stopped the Vesicare. It did not help and the urge to urinate is there all the time and there is tightness in the bladder. I also took Celebrex for few days and it helped a little bit.

So I been kind of depressed, and 5 neuros later I think Im giving up trying to find a dx. The PTC doesnt explain all my other sx. Anyway, I had started on the Vesicare 10mg, for my overactive bladder. Well it appeared to be working, so when I saw my urologist, I told him for the most part it is working. Before I started the Diamox, my bladder kinda went back to the old dysfunctional way.

which meant I had to return to my urologist....He gave me elmiron and vesicare to treat the IC....the Elmiron never helped my pain and, the Vesicare took my blood pressure from 113/72 pulse 68 to 153/103 pulse 122...I contacted my urologist and, he stated...that's not true ... neither of these meds would cause your blood pressure to go up...well, I called him back four days later...

I have been on Ditropan, then Ditropan XR (or EX, don't remember which is correct) and after about 10 years that didn't work, so my doctor put me on Enablex and that works pretty well. Then I got a new Dr. and he wanted to switch me to Vesicare. That didn't work well, either, and I began having episodes of incontinence and urgency again. It's almost open enrollment for Medicare Part D, and the plan that is the most affordable otherwise doesn't cover Enablex at all anymore.

i had a cmg test done today and the nusre told me it was the worst case of bladder spasm that she has ever seen and brought in other medical staff to see this they have put me on vesicare tablets 10 mg and i am wondering if there is anything else can be done i am worried in case it means i need to be catherterised because of this how likely is this ?

So here I am on day 3 of Vesicare. Anyone have experience with this? I feel like since on it my frequency is actually up a bit. I was told to give it atleast one week but two is better to see improvement so I want to stick it out but I keep thinking can Vesicare make your frequency worse before better? Yes, I have it too, but not as bad as you. I have taken a medication in the past called Detrol and it worked great. I have this problem on and off, so I take no medication now. I would recommend you consult a Urologist. Kegel exercises are good, but I think your situation is beyond kegels.
